Just to echo some of the comments made by others earlier, it would be a courtesy to advise the reasons behind the hostilities. I really don't think it is asking too much.

I was going to do a journal entry for you but things just sort of ...well you know.
Special Log 23 - Carrot Cake Journal of W_A_RI have had a small respite from my training and Pagely duties with the Order of the Black Rose. As is often the case, I chose to go off on the well worn path of personal learning. I have found this route to be very rewarding and a far more productive than the path of asshattery or the path of annihilation. Why so many choose those paths is beyond me. Some have suggested it is the machinations of the trolls that live under many of the bridges of this world, subtly and not so subtly offering directions to the less wary and inexperienced travelers. This may well be true. A well seasoned traveler such as myself has learned to ignore the trolls and plan one’s travels in advance.
My original destination was to be a spa in the mountains of Zanidoo, a nation ruled by a fellow Page, Winslow. He had often mentioned the restorative qualities of the spa and I had decided not only to learn more of Zanidoo but get a little work done on restoring my physical (and some may say mental) wellbeing. Trust me when I say that the Order challenges its Pages in both respects. On my way I stopped for refreshment at a roadside inn. There were the usual collection of characters at the tavern; brigands, soldiers of fortune, a man of the cloth and merchants with their hired help.
Word had reached this isolated point that much of Digiterra was consumed in war once again. This was of no surprise to me as military conflict is a constant part of existence in this world some have come to call Planet Bob. I asked a coachman for more details and he mentioned that the Alliances known as The Browncoats and the Black Defense Council had become embroiled in an attempt to avoid being drawn into the major war. In doing so they had lost significant face with their allies and unwitting membership.
I of course knew of the BDC as my Order also wore Black. Of the Browncoats I knew of Schattenmann (formerly of Purge) and also N1ntenderek who I knew from my days in GOLD. He always came across as an earnest but harmless sort of a fellow. Rumours had it that both these gentlemen had been implicated in the ‘conspiracy’ and were under pressure from all quarters. N1ntenderek had been often in contact with me over the years, urging me to visit his nation. I wasn’t too keen to be honest. I had visions of his residence being filled with half eaten food and dirty plates, empty containers of cheap domestic ale and discarded unwashed clothing. I shuddered.
I weighed up my possible courses of action. Drop everything and visit Derekica and support N1ntenderek in his time of need …… or continue on my planned path to Zanidoo and its famed spa…. and the beautiful masseuses and fine food and wine and……
Special Log 24 – Zanidoo Spa
Well I’m here at Zanidoo Spa and you wouldn’t believe how soft these towels are! Nothing like the hessian we often use at the Order. Lovely. It is so relaxing here things can just slip from you mind. I can highly recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in need of a bit of respite from the cut and thrust of Digiterran politics. I must put my mind to letting people know …… later.

I'd like to think that Black is a gathering of old and good friends who enjoy nothing more than to swap yarns over a refresing tankard of ale or three and a filling of hearty beef stew and mash.

I'm curious.
Has there ever been a 'serious' nation vs. nation match up in defense of Alliance honour or a Champion vs. Champion duel with the winner determining the outcome of an Inter Alliance dispute?
An 'Alliance Champions Tournament' would be an interesting spectacle; Best of 3 rounds, judged by the Mods on a quantitative / qualitative methodology.

For those curious to know what happened to Stratus. Apart from yours truly counter-attacking his nation, he was engaged by two GOLD Nations (King Leroy of Hemiola and Rossi23 of Land of Rossi). Also, a relativley unknown LUE member called WarriorConcept of Warriors filled the third slot.
Stratus was sent to ZI and soon after his nation was deleted (as should be the fate of all nuclear rogues).

I look back at GOLD with fondness. Not just because it was my first Alliance, but because of the people that GOLD was comprise of. One doesn't need to look too hard to see a former GOLD member who has gone on to make a positive impact in the Cyberverse, some founding their own Alliance, others in senior positions in established ones. Think of those people collectively in one Alliance, enjoying fellowship and working hard not for one, but for all.
Yes Branimir, GOLD became a rambling, incoherent bag lady in her last days, but I'd like to remember her when she was a self-assured, vibrant and desirable woman looking to make her mark in the world. Age and misfortune can reach us all.
Branimir, enjoy your tennis tournament. I hope you have had the players sign waivers preventing you from being litigated for excessive and sustained bounce injury.

My apologies for the slip. As has been mentioned no doubt by many others before me, it can be challenging to reference certain things without a slight taint of the 'Real World'.
I appreciate the comments from those that have enjoyed the reports of the "spy codenamed Groucho". I had a lot of fun writing them.
For those aware of W_A_R's 'Carrot Cake Journals' , I have picked up the pencil again to scribe some more.

I think some folk fell off the 'on topic' wagon. I believe that there is a support group called 'moderation' for such people seeking to mend their reckless ways.
On topic - I find it difficult to believe that AO would ever be the cause of Black instability and wish them well.

I welcome the most recent Writ De Credo signatories, Alpha Omega, to the Black Sphere. Czar has already established an embassy with us at the Black Keep and is quaffing ale at the Rocking Rose Tavern. I expect that he will have a sore head in the morning.

I have escaped the palace grounds barely in possession of my life and delicate sense of aesthetics! I have discovered that Stratus's Weapon of Mass Destruction is prepped and ready to go. His nuke is ready as well.
I managed to get into the chamber where all the young people go. It was horrible! The man is pure evil in an Adam Sandler sort of a way. The things he subjected these poor young men and women to! Quite frankly, if Silent took a first strike option.... it couldn't happen soon enough.
He had those people ...***HEAVE!*** ..... Oh, crap.. it makes me sick just thinking about it. One day I may just be able to talk about it, but not now.
Suffice to say that once I saw what was going on I emptied the contents of my stomach ( mainly carrot cake and assorted pastries) all over the chamber and into the Leader's lap. Unfortunately his pet hampster was on his lap at the time. May it rest in peace.
Well he wasn't happy and I just started running...... thank goodness I was in the guard's boots. I evaded capture and vaulted the gate before hiding in this alley. I saw that young woman again too. She ran away. I guess I'll not get those pants back. I have been in contact with the safe house and will get transport back to GOLD HQ disguised as a terracotta donkey. At least I think that's what the safe house liaison said.

Sorry about that. Well I'm home and in one piece. It seems that all is not well and the people of Vijar are deeply saddened by recent turn of events in the Alliance. I have brought home presents from the nation of Stratus, you know those kitsch souvenir type things with 'Stratus' emblazoned all over them. I have distributed them out among the populace to cheer them up. I value their intelligence and contribution to the well-being of Vijar.
I also have my special T-Shirt with 'I saw Stratus's nuclear deterrent - Have you?' proudly printed across the chest in a cheery Gold Print. It would have been great if I could have got it personally autographed. It would be worth something soon; You know... after Stratus's death.
Well it is good to be back and to recuperate. I believe we have some new carrot farms being established to cater for increased demand in carrot cakes, and a deer sanctuary is being built in our major national park. SO I have plenty to do. Goodness it is great to be back in my everyday rubberwear. Far more comfortable.

I look forward to the leader of Andromeda to respond to the allegations made. I hope he has the ability to refute them. Nevertheless, the reason for the war against AHEAD, NEAT and others is flimsy at best.
It is not unusual for a leader to react in a hostile manner to someone, who, by seeking to remedy something, continues to remind the leader of a poor decision he or she made by the mere presence of the person wanting to get an outcome. It can often lead to an unwillingness to compromise or apologise. Often their reaction compounds and worsens the situation.
I sincerely hope that the leader of Andromeda is going to prove himself to be of a finer cut than what can normally be expected.
