2.
The best part of this thread is people claiming their own alliances to be super-alliances.
The best part of this thread is Schattenmann claiming his alliance is a super-alliance.
 3.
Common sense would involve not demanding high reparations to begin with...no high reps, no complaining about terms that goes public, no major PR hit against CSN. Your attempts to make it ABC (Anyone But CSN's fault) just don't work.
How is that common sense? Common sense dictates higher penalties for an aggressor since they did not have to deal with being beaten down in the war. As time goes on, the reps would have lessened, probably to a white peace. This is literally how it has worked forever. Reps start out higher, get negotiated lower. Except you took them public, and it would have looked bad for SF to cave to public pressure, so they... didn't. Thus, higher terms. I happen to know the intentions of CSN .gov. You don't. When DT's supporters brought it to the OWF, they forced CSN to dig in and enforce harsh terms to avoid "looking weak." You forced the white peace option off the table. Deal with it.
For arguments sake lets call the reps=a bomb...
Go away...
 4.
See, we get along with Hoo now. Despite our past with RoK we have a fairly good relationship with them these days. We both started clear with each other after Six Mil, and found cause to mutually respect each other during the last war. The same is true for many other alliances whom once held a poor image of us. We've made friends out of enemies, or at the very least made them no longer our enemies. The NSO is always willing to offer out its hand in peace, and we've offered that hand to SF on at least three different occasions. The bad blood started when we hit RAD, and incidents started popping up constantly after that. While the NSO is guilty of starting a few, SF provoked us just as much. Still, NSO saw the foolishness and tried to make peace. We were rejected every single time. Perhaps we just needed a fight to get it out of our systems, as happened with RoK and NSO, but we've fought GOD and RnR twice now. One of these allies refuses to let it rest, and continued to view us as an enemy even when we tried to bury the hatchet. When RoK attacked NSO it brought a few allies along. One of them attempted to hijack the war and make it their own. This alliance felt Hoo wasn't being hard enough on us (despite us having lost three quarters of our strength and having dealt a deal of damage internally, to the point of near collapse, we still had not suffered enough for our mistake). I'll admit, I was quite annoyed with Hoo, since I was led to believe a peaceful solution could have been settled. But I've forgiven him, as we did stupidly hand him a CB on a silver platter. But it was RoK's war, it always was, and I've not forgotten your attempt to take it over to satisfy your own psychotic agenda. And then there is the matter of attitude when fighting. When we fought RoK members we found them to be quite classy. I talked with quite a few of them and found them to be pleasant people. RnR on the other hand felt a need to brag about its capabilities, quite impressed with their abilities to perform adequately against an outnumbered alliance. Your trash talking and puffing has not ceased. Well, let me tell you, if it were just you and us we would have wiped the floor with your sorry lot. Each and every Sith is worth ten, at least, of yours. Perhaps one day you will discover that to your misfortune. But enough about Six Mil, that was almost a year ago, and we had no dealings with SF since. We had even laid low to keep out of your business. We were humbled. Yet a least one of you still hasn't been able to let go of the past. As you might know NSO came to NPO's defense, joining a hundred lesser alliances who had dogpiled GOONS and still needed our help (we couldn't ask TPF to be the only competence alliance on that front, could we?). So we fought GOONS, and came to like them surprisingly enough. They liked us too, and gave us and our allies a reasonable peace offer. We were not eager to get out of that war, with NPO and TPF still fighting, but we heard we were going to be hit soon. GOD would not have hit us immediately, but the chain existed for him to do so. Knowing him he'd have hit us and our allies. Naturally GOD wouldn't do much fighting, only enough to have a say in the peace talks. Xiphy's M.O. has always been to work his way onto a front that has mostly clear up, takeover the peace talks and be a general pain in the behind. It would have been his style to make sure GOONS didn't "go light" on us. He'd push for more than GOONS thought we deserved. GOONS and others fighting us, although maybe wanting to see us get a peace, would feel pressured to keep fighting us if only to prevent Xiphy from screwing us over in the peace talks without them present (GOD alone can't do much, but Xiphy does have his merry band of little idiot followers who can do his work for him). I have nothing but speculation to base that on (but it not an unfounded belief, considering that Xiphy had done it twice during the war already with UPN and DT), but believe me when I say the NSO considered that greatly when we were offered terms by GOONS. We did not care much about having to fight GOD ourselves. Some of us relished the idea. If it came to that we would have shifted all of our resources off GOONS and MK and focused entirely on GOD. But we would not put our allies in TPC and PhR through Xiphy's madness. We've not forgotten that either. Xiphy, the Sith do remember. I hope you're looking forward to dealing with us during the peace negotiations as we are with you.
Or we can just kill them because they're morons. Either reason works, really.
 5.
No, the reason for the reps was that CSN chose to impose reps. Whatever the reasons were for their choice(and those can be debated), the bottom line is it was their choice. No more, no less...
Not quite. When they chose to take the terms public, they forced CSN to enforce them (when in reality if you had held on a week or two anyways you would have been fine and probably had less reps and taken less damage than you eventually did.) Of course, you got a PR victory. But let's not make this something it's not. DT and their allies forced the terms to be applied. Period. This is really common sense stuff here guys.
Dear SF, I feel strongly that the only thing that could improve your bloc and its composite alliances would be getting stomped out of existance. How does this make you feel? Hugs and Kisses, RV
I agree. SF should have been mercy killed a long time ago. And we should play by Xiphosis' rules when handing out terms.
 6.
if they wanted to take advice they would have done it before trying to extort DT
Pretty much the only reason DT had to pay those reps is because of the way people like you handled the situation. Read Delta's response early in the thread. He explains it pretty well.
 7.
You FILLED all of their slots. Do you think we would even notice if it were just 10 offers? Do you really think I'm going to make screenshots of all our aid screens? I find it really funny that you are now going to deny it because those guys ended up cancelling the aid. Pretty amateurish. I just found one of my guys copied 1 page of an aidscreen already listing 13 NG aid deals. I'll put them up soon as 'evidence'. -snip- Last shot is proof that they filled at least 1 guy's almost all slots. Why wouldn't CSN fill all the slots anyway of those 5-6 dealers?
Seriously, who cares? I'm for rolling SF as much as the next guy, but stop being a baby. Tech dealing =/= an issue.
 8.
We're all here until the end.
Here's hoping that end comes sooner rather than later.
 9.
So basically you're raiding them because they wanted us to protect them instead? We were literally in the process of writing up the agreement. Literally.
Write faster.
 10.
I'm not challenging anyone, I have no reason to as stated above, I am not the one with something to prove. However I also stated I would have no problem fighting someone 1v1 so if Mr. Malones has something to prove and attacks me, then it will not expand beyond a 1v1 scope from my end.
Dude, just stop. Seriously.
 11.
Maybe not, but I certainly can expect every raiding alliance to have read the treaty threads, and raiders to check with their alliance before attacking. NG were lucky this time in that the raiding was 'unofficial' and they could brush it off, but raiding a protected AA results in reps, and ignorance is not an excuse. If you attack an alliance because you didn't read their treaty list, that's your fault, not theirs.
Or, you know, you could put 3 words in your bio rather than expecting every alliance to set up internal lists and offices to keep track of the hundreds if not thousands of declarations of protection dating back 5 years. Those 3 words in your bio protect against pretty much everything, and in the event you're raided, solidify your case and make it more likely you'll receive reps. If you don't like being raided and you have an easy option to avoid said raids, don't expect my sympathy when you don't exercise that simple option.
I have never ever been a fan of raiding and I view those that do it as immoral and cheap. Buy your own tech and stop raiding people that have worked hard and spent cash to build up. My opinion will never change and I will personally NEVER raid someone else.
Make me.
 12.
Searching for "NAAC protected" and "NAAC protector" found me a relevant post in about 5 seconds. Internet is pretty hard.
Put. It. In. Your. Bio. We are not doing a dozen keyword searches on the forums because you're too lazy to type "Protected by XXX" in your bio or wiki. Yes, if there's a recent announcement (or even not-so-recent announcement) we may remember it. But if we don't that's too bad. You can't expect every raider to have read all of the thousands of threads posted here. You're saying that every new nation, before being allowed to tech raid, to go through the entire backlog of threads and make notes on what alliances are protected? Just so that someone can avoid having to put three words in their nation bio? Go away... If you don't make it clear you're protected, we're probably going to raid you. If you don't like that fact, do something about it.
 13.
3 Orders and somehow none of them want to play nice together.
It's because they're all !@#$.
 14.
Ok.. so real question. I hear there are these 2 alliances.. called FoA and KoN... whats say you, us , and NG have us a raiding party?
I'm still watching.
 15. This thread is sad on so, so many levels. And the replies are just as bad as the OP. Go away. All of you.
 16.
Don't worry, we'll invite all the ex-Synergy members to put their boots on your throat when we're done with you. I agree with you completely.
I can't wait.
 17.
In retrospect, Synergy did accomplish something though. ... We have learned ... how to handle the dynamics of an ever changing community...

However time, change, and the flux of the world as we know it moved on so did the concepts, the dreams, the hopes. Today is a sad day as Synergy couldn't meet our expectations, live up to our dreams, and provide for our hopes.
Apparently you didn't learn how to handle change. The only thing you accomplished was to prove that, despite how terrible SF is, they still had the capability to beat you like the red-headed stepchild after you talked back to them. Congratulations on that, and good riddance.
 18.
The secret clause of the RoK-PC peace treaty is finally revealed Best of luck. Hopefully the animosity we held with members of PC dies with the alliances name.
It won't. I hope your alliance burns. Again.
 19. 16:54:53 (Penkala) 2 worst alliances in PB merge, then Penkala joins. 16:54:55 (Penkala) absolute !@#$.
 20.
Cager, I think I have your new diplomatic assignment.
I sure hope so...
 21.
Only one side has been hanging on to the past. I hope MK and your allies can move on now that NPO are below 5m NS, but we have been here before and when you and your allies have the motto "everything must die" and set a precedent of attacking anyone you like for no reason I doubt you will let peace mean peace. We all know what happens when your "top quality" members get bored. We will have to wait and see what happens when they rebuild because MKs word doesnt count for much when it comes to granting peace to an alliance. Congrats NPO, your time will come MK. They expect not to be talked to like they are dirt in their own house. Life is full of disappointments. How do you think them opening up their embassy to you again will make things better when you treated them like crap when they let you in before and after they banned your loutish members they ended up getting rolled.
I have a homework assignment for you. Take the amount of time equal to how long we've been terrorizing after Karma. So just under 2 years now. Then take that and pick any 1 year, 11-month period and apply it to any continuous 1 year, 11-month period between GWIII and Karma. Make a list of the wars NPO participated in and a list of the wars MK participated in. Until you do this, shut your mouth.
 22. NPO and MK lift their diplomatic embargos towards one another, hopefully this leads to lasting peace for the cyberverse,
