The problem is you only read the first few lines of the post instead of the entire thing.

I think a big part of the issue is FAN was never given any notification to stop the violators or even a clarification of 20 percent AND that this violation had been happening for months, but NPO decided to wait till the terms were almost done to sneak attack the entire alliance. If NPO really had an issue with the violators they would have addressed it months before when the violations began instead of waiting till the terms were almost over to catch FAN on a technicality(which in no way violated the spirit of the surrender, FAN was definitely not using these soldiers for anything and the terms only had 4 days left on them).

Actually its a statement that their isn't any nefarious intent. Its a more formal style of english, but yes she is rejecting the possibility that there is any nefarious intent.

Do you have any evidence that NPO intended this penalty? Based on NPOs past behavior and the logs of the diplomats from the discussion, I find it far more likely the entire alliance would have gotten at least one round of war and Sethb would have gotten at least ZI. I am sure OV felt the same way. NPO has never been known to be a merciful victor, so I doubt they would have suddenly changed their tune and given OV a very light reprimand.

I would like to address this point. I will agree that this war is not good for OV, however remember that NPO started this war. It would not have been good for them regardless of Karmas involvement. You seem to think OV is being "used" by Karma. However, OV asked for their Karma allies help. You act as if had Karma not intervened in any way, OV would have happily gotten out of this situation. No, instead of being at the "mercy" of their allies(which I don't see as any different than any war situation, an alliance is always at the mercy of its allies to come and defend it), they would be at the mercy of the NPO. OV made a choice, they could have been rolled by the NPO or protected with their allies help, I dont see how they are now considered a "tool" because they had their allies help them in a war instead of being rolled by the NPO. Just because Karma may have had motives other than helping OV, does not mean OV did not accomplish what it wanted from this war.

How is that any different than what happened with FAN? I find it ironic that your fear here is that Karma will start acting like the NPO. I think your fear is unfounded. Even if you believe a few of the alliances involved would act like the NPO and declare on a minor term violation, most of the Karma alliances would want nothing to do with it. Meaning those few that you could see wanting to would lack the support needed. I dont think you need to worry about Karma pulling an NPO, there is simply too many players who would have no part of it for that sort of thing to get through.

Actually, I believe you are very misinformed on that point. From what lead Karma alliances have said, its a total of two weeks of war for each nation which has already been taken into account. Nations wont be at war for longer than that. The clock starts for each nation on an individual level when they enter war mode. The amount of damage they will take will be within tolerable levels to repay reps. Even after going back to ZI, most nations will have a large enough war chest to buy back to aiding status.

We already have polls on that(are we too harsh? and others)... and ridiculous is a rather vague weasel word so I don't know how to respond to that, but the terms have been proven completable by neutral parties in approximately 6 months.

I think its very illogical considering that Pacifica was the the one who canceled treaties on NpO based on internal issues, not external ones. No alliance is responsible for the splitting of the 2 alliances other than the NPO..

If you get your enjoyment from nation building, you can join a neutral alliance that stays out of war and nation build to your hearts content. You dont need to participate in the war system.

Well in that case his argument is completely false and unfounded. Once again, just because you have a minority opinion does not mean free speech is not available. I have not seen anyone on the Karma side threaten someone who speaks against them. Free speech actually does exist now.

Can you provide me with government members making these comments? I have heard people saying the terms won't get any better, but I have not seen any government member in charge of setting terms say that they will become worse.

After reading through it, I find someone of the posts very funny. Particularly the last one in the thread, saying the poster "cant wait to see Doitzels reaction if the NPO one day falls".

Just because you hold an opinion in the minority on these forums does not mean there is no free and open debate. There stops being free and open debate when people are threatened with attack for speech Or when alliances tell there members to be quiet for fear of treading on the wrong alliances toes.

Yeah, having a GGA level military or FAN level military is irrelevant if you don't have any allies who will fight for you in the war, because you will just be too massively outnumbered.

I did not think NPO would be able to give karma a valid reason to make the terms harsher, but they seem to have proved me wrong.

Funny, I have always thought light and day are extremely similar concepts.
