It would be harder to destroy, because it could only be used by Africans, so we would be able to put a security force into the area. What says the rest of you? Should we do this or not?

[b]CLASSIFIED[/b] King Mandella has noticed that there is a security force in the neighboring Tribal Zone, and notices that a government of some sort is forming there. Knowing this, bordering control has been turned over to the local police force, and the soldiers and their armor have returned to their bases. King Mandella also noticed that the nation's navy and army are growing rapidly. In order to organize them better, two navy bases and eight military bases are under construction throughout the country. Each navy base will house half of the fleet. One of the bases will be in the north and the other will be in the south. The eight army and air force bases will be scattered throughout the land. One division will be assigned to each of the bases, and the Rapid Reaction Force will be housed in the eighth base along with the eight division. Each of the land bases will also hold ninety aircraft, proportionate to the number currently in the air force. In a recent update to the king, the secret underground HQ is going as planned.

I would like to talk about the protectorates. I know that this is not our main concern right now, but I think I should speak up. I agree that there is a chance that the protectorate towards the east of my nation has a chance of being claimed. Slim, but there is still a chance. The other protectorates though-such as the ones like the former nation of Sands-I don't think has a chance of filling. Who would want to claim it? Sure a micro might want it, but they usually don't last long. What should we do about the various protectorates around this great continent?

[b]CLASSIFIED[/b] The military of Atlantis drew upon the best money, training, and technology the country had to offer. Finally, it was time for the Atlantis to launch phase two of its military build up-launch a military satellite. The battle suits the country was looking to develop did not require a satellite up-link, but it would increase the effectiveness of it. when the bill was signed by King Mandella, the plan was finally put into action. Many of the country's top scientists were put onto the task of launching a satellite that would be resistant to jamming and hacking attempts. King Mandella organized this group of scientists into an organization called the Atlantis Aeronautic Association, or AAA. The satellite was to double as a spy satellite and a communications satellite. Billions of dollars are being poured into this program, and the country hopes to launch a satellite within 6 months.

[size="2"][b]Classified[/b][/size] The King has come up with three plans for the military's groth and development. First, to protect the nation's compyter systems, all military computers are starting to be encased in lead containers to prevent disruption from EMPs. This tech is also available to the public if they want it. Second, plans are underway to build an underground military HQ for all planning and for a safe haven in the times of war. When the base is completed, it will only be open to the king and high ranking military officials. No one outside this group of people will even know it exists. Naturally it will be heavily guarded. Third, in order to help soldiers in battle and to reduce the number of deaths should Atlantis ever go to war, the military is starting to develop a battle suit to help the soldiers survive. Its many features include compartments for emergency morphine and salt, a knife and emergency light. Built into the forearms are a small recording device, a pepper-spray gun and a detachable transponder that can be swallowed in case of trouble. In the helmet, there's a solar-powered fresh-air system and a drinking tube attached to a canteen in the small of the back. A laser pointer mounted in the middle of the forehead is ready to point to snipers, while LED lights frame the face. The whole suit is made from high-impact plastic lined with ceramic bullet protection over ballistic foam. This armoe can stave off bullets, explosives, knives, and clubs. The armor protects everything on the body except for fingertips, and is lightly armored on all major joints. There is a satellite up link to the suit. As soon as the satellite is launched, any active suits will be turned on.

Atlantis will also pledge support to fight off lands that are rightfully African. If it should come to pass, Atlantis will help with the eviction of the Space Elevator. No foreign power should take over African land without the consent of Africa.

With the 12 additional ships, the Navy looks to expand by nearly 50%. The cost is $1.5 billion per attack submarine and $2 billion for each missile sub. Rumors have started spreading that the government was looking to buy 2 aircraft carriers to officially form a blue-water navy. A rumor also started spreading that the specs were starting to be drawn up. The government would not confirm either of these rumors.

This is just a thought, but we could convert one of the islands, particularly the one that is farther away from the homeland, into a military base. Considering the distance that it is from Africa main, it would be easier to defend the island and provide security if there were a constant presence of a military force. I myself would not mind committing some of my nation's soldiers to this if it does come to pass. What say all of you? On a somewhat related note, I think it would be better to put the islands located of the coast of Haven into our sphere of influence. (OOC: Read 'Protectorate')

[b]Closed to AUP Members[/b] King Mandella would also like to applaud Legion of its hard work done for the continent. he also shares Aeon's concern with the Canadian islands off the coast of Africa, and will be willing to send soldiers and machinery to help capture the islands as well. As for the fighter, King Mandella has noticed that since the specs had been sent to the various leaders, there hasn't been much criticism and improvement as he had hoped. King Mandella would like the various nations of Africa to come together and build a uniform air force fighter and bomber to protect many interests. Should Africa go to war together, having different types of fighters would prove more of a liability than helpful to the more advanced air forces. OOC: Out of time

Since this control would take time to establish, the Atlantian government knew something had to be done to prevent border jumpers. All roads leading out of the Protectorate into Atlantis has been blocked and security checkpoints have been set up, looking for anything illegal. Hearing of the instability in the area. [b]CLASSIFIED[/b] The soldiers got their orders, and they were stunned. They had not expected this to happen, but knew that they had no say in it. When they were packing, many of the soldiers had no idea where they were to go. They knew that the Eastern Federation was no more, so they could not return to their home country. Many of the soldiers thought that heading to Atlantis would be a good idea. Many of their friends were already there, so it would be a good place to go. The soldiers knew that settling in would be tough though. A few soldiers did not want to go to any knew country to start a life they did not want to start. A group of 20 soldiers decided to go into the desert and live in an oasis. They remaining of the 3,000 soldiers began their long trek into what they hoped to be their new home of Atlantis. OOC: I barely know what I am doing, so bear with me IC: 18 legion attack helicopters were sent to attack the Northern Province. This would only leave 2 helicopters to help guard the airfield and the base, but they knew that they needed to bring the war to the rebels. The plan was as followed: The 18 Legion Attack Helicopters were told to split into 9 groups of 2 helicopters each. The helicopters were told to keep a minimum of 100 meters between each helicopter in a team. Each of the teams were told to go to a specific target and fire off all the missiles that they except 1, just in case it was needed later. The targets were received from the various drone scouting done earlier. The helicopters were then told to return to base immediately afterwards. To help reduce casualties, the raid was scheduled to occur during the dead of night.

The General was nervous even though he did not show it. It was too quiet. Ever since that bomb explosion near battalion 1 in that village, no other rebel had even bothered to attack. Sure, the soldiers split up into smaller groups and they had roadblocks, but this was different. No one was attempting to kill the soldiers at all. It was almost like the army trying to subdue them was not even worth the effort.
