2. Thank you gentlemen. I expected something else (neutrality) but you opted for rational action. Thank you.
3. It'd be interesting to see what would happen if the aggressors used ZI.
4. Just another example of Admin refusing to recognize the potential of CN and letting our numbers dwindle.
5. We're like that girl that you go to the beach and see but are too scared to talk to. Yeah.
6.
The only thing wrong with the game are the people playing. Good luck Krunk thanks for being entertaining.
Tell that to the 20,000 people who.. oh wait.. yeah, they're not around anymore. I guess we're not allowed to discuss how we can sustain or save this game since contributing players who voice their opinions on it are called doomsayers, have their threads shut down, or are called stupid. I don't look forward to the day when I tell you I told you so. But when you log in one day and the server is down and doesn't come back up I know you'll do a facepalm.
7. You're funny and creative, I like that. Let me fill you in, No updates in like 2 years. A great community that was once centered around an interesting and developing game which has stopped trying to be interesting and is no longer being developed. The reason why so many people are saying that CN needs to be saved is because, and get this because it is very important, many of us really really like this community and don't want to see it end like so many others. The people who are telling you this are not wearing tinfoil hats. We have been smart, contributing members. Keep pretending like nothing is wrong though.
8. Haters gonna hate Krunk. Bob can't stand anyone or anything different. How dare you try to have fun?
9. Blasted. Its pretty clear to me that: 1. Bob has been abandoned by its Creator. 2. A clique of self-important lifers say, "everything is fine" even though the facts and statistics prove the opposite. 3. A million great ideas for rejuvenation and reform are constantly dismissed by the same folks who took advantage of the gaming structure in the first two years. 4. No matter what any of you say, you know as well as I do that the moment CN 2 comes out (or ANYTHING remotely similar to it) that most of us will abandon Bob and let the few score of you who are left play with yourselves and each other. Its gonna happen sooner or later, so pretend to be witty and stick your heads back in the sand. (or somewhere else for that matter)
10. For some reason this thing wouldn't let me post a comment on Peggy Sue's blog. I have Fish and Wheat, am willing to change to any color for a trade circle, and can't find anything. I have never had this problem in over four years of playing Cybernations (with a few different nations, of course). The game is on the decline and I wouldn't be surprised to see us dip all the way down to 12 to 13 thousand players before this year is over. Admin is sitting on his hands. There's a clique of hardcore players out there who refuse to recognize the problem (they're the ones who say that its all the players faults) and won't let great Suggestions in the Suggestions box work. The game is dying. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that its almost on life-support right now. We need a Cybernations 2. This is bloody ridiculous.
11. That's a shame Krunk, I enjoyed your presence. Cheers. [another active and contributing member bites the dust.. but even though there's almost less than 20k of us left there's NOTHING wrong with Bob, NOPE *rollseyes*] EDIT: Kazeki, I don't know how old you are but I've remembered Krunk for YEARS. Stow it.
12.
I thought that was /b/? Probably only a minority remember them nowadays. As for me, I was at the helm of the Viridian Entente through a crucial shift in the global power structure. However you feel about that, it was a heck of a ride.
I still remember rallying a crusade against /b/ that night.
13. I didn't kick the crap out of the guy who "vanished" from my trade guild on Christmas day. Or the guy who dropped yesterday after 306 days.
14. This is silly. Its nothing that a week long war wouldn't fix. After the dust settles, shake hands and go home.
15. In medical terminology, NPO is shorthand for "not by mouth". I giggle inside whenever I see it.
16. Needs more Indeed. Good luck in your studies.
17. To echo King Alexander IV, the opinion that Bob's deterioration is not happening or that it is happening and is completely the result of its participants is foolish because 1. our numbers are decreasing not stagnating, and 2. the vitality of any entertainment product depends on healthy communication between producers and consumers with the former inheriting the responsibility for meeting consumer needs by providing a compromise between what is a need and what is a demand. The repeated dogma by elitists (die-hard individuals who try to shift blame for the problem from that which they love most) has protracted this bitter debate between those who accept that there is a problem and those who refuse to accept that anything can be wrong with this cherished pastime; I assume, that for the latter to accept that there's anything wrong is an admission that the self-worth of their accomplishments is less because they were forged in an era that encouraged questionable skill. Ignore the calls for change at your own peril. I'm sure some of us introspective rogues have already figured out where this thing is headed if our warnings aren't heeded.
18. What if Bob gets revamped and updates start finally happening? Won't you regret having to start again?
19. I'm an '06er and when I spent my first year and a half on Blue I remember him; pleasant fellow to talk to, all class. When a Senator quits its time to look how can we spark up ye olde entertainment to get the wheels spinning around here. OOC: Canadian goal scored, I'll bb
20. Thank you Sir. o7 It has been an honor and a privilege serving in the Corps. This is the finest company of men and women I have ever worked with; as a unit our feet have just touched the ground, feet first!
21.
This is true, when I first joined CN I was raided by someone much larger than me (A whole 1000 NS! ). It was rather disheartening to log in one afternoon and find my nation in ruins. I was days into the game. I had no clue at all the scope of time nation building plays out in (and you thought Eve Online skill training took patience) I didn't understand why I'd been attack, or who was coming after me. It was long long before warchest, hell it was before the idea of even back collecting. But then my alliance explained to me about raiding, sent me money (400k! Holy !@#$ I was rich!) and walked me trough how to kick some raider ass. Unbeknownst to me, they had obviously engaged in some diplomacy on the side as well to get him cleared for counter attack. That got me active, curious and involved. I had to get on IRC to get war instructions, and damn if I never ever got off IRC after that. Seriously I think I've been logged off IRC longer than the time it takes to reboot maybe twice in the last year. When the world goes quiet and nothing is happening on the OWF, IRC is alive and well. This game would have vanished years ago without the IRC. There are dozens, if not hundreds of incidents that never make it off IRC, or involve many hours of IRC but result in 5 minute OWF announcements. And if those are not enough you always have your friends to kick back with and just shoot the !@#$. There are several players who just don't bother with their nation at all, because its a side show, your infra farm is a means to an end, not the goal. I build my nation so that I may be a force to be reckoned with should I be called to war, but buying a wonder every 30 days and importing tech as I can isn't exactly exciting. You know whats exciting? Sitting in back channels on the eve of war, tabbing back and forth from the forums looking for DoW's while you scan a half dozen channels on IRC trying to keep up with rumors, and dealing with your own government duties at the same time as the member only channel explodes to 5 times its usual population and its all people with questions, people who were silent till war broke out but now everybody needs instructions at once. All the while screaming at the CN login page because its 4 minutes till update and the 10,000 people hammering f5 just brought the sever to its knees. I'm getting a buzz just talking about it.
Something physical just happened to me.
