  1. Any nation can do well with any base set of resources. If you have resources like mine it just means you'll have to spend some time paying to find trades. I 'bought' a trade circle that is the best I'll ever do. My base resources are gold + lead, and while many of my trade circle members could get better trades they choose not to because what they have is easier, it's still pretty good and I paid them when they were small and helped them grow. Personal relationships >> What is optimal, quite often. Also, at high NS levels most of your growth will be in the form of tech dealing; 18m a month is really nothing at high levels, no matter how bad your trade set might be.
  2. Okay. 5k tech likely would have some reasonable numbers, though, so that one definitely is worthwhile. Thanks!
  3. Hey Drai, would you consider adding 'alliances with the most 14k+ infra and 5k+ tech' categories? They're now the high end for wonders, and it might be interesting to see which alliances have folks basically just waiting for admin to introduce something new.
  4. Being trolled by Greenacres is perhaps the best compliment I think anyone could ever hope to get. It's perhaps the clearest indication of success one could find on the OWF. I am looking forward to the future, in which we shall import even more tech and up our aid slot usage even more.
  5. I've always had good results with GLoF tech sellers. I sent two offers today and may send a third soon. Are all the nations on this list looking for renewable deals? Because I greatly prefer to not have to find a new person all the time.
  6. Offer sent. Would you like this to be a renewable deal? I'm very precise on my buying times and if you're speedy as well this could be a mutually beneficial arrangement for many months to come.
  7. Seriously though, Metallic or Chromatic?
  8. OMFG, you folks are anything but ordinary. Shout out to Frosniper13!
  9. Are you themed to Chromatic dragons, or Metallic Dragons? Tiamat or Bahamut? Also, can Janax make more Citadel folks a sweet sig like his?
  10. I'm very happy to see these results. Closest election I've ever seen! Paradox Vult!
  11. HPNOTIQ is chick liquor. o/ Neutral menace o/ Tripping on Absinthe Good luck to you folks. I wonder if alcohol-themed announcements are going to get more common now.
  12. Do you plan on establishing relations with Gre in the future? How about Citadel as a whole? Are you planning on always staying as a high ANS alliance?
  13. I came to this topic to post that BBC article. Clearly it is a sign from Mom that you all are destined for great things. Congrats and good luck.
  14. My bad in missing the link to world sanctions on the main page.
  15. Would someone mind posting a screenshot of the sanctions list?
  16. I'm shocked that with the number of British folks here, we haven't had a single person note the quality of Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout and Oatmeal Stout. These are some of the finest beers in the world, definitely competitive with Germany. Magic Hat is a wonderful brewing company and has made me happy for years. But when I discovered Sam Smith, I was blown away.
  17. Karma does have one responsibility--to not try to dominate one another once this war ends. There may be flak between individual members of Karma, but such disagreements do not a war make.
  18. I really like this and hope you follow Logan's example and regularly update the first page.
  19. I can understand your frustration in that. I can assure you that wasn't always the case. When I volunteered to fight against an Echelon target, I made sure there was a non TOP/TSO nation hitting them before I attacked (napoleon blownapart of TTK, who was very willing to cooperate with my absurd attack times, which generally resulted in us sending daily defeat alerts). Despite the fact that he was the only one who was nuclear against our target, we were able to hit six times a day and strike home every time, plus post-nuclear air raids that were way more effective than usual. That's all I have to say in this topic.
  20. As soon as I saw the EU pip, I knew it would win the vote. It was just a matter of time. It's really amazing to see how far we've come. I look forward to the future.
