1. 9PM, somewhere in southern Almaty: "Thomas!" "Yes?" Thomas turns to see a breathless young man running to him. "Sir, it seems the government got a distress single out before we knocked out communications in the capital, we have reports of Cochin troops massing on the border. Orders?" "Order the rail lines cut and guarded, that should slow any Cochin advance across the border. I have plans of my own that should keep the government off balance. "Any word on our attack on Temüjin Station?" "Yes sir, we breached the security perimeter and took the Air Sector but they managed to reform their lines before we could take the Army Sector and Command and Control Center." "So they still hold the base?" Yes, sir, most of it. From the looks of it, they'll launch a counter attack soon, maybe within a few hours. I suspect they'll retake Air Sector. We're trying to get the assets we captured out now." "Thank you..." "Commander Peter, sir." "Dismissed." "Sir!" Comd. Peter gave a smart salute and quickly ran off to his next destination. Thomas then turned and walked over to his waiting car. Getting inside he taped the drivers shoulder, "Get me to staging area Charley." New Ulaanbaatar awaited.
2.
I'm pretty sure there is way too much happening in CNRP for one person to remember the entire thing. In fact I doubt the original RPers who started at the very beginning are even still here.
I am after more rerolls then I can count. These 1,000 he knew formed the most hardened, fanatical and loyal corp of the Christian Libration Army or CLA. They stood, dressed in flowing white robes sporting a large golden cross in front. Most were unarmed but a few wielded AK-47s and 74s. "Warriors of God, hear me! We are led by weak men, men who refuse to take back our homeland, men who fail to protect our culture and way of life and worse of all, men who worship gilded idles! Let us take the Mongol Federation for the 1 True God and then let us retake Mongolia!" The crowd burst into cheer but absent were guns being fired into the air, disciplined as they were, the few armed refused to waste ammo in trivial celebration. "From here we shall march! From here we shall drive out the the weak men who dare call themselves khans and rase the Holy Cross over the cities. Who is with me?" The crowd responds in unison, "We are!" "Then let us issue the call to arms! --- 5 hours later in New Ulaanbaatar: No 1 knew what was going on. At 1 moment the city was bustling, construction showing the Mongol Federation's rapid growth, the next the Great Mongol Temple and the Buddhist Temple of Peace, the largest Buddhist places of worship in the Mongol Federation, were being racked by explosions. As emergency personnel were dispatched to the temples, the New Ulaanbaatar Mosque suffered the same fate. Watching from the Federal Palace, Batukhan looked on open mouthed. Stuttering he turned to his advisers, "Wh- What is go- going on?! The city is on fire fire..." "Yes sir," replied an aid, "We're already receiving reports of similar attacks in progress across the country." Batukhan's face drained of color, "What?!" Another aid stepped forward, hanging up her cell phone, "We just received word that unknown forces have breached the security zone of Temüjin Station." "That's our largest military instillation!" Yes sir, I just got off the phone with Gen. Normally used to issue stock market reports to the world via radio he now took the headset and began speaking, "This is Khan Batukhan of the Mongol Federation, we are under attack. I repeat, we are under attack. Unknown forces have breached security at Temüjin Station, our largest military instillation and reports of smaller attacks, including here in the capital are being reported nationwide. We do knot yet know the origin or disposition of the enemy but it is clear we're are at a disadvantage. "In light of this initial and overwhelming attack, I herby issue a request for international peacekeepers to help our armed forces counter this attack." An explosion rocks the radio room and the lights flicker, "I repeat we are under attack, we request pea-..." Another explosion rocks the room, this time causing part of the ceiling to collapse. The power fails and the radio dies. Someone grabs Batukhan and after throwing a sack over his head roughly drags him away, "Who are you?!" "Quite!"
4. Batukhan smiled as the bell rang for the 1st time. The lobby of the Presidential Palace once finally completed and with it's completion, the fluctuating prices of the world's goods flowed across the displays, the fortunes of companies were made and lost and the investors of Mongolia gathered. It was a capitalist's heaven and a socialist's hell. It was the New Ulaanbaatar Stock Exchange or NUSE. OOC: I just got the Stock Market wonder.
5. Batukhan looked on in awe despite himself as his great place, no ziggurat he decided, as it rose ever higher. A 3rd of it's hight was completed and the palace grounds were landscaped with landscaping work on the 1st 2 terraces underway. He smiled as he thought of what he had just seen in the now completed Ground Lobby, it was even grander. A marbled floor stretching across the whole expanse, shining almost like a mirror. Great granite pillars, smoothed to perfection and painted a brilliant white. Spiral staircases to match. The walls made of mirrors which doubled as great display screes that could display everything from the most inspiring Mongol propaganda to an image of the outside, as clear as a window, thanks to a system of HD cameras placed along the palace wall. Batukhan turned and took in his city, even further along then the palace. Great boulevards crisscrossed the city, unpaved for the most part and the beginnings of skyscrapers could be seen across the skyline. Smaller roads and buildings were already completed and filled with the fervent activity and frantic noise of midday city life, a fine replacement for the shanty town that New Ulaanbaatar had been. Yes, it would be a fine city once completed.
OOC - I don't see the difference between the two, both preambles look like they follow the same guidelines of being peaceful until provoked and claiming Mongolia as a whole. Just one says it bluntly, and the other can be twisted as such.
Yes, option 1 will always be warlike/authoritarian and option 2 will always be peaceful, humanitarian and democratic. The result of this convention will decide the RP path my nation takes.

11. As foreign dignitaries and Mongols arrived, Batukhan looked on with a smile on his face. Today would be the day the Mongol Federation would take it's proper place in the world. OOC: I'll post 2 options per phase. If anyone else has a suggestion, feel free to post it and I'll add it to the poll if I like it. Phase I: Option 1 Preamble We, the people of the Mongol Federation, do hereby declare the Mongol Federation to be a federal republic. We hereby declare that the Mongol Federation shall be a nation of peaceful warriors. We herby declare that ALL Mongolia rightfully belongs to the Mongol Federation. Option 2 Preamble We hereby proclaim the Federal Republic of the Mongol Federation of Khanates in the name of the Mongols. We declare to the world that the Mongol Federation shall be a nation of peace 1st and war if needed. We declare that the Mongol Federation shall welcome all Mongols and all the desolate peoples of the world. To facilitate this, we present this document, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of the Mongol Federation of Khanates. Note: Option 2 requires an official name change.
12.
OOC: So your ruler doesn't contribute his wealth into the development of the country? Also, you could send that amount of money without problem; just value it with the same worth as Zimbabwe's currency. Hehe
OOC: Does Bill Gates (the 10th largest country [economically] if he were to be counted as such) contribute to the country? Yes but not to the point of funding major programs. Same applies here. He's rich and will invest (and has if you look at my RP, who do you think is paying for my new capital?) but he's not the guy funding the whole thing, that's what taxes are for. 13. Message from the Mongol Federation:
From: Batukhan, Khan of the Mongol Federation To: Napoleon, Emperor of the Canadian Empire I shall, from my personal wealth, send 100 tons of foodstuffs and 15 Million Mongol Roubles to aid in the Empires recovery. I understand that this is hardly sufficient but it is all I can afford to send. My condolences.
OOC: This is from my ruler's personal wealth (of billions, though I've yet to establish the amount in RP, at least 2 billion), so before anyone complains that I can't afford any of this, it's not my nation sending it.
14. Batukhan stood before his partly completed palace his image on every major news channel in the Mongol Federation, "Today, my people, is a glorious day and the dawn of a new age! Today I announce the creation of a constitutional convention! Up until now, I and my underlings have ruled as if kings but a republic is our intention and so a republic shall be declared. To facilitate this, you the people, as well as dignitaries form other major and local powers, shall be invited to the place behind me, who's lobby and reception hall has been completed, and together we shall hammer out our future." The khan then left and began walking to his place for the 1st time. He would still have to live in his ger, he knew but he wished to see what his new home looked like.
15. dreams of world domination and of said world's being rendered a nuclear wasteland by his own doing. He's evil like that.

16. Batukhan smiled as he read the headline, 'RAIL NETWORK COMPLETED'. At long last the Mongol Federation could join the ranks of internationally trading nations. He looked up from the paper to the economic experts that had been called in to advise him, "And we can expect a GDP increase in the millions over the next year?" The advisers nodded in the affirmative. "This is good news. I'd hate to be master of a poor nation You are dismissed but I feel I'll have need of you all, so do not leave the city."
17.
My claims. IG nation name will be the same for RP, Mongol Federation.
Just a reminder.
18. Batukhan walked along the city permitter, the foundation was laid and the city's wall was already begening to take shape. He turned and looked toward the center of the city and saw the hill that would become his palace also raising from the ground. Smiling he turned toward Chikan, "Our city will be a sight to behold will it not? How did the negotiations go?" Chikan bowed, "Indeed my lord. As for the treaty...", he handed over a document. "Good, good. You have served your nation and people well this day, Chikan" Batukhan then turned and began walking to his ger, the new treaty in hand.
19. Vary good, I'll have my aids draft a treaty for you and ask your people to do the same. We can negostate the difrences and I feel come to something both our peoples can be happy with.
20. Chikan bows as he returns, "I am to accept your terms. We'll have engineers waiting for your people, they'll take them to the various construction sites. We'll also be sending a Russian experienced in the operations of a railroad to see about linking our systems."
21. "We shall see." Chikan collects his papers and walks outside. Once alone he finds a tree and walks under it's shade. Looking around to ensure that no one was around, he takes out his cell phone and calls Batukhan for instructions.
22. "Ah, well that sounds acceptable then. "If you'll excuse me, I want ti call the Khan and give him my report."
23. "We have no intention of oppressing anyone, I assure you of that and would our inviting your forces not be a violation of our internal affairs? "As for your offers on trade, I agree. Free trade would more then acceptable and your offer of port use is most generous. I do have a question, can you tell me more of the National Railway Network? I have no knowledge of this, so please excuse my ignorance. I'll make certain to call for increased funding to our diplomatic Corps," Chikan chucked.
24.
"With regard to reconstruction aid, we can definitely help you with that. Your lands were not so long ago sovereign territories of the Kingdom which had then chosen to secede. Besides as a neighboring nation your prosperity is important to us. We can invest considerably in your economy, also various Cochin industries can establish their businesses in your nation. If you have any other suggestions for how we can help you, please do tell so. As regards military aid, before we commit ourselves we would like to know what threats you face as a nation."
"It's more a matter of security but if you need justification, you need only look to our north in Slavorussia which early reports received before I left seems to have descended into civil war. I doubt it'll spill over or even spread beyond the Empire's European holdings but the threat exists. We also have to worry about the Christians in our nation. They have long been less then moderate and after concentrating their population along our mutual border in the weeks leading up to the Mongol Federation's creation, we do fear an uprising if they sense weakness." OOC: Don't worry too much about that last part, just setting up a backstory for an RP I want to do once I've established myself. IC: "As for your previous point, I think the Khan would agree with the wisdom of allowing your businesses to set up within our borders. In fact, while we're on the subject, would you be open to some sort of trade agreement? Perhaps relaxed customs checks and tariffs for our exports in exchange for favorable tax brakes for your businesses and tourists? I bring up that last point as our countryside is 1 of the few lucrative assets we have at this early stage."
