  1. It seems to me like the issue is that NPO strove so hard to be the king in a unipolar environment that they were willing to drop any allies who threatened this cause. NPO saw the NpO as a threat to that(with the blocks they had made unhappy), so instead of having a bipolar world, they decided to drop their closest ally.
  2. Relax, we have enough serious business threads already.
  3. So then how do you explain what James said about members being ordered to get out of peace mode with the fact that members are not getting out of peace mode?
  4. To expand on this, in addition to a large part of the NpO membership disliking the NPO, many of NpOs allies are on extremely bad terms with the NPO. So if NpO were to alliance with NPO, they would face ALLOT of internal resistance and be put in a very awkward position with current allies.
  5. While I doubt Karma would force NPO to ZI its own members, I think its entirely possible that if NPO were to say people are refusing to leave peace mode despite our direct orders, Karma would be willing to just keep those members on a ZI list.
  6. Is there anything else to talk about?
  7. I was once in the NPO and they were very strong about traitors/deserters being kicked out/ZIed. I have seen no reason to believe this policy has changed. In fact, most alliances do hold this policy. any Furthermore, if they have been legitamently ordered out of peace mode, then the emperor would have to authorize it and their primary policy of "the Emperor's word goes" would only be upheld if the order was followed. Note: I don't think many here honestly believe the government has made a serious effort to get nations out of peace mode. I see it mostly as calling their bluff. If they are going to claim they tried to get nations out, but those nations refused direct orders, then we will happily provide alternatives. Most likely, they have not made a serious effort to get nations out of peace mode.
  8. Yes and note how it is simple an alternative, an option. Typo is not suggesting Karma should force NPO to do this. All he is saying is that if NPO is having problems with nations refusing direct orders to get out of peace mode, they could alternatively work out a deal with Karma to ZI/expel them later(as is the policy for virtually every alliance with nations that refuse direct orders during war). Note how at the end of his post he even suggested another option, to simple expel these members. These are all options for the NPO, while they may not be very good options, nobody is suggesting NPO be forced to take these actions.
  9. NPOs own policies for people disobeying orders is to expel them. All Karma is asking is that if NPO members are truly refusing direct orders, the normal policies be followed up on. Unless you can provide a viable alternative for how to handle soldiers refusing to leave peace mode. I would love to hear it.
  10. I don't believe anyone is saying this be added to surrender terms. Everyone has just been saying that based on NPOs military alliance style, if members are really ignoring direct orders then they should be ZIed, not because of Karmas policies, but because of NPOs policies.
  11. 1) If you really did not care you would not have posted anything in response to it. The fact that you responded tells me you have some level of caring. 2)I am just giving you a piece of advice. If you ignore others just because they are not part of your group of "friends", your world will be smaller because of it.
  12. I think a (hilarious) part of the problem is the number of people who completely miss the satire and take this seriously.
  13. *Woosh* *Woosh* Both of you really need to reread the OP. It appears to have gone over your head.
  14. in my opinion, that is a very self centered attititude. Enjoy every moment with all you got. The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. Learn more about these alliances you are not directly connected to. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go.
  15. Who exactly? And allying yourself with someone is not equivalent to indifference. That would be aiding and abetting. Indifference would be staying uninvolved.
  16. How exactly? They are continuing to put harsh terms on alliances and are making no reperations for past harsh terms. Recognizing NPO is a threat that needs to be fought is not the same as realizing their wrong doing. I am not saying that anyone should force them to pay reparations for what happened, but that if FoK TRULY feels that what they had done is wrong, they would make reparations for it. Otherwise, its nothing more than talk.
  17. I think he raises a valid point though. If they have truly changed, why don't they make any attempt at restitution for the past wrongs they have commited?
  18. Individual peace will not be negotiated with ALLIANCES, individual peace WILL be negotiated with fronts though. Karma is not a legal entity in any manner, its just a collection of alliances fighting the NPO side.
  19. Unless he came back without my knowing, Dilber has been inactive/semi-inactive for quiet a while. So he cannot be that responsible for the current situation.
  20. If you read through the thread you will see most people think it WONT create any change in the alliance gov.
  21. People did not hate NPO for "high reps", they hated the NPO for the draconian overly harsh reps imposed on alliances who had not done anything wrong or had commited a very minor offense(see eternal war on FAN for a VERY minor peace term violation).
  22. Pre war I rarely saw this on the forums. Much of the posting consisted of "do something about it" and other antagonistic lines such as this when someone claimed they had commited a wrong action.
  23. Because he made the claim that NPO has security features embedded in the image to find out who the spies are. When you make a claim, you have the obligation of backing it up with evidence, otherwise the claim has no merit(not neccessarily true or false, but simply lacking any reason to believe its true).
