Thanks to Monaco and Portugal, who have given us much needed humanitarian aide, most of the farms outside of the cities in the south are being fed. The North is unable to be fed by the United States government although the U.S. government is attempting to give food the the UPR to distribute. Fire wood is also being distributed and delivered at no charge to many households who can either not afford it or live in isolated locations. With growing aggressions from the north, plans are being made to defend the south with intentions of later invading the north. Military headquarters are in Douglas inside the Orange House. No official word has been given of what the plans are to invade. The air force is patrolling the coast and northern border and being careful not to cross over enemy borders. On foggy days, several attempts are being made to send spy planes and take pictures of enemy positions. The Union of Island Nations is currently at DEFCON 3 so you may be able to understand the confusion with our air-traffic control but I can assure you that two Air force jets will be able to direct your humanitarian aide to Duglas. I like your idea of a Nuclear Power plant on the island, because it would provide a stable amount of electricity, but unfortunately that is not the problem. [i][size="7"][font="Times New Roman"]Cold Times Ahead[/font][/size][/i] This winter may be one of the coldest in the history of the island. Record snowfall combined with freezing temperatures have put a true strain on the people of the UIN. With the majority of the island running on heat from fires, one can only wonder if the people of the island can actually survive this winter. With cold weather, food shortages have taken claim in West Republic and the other communist nations because [i]Island Crops[/i], the local company that produces 83% of the island's crops, refuses to work in communist nations. Coastland declared a state of emergency yesterday while the Island Republic is almost doing as bad as the other nations of the island. President David has recently called all armed forces into active duty and has declared a National Emergency. We spoke earlier with him today, "The Union of Island Nations currently has several internal problems going on right now. On top of this, we are trying to keep people from freezing and starving in their own living rooms. This is why today I am officially declaring a National Emergency. All military personal are being called into duty. Thanks to the Irish nations on the west coast, we have several thousand volunteers are being brought together to bring the existing wood that is left on the island from former imports from Ireland to people who need it... For [i]free[/i]. President David and Vice President Robert also announced that they are going to be calling an emergency diplomatic meeting with Ireland and will be going [i]themselves[/i] to Dublin to talk to the King of Ireland. No official word has been heard if this meeting has been set up yet, but let us hope that for the safety and sovereignty of the Island; the president can get this done. On a final note, Owen Wilson, owner Island Farms, announced that, "we have three tons of corn that we will be distributing for free thanks to a grant from the government." This is one of Mr. Wilson's greatest acts of charity yet. The UIN will make it through this... Hopefully more of us then less of us will.

Once all of the men were out Badb scratched her head, "We could just kill them..." Áine didn't protest because she honestly wouldn't mind but David sighed, "No. If we are going to do this then we are going to do it the right way. Yes some of these men are very un-honorable... But many of them are." Áine knew what would need to happen but was afraid to say it, "We all know that this will work, but it also will not work." Robert looked a little confused but before he could ask her what she meant she continued, "See, you are going to have many of these nations agree with you. But some are going to stay together. If you want to accomplish this, someone, somewhere is going to get conquered." Robert's iPhone started to buzz and he looked at the text message, "The dictator of West Republic just left the capital.." David sat back in his chair and looked over to the other three people, "I'm not sure if we could pull this off on our own..." Robert quickly replied, "The Irish.." Badb then interrupted, "The Irish would like stability in the British Isles, I can tell you that right now, but maybe it would be better if we would ask Monaco. They, afteral, were the original owners of this island." David looked up at the beautifully decorated domb that had a old, almost ancient map of the Isle. It didn't show the different city states, but instead it showed one united island with a man with red hair and a woman with red hair holding hands. "Monaco and Ireland are both powerful. We wouldn't ask for one to help with defense and one to help with offense? After all, they are our closest allies." Badb didn't have any objections and neither did Áine, although she still wanted to go the way of peace. "Remember David, peace before war. WE must prepare for war, we must have our defenses set up, we must be organized, but we must not act until we know that there is no other way." "Yeah, yeah yeah" said Badb in reply, "Peace if great but war is better. You actually accomplish things in a war. Peace is almost always about compromise, which is something the island does not need or want." Badb and Áine, her twin sister, usually disagreed on everything political. Diplomacy, foreign affairs, internal affairs, war, and strategies were things they seemed to be total opposites on; like water and fire. David pulled out his new iPhone and typed in his password a few times before getting it right. "I'll send a message to Monaco and the Irish and see if we can set up a meeting here in Douglas.
