Might drift around a bit in TE next round. Actually, that was not a forced recruitment. We were beating up on them and were winning but after a few ingame conversations getting past the war rhetoric, I found him to be pretty welcoming to learning the game better. So since "come at me bro" was only here as a lump on a log kind of thing and a few of us were getting bored, we decided to join him. He even offerred a couple of time for me to lead NAO after we joined but I really wasn't here for a really active round. Don't beat up on him on this thread or the war too much. He and most of his members a new. The rest of us are here because we are bored but didn't want to go to an alliance that actually would make us work. BTW, Sam. We're looking forward to a very destructive end of round. o7

If this was said earlier, please forgive me. Want to add that at the very low levels like 1000 NS and below, the nation declare range gets very difficult to declare on targets. The declare range is 75% to 133% of your current NS. At 1000 NS that’s a range of 750 – 1330 NS. That may not be too bad but if you get to 500 NS, the range is about 375 – 667, which is a tight range. This gets just worse as you go down. Plus, there seems to be plenty just sitting at 3NS or lower. This is one of the reasons why I suggested http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?/topic/115381-ultra-low-ns-level-fighting-ranges/. Another reason is that there seems to be “dedicated” tech sellers that are technically aiding the opponents and have to right to cut off the tech supply line. going a bit out of character. I believe you meant this in a sarcastic way but in a seriousness I do keep forgetting there are vast age differences sometimes. I started in the MHA and went to Fark and realized how much of an average age difference there was between the two alliances. I have to remember that most of the players are in the very young category. Perhaps Fark's radio silence comes partly out of this fact.

In fact, I love a war where I’m the underdog and have to work to do damage. What’s the fun in fighting a battle that you completely overpower your opponent? Are we here to fight and have fun or here to wait until Admin turns the game off and regretfully say “I missed my chance”? What’s with all this peace mode stuff? I direct that to both sides when nearly your entire alliance seems stuck in peace mode for the duration of the war whether in this war or others. I made a mistake because I was bored. Even worse, I convinced my brothers to follow me in. I said to Fark gov that I’d be willing and even happy to be given to GATO so they can attack me as a rogue. Shoot, I’d at least get some action and some fun out of a war game. But, I guess Fark gov felt that would not be the right thing to do out of loyalty. So, here I am. I say to you that I did this without gov permission whether gov wants to cover for me or not. I attacked GATO and convinced others to join. If GATO wants satisfaction, come get me. I do not want any Farkers to come defend me if GATO comes for me during this war. But know this GATO, I’d be very disappointed with you if you chicken out and hire out someone else to do your dirty work. It is your fight to enjoy.

I believe that the upper end war is becoming less relevant each day and the mid tier war is where the war is really heating up. Perhaps the discussion would be more relavent if we added the mid tiers as well.

So sad to see this degenerate like every other thread but this one had a good run. The trolls on both sides are just too powerful. Maybe we should make a coalition on non-troll players. ;)

Yes it is. How am I going to get my casualty number up? I say we war until everyone gets their casualty goals. Civil war if necessary.

If you add in the really far off guesses that have actual date on them, I'll add $3mil to the pool. If you look at the way this war is evolving, those far off dates are looking more likely every day. I still stand by my guess as a serious guess that there is going to be at least two alliances that will drag it out to the very end to see who can outlast the other.

Thanks for the answers to my prior question about what I now know is being called the "DMZ" As mentioned by many, let's keep this thread clean as possible from politics. It's my only oasis on the OWF. :)

One analysis I don't think I saw was what happens in a really prolonged war where the NS levels are split so that each side has an absolute advantage on a tier and we run into a gruelling "luke warm" war (was about to say cold war) in which tech deals can begin while wars are still fought in the middle between the upper mid tier and the lower high tier.
