I'll echo other posters in this thread and say that FAN is somewhat of a rarity. Regardless, yes they could, but if they choose to accept the terms rather than fight on/be stuck in peace mode for an indefinite period of time and hope they're still functioning at the end of it, it's not their fault. The victor is still responsible for the terms they are offering.

The answers don't really fit the question. Obviously no one can be "forced" to do anything, but the victors are still responsible for offering harsh terms in the first place.

I don't really care what the justification was.

When the Karma coalition has splintered post war? I don't know, I'm just saying the only way to prove they've changed isn't another war. And frankly I'm not sure how a second war would prove they aren't the same as they always were anyway.

Or maybe they could prove it by not going right back to the way they were before as soon as they are in a position to do so.
