1.
Nobody gives a !@#$ about GOD, its all about VE. GOD is not making your stupid choices for you. On the plus side for GOD you all are moving into the top spot of Planet Bobs most hated alliances. Wait a second. Perhaps that has been your plan all along to help GOD. Take the heat off them by becoming Planet Bob biggest !@#$ bag alliance. Clever.
Someone is jealous.
 2.
This isn't going to fix your PR disaster. Indeed, this will probably just make it worse. I've never agreed with The Big Bad before in my four and a half years here, but he's right in that this only cements your reputation as huge idiots.
You mean the people who hated us before still hate us now? I'm so surprised.
 3.
http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/Balkan_Entente In the understanding that we live in dangerous times, full of intrigue, betrayal and opportunism, the three signatories hereby reaffirm their commitment to the defense of one another and their respective dominions against any foreign aggression. GOD is on the defensive side of this conflict; there's no non-chaining language apparent; the treaty pre-dates the appearance of non-chaining in treaties; and it is a MADP, not an MDoAP. Add to that that VE was active in the planning of GOD's destruction, and I think we can call it a day and ask you to please spare us all the agony of watching the WarriorConcept defend this spinelessness, betrayal, and base survivalism.
I knew this post sounded familiar...
 4. franzjosef. By far one of my favorite rogue/trolls ever. I wish he had been around longer.
 5.
Man, you showed him.
Ah, and right on cue.
 6. Here's to another 4 years.
Neither can I
I'm sorry if Impero hurt your feelings. He can be kind of insensitive sometimes.
 7.
With 3 Lords of the Entente running alliances, GOD is finally safe. derp.
Now all that's left is to activate our sleeper agent in CoJ....
 8.
There is no chaining mention in the defensive clause either: The emphasis is mine of course. Also see the first part of the clause, looks like it was written specially for this current times no? Of course if GOD agrees with this new(at least for me) interpretation for the treaty I see no problem with that, but only if GOD agrees.
As I stated previously in response to Schattenman's post, all of our treaties were retroactively "unchained" a while ago, and the treaty partners were told. It's been standard practice for us since then.
 9.
How a MADP is non-chaining? Or GOD/VE downgraded it to a MDoAP?
If GOD is pulled into a war because of an outside treaty it doesn't mean the mutual aggression clause is activated.
 10.
The Balkan Entente was written years before the advent of non-chaining clauses and contains no such language. Though I suppose that the "we hereby affirm our commitment to support one another in any such action, in any way we deem fit." could be pigeon-holed into a modern non-chaining interpretation along the lines of "good luck, buddy, we'll be here with cash when the war's over."
The decision was made under Cornelius (I think) to make all treaties non-chaining, including the ones we already held. We never went back and added in any clauses, but our allies know.
 11.
Yeah there is a very easy way to avoid the situation anyways, as evidenced the last few wars. Whoever GOD hits will just have people ghost their AA and fight back, negating the need for a counter-dow, and thus not activating the defense treaty. I suppose they could go in with the aggression, but that's not all that likely. Does that treaty have a non-chaining clause? Edit: Also, congrats to VE and TOP on this fine treaty
All of our treaties are non-chaining.
 12. Two terrible alliances killing each other? I like the sound of this.
 13. Yeah true but where are they going to find an actor that is 100 years old? The bigger issue is one that isn't going to croak before they finish the series.
 14.
K, just making sure. The wording of it all is pretty ambiguous in that just because neither is required to tech deal doesn't mean that NpO can't be forced to by Ve et all invoking term 2.
How does it get any less ambiguous than saying the aid deals are not required? I know you really want to find a reason to complain about these terms, but you should come up with something better.
 15.
Then why are they here in such numbers defending it?
Because they're our protectorate and we like them quite a lot?
 16.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! how do those dispute anything i stated? i stated that it would be quite easy to interpret that Xiph helped set up Polaris in order to war against Polaris. where did you exactly dispute anything? oh wait, you really didn't. the first link actually further confirms that Xiph in fact helped establish the set up against Dajobo. One could say his "I had personal doubts as to the logs authenticity" is just some throwaway line kind of like Dajobo's "i was just lolling with you" or Dajobo's "I do not condone spying"... that line is just some attempt to cover up the fact that he was actively plotting against an ally of Ragnarok. (again i am just stating how all of this can be interpreted to prove a point. i honestly don't care whether Xiph had any malicious intent or not as i am not allied to Xiph, nor would i ever be if i can possibly help it)
It seems you just don't have the comprehension or communicative skills necessary to make a coherent argument. Maybe English isn't your first language? I don't know. As Xiph said, he suggested screenshots be offered to Dajobo to confirm whether or not Polar was serious about spying. We could've just rolled them off the initial logs if we had wanted to.
as for the second link- well, what exactly did Dajobo do towards VE prior to this incident? from what i know, absolutely nothing. so, Xiph was friendly before hand and then all of a sudden (kind of out of nowhere just like with Dajobo) became unfriendly towards Polaris. i mean, again it is just like Dajobo all of a sudden, out of nowhere, for no reason whatsoever, establishing a spy ring to spy on VE...
What does this at all have to do with the second link? How can you compare Xiph saving NpO's bacon multiple times to Dajobo and VE prior to this incident?
so yeah, using ya'lls very loose and utterly stupidly ridiculous interpreting skills, i can easily interpret it to Xiph maliciously manufacturing a CB in order to war against Polaris- who is an ally of Ragnarok. (same holds true with Impero though far less is needed in terms of actual interpretation as Impero did set out to manufacture a CB against Polaris hence the lack of diplomacy)
U mad?
 17.
"Okay, I have to confess to being pretty pissed off to see R_V and others try and tar VE/Impero for the screenshot stuff for one simple reason – they did it because I asked them to." http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=97492&st=0&p=2590234&#entry2590234 (i.e. 2nd post in this thread) kthxbai. 18.
not really. i have no actual clue to be honest other than Xiph stating he gave advice to Impero about using Lennox to give screenshots to Dajobo. as Brandon stated, it is also relevant in that i and others could easily interpret the events to be the way i stated with just as much evidence as you guys have on Dajobo (more really since Xiph did state he talked to Impero about this event and what to do, which is far more than what Dajobo did with Lennox). but the bolded, really applies to all those who think that Dajobo tried to start a spy ring.
If you read some of the posts at the start of the thread, you'll see that Xiph has been doing his best to keep NpO's bacon out of the fire ever since BiPolar.
 19.
so what you are saying is that you are reading what you want to into what occurred instead of reading the words as they are actually written? i don't care how you interpret them, because interpretation fails without any actual evidentiary support to back it up. you have no support other than again, your interpretations of what actually happened. kthx. now that we got that tidbit settled, we can move on. Xiph stated himself that he told Impero to use Lennox to give screenshots to Dajobo. so, yes, i would state that Xiph had a large hand in starting this war and not only that but a large hand in setting up the ally of Ragnarok, which shows that Xiph is far less trustworthy than you want to state. and given ya'lls predilection with stating that if the gov does it, then the alliance does, that means that all of GOD had a hand in trying to manufacture a CB for the sole purpose of creating war with an ally of Ragnarok. VE did so with an ally of Nueva Vida. Then to cover their asses, they lied their asses off about what actually occurred. now that we have that tidbit settled, do ya'll really want to continue? cuz, right now, ya'll not looking that good at all and one can only hope that GOD/VE get more than just RoK/NV to cancel on them since it is blatantly obvious that both alliances are willing to manufacture a CB to war, and not only that but to war against allies of GOD/or VE. if i was in an ally that was once removed from either GOD or VE, i would be wondering if i was next.
So you think Xiph wanted to engineer a war to take out NpO? You really are clueless.
 20.
Then i await the punishment of Impero who was the one who gave Lennox the screenshots he gave Dajobo. If said spy attempt is so damning, then those who aided said spying should be punished but i will just wait the blathering excuses from VE/allies about why Impero won't be punished for spying on VE. We already saw it with Lennox. seems it is not that damning but instead just useful.
You obviously did not read the OP.
 21.
So what you're saying, is that people that don't like you guys are able to look at a very obvious and successful collusion to start a war
If they don't like us then I don't have any illusions about how they're going to view our CB no matter how solid it is.
for no other reason that VE doesn't like Polaris
This is just you trying to come up with some reason for us to attack you since you refuse to admit that you're second in command got caught spying. I won't say we were buddy buddy, but to think we disliked you to the point that we'd fabricate a CB just to take you out is a stretch. Just go look at the Polar embassy in our boards. Do the comments in there look like those of an alliance that wants to destroy you?
and those that do like you guys happen to look at said blatantly obvious circumstance, yet don't see anything at all?
Our allies are going to side with us, yours with you. I think that's pretty obvious from the comments I've seen so far. That's how it is in most wars.
I mean, the evidence here is exceptionally damning.
Yeah, the evidence that Polar spied on VE is pretty damning. edit: grammar
 22.
The world pretty much concurs that VE set this up.
If you mean Polar and allies plus those that didn't like us to begin with, then yes, I would agree with you.
