"So, Somalia is still a colony but it is a colony under another name? It is sad that we work hard to cleanse Africa of foreign imperialist presence but we are fooled by a simple name change. Since Carthage has no link to this allegedly new government, we will strip diplomatic recognition of it and enter a state of hostility. We will not be fooled by wordplay."

We are saddened to hear you don't know the difference between a colony and a self governing unincorporated territory. We will not tolerate this hostile statement after all we have done for your nation in the past (Like sending an expeditionary force to defend your Capital, and giving home to your government members who fled from nuclear fallouts).

This time we permanently expell the Carthaginian diplomatic staff from Rome, they will be escorted to the airport in the evening. We also recall back our staff from Carthage. Apologies will hardly fix our relations anytime soon.

We echo this sentiment. Our intelligence suggests that this is just a ploy to create a new satellite nation in which we will not tolerate. You have two options: remove Italian presence from the region, or our forces will escort them out themselves.

"The difference is only in the name. Italy will not be allowed to hold their sending of a small, unused expeditionary force over our heads to influence our foreign policy. We looked the other way in Italy for far too long but we will not look the other way in Africa. Carthaginian diplomatic staff in Rome have been recalled and your staff has been expelled. They can escort themselves out."

"You expel diplomats for voicing their disdain of your 'free-governing' state. We seriously doubt how free this state is from Italian rule considering that Junio Borghese remains the head of state of this 'free-governing' land. I understand already that the Italian government in Mogadishu and in Rome already has offices filled with counter arguments for this, you seem to do so with everything saying how perfect your government is. Saying how you have zero unemployment, that one made us laugh and if you want to prove that to anyone, we'd like the necessary facts and figures to dispute the inherent lies of the Italian government. Australia could careless about these recent crusades of colonialism and anti-fascism. But to attempt to weasel your way out of getting your colony taken off of you by changing the name. Truly incredible. I also enjoyed your petition to your best friends about Italian colonialism. If you want to get the truth, I would suggest asking a few other countries that aren't influenced at all by the Italian smile."

P.S. Since we're in the neighborhood...boo...keep your children inside, lest Sarah Tintagyl and myself feed upon the happy children of Europe. You know the whole taking them out of their beds at night, etc, etc, etc.

We don't care about the opinion of people who were illitterate when we in Rome had Ceasar, Virgilius and Augustus. We understand this complex political system is too complicated for your minds, but we had laws and regulations and public administration when you had nothing but tribalism. We know what do to and how to do it.

Carthage illiterate? Who won the Mercenary War in 240 BC? Perhaps it is you, the Italians, who are ignorant of world history.

Carthage illiterate? Who won the Mercenary War in 240 BC?

I'm talking about Australia, and bringing up 2000 years old wars is both childish and pretty irrelevant to the issue considering Carthage has been controlled by Romans for almost 1000 years, but despite the fact Africa was a Roman province for a very long ime, we never ever tought about reclaiming those lands in relation to that, we are the men of 2009 and we think with the mind of evolved men of the XXI° century, not with the mind of prehistorical men like some people tend to do nowdays.

And yet you pull the same stunt with claiming Roman superiority over the Australians. Your argument flounders.

"Is that why you kiss-$@! to the Germans? Cause you gave them literacy? Please for the Germans and Austrians reading this. We mean no offense, promise. Continuing, how about instead of insulting us, try to explain this glorious political system that you have in THE PRESENT TIME. Instead of focusing on your past, unless of course, all you have is the past. So please, tell us Australian barbarians how glorious Italy, the nexus of civilization, runs its colonial territories...oh wait...their 'free-governing states'."

"So be it. Carthage will not allow this to go on!"

As soon as these words were broadcast to Italy, a fraction of the transportation fleet of the Carthaginian Air Force lifted off of Socotra. Traveling under heavy escort by a dozen F-46 and F-45A squadrons, the planes carrying 3,000 men and 12 tanks were flown south to Italian Somalia (not Italica). A small fleet of three amphibious expeditionary ships each carrying 14 tanks and 200 soldiers, escorted by two anti-submarine frigates, were also launched. As soon as the border with Italica ended and Italian Somalia began, the airdrops would do the same. Three thousand men, all dropped outside of the AA defenses in Mogadishu, were paradropped down into the western part of the colony.

Private to Carthage

We have 20,000 marines en route to landing on the beaches. Heads up. That also includes an additional 10,000 being airdropped from the north and west.

Private-ish

All amphibious forces have begun landing on the beaches and paratroopers are beginning to land inland in the western-most border.

FB-22 Air Squadron 338 has been deployed to precision air strike key communication depots located by the Ateras Satellite. BattleNETUP has been deployed to be utilized for operations for effective coordination of forces within the region. All local destroyers have prepared rail gun systems to dismantle shoreline defensive positions should there be any deployed.

OOC: Bosaso? When did any Carthaginian Air Force reach anywhere near Bosaso? Within the 50 NM EEZ you would be shot down. Edit it, Sargun, or your planes get attacked.

MOGADISCIO - 1726 HOURS - Weather 39C° CLEAN

Classified

Mogadiscio is a small town with 7000 inhbabitants, mostly civilians, and is defended by roughly 500 members of the State Police, an additional 500 men, 50 Ariete Main Battle Tanks strong armoured brigade of the Italian Army and a 5 F-22 raptors strong squadron of the Italian Airforce. The city is also covered by an hidden radar station with a range of 200kms, at this point, enemy aircrafts are spotted and the airforce is immediatly put on alert.

/Classified

radaro.jpg

Anti raid sirens are activated and megaphones urge the civilian population to reach the Transvaaler enclave and evacuate the Italian district. With an heroic decision, Colonel Siad barre decides to stay in the City and command the defense while the civilian population is being evacuated to the safe zone, redenominated "Boer Zone".

Dramatic scenes will be witnessed by the Transvaler personnel in the Italian district of the city. People are running in chaos, children are crying, women are screaming and men are trying to move their families to the boer zone. Suddenly, powerful search lights light up the sky in order to jam heat seeking radars and devices that would notice large circles to cover the majority of the city center and its suburbs.

Meanwhile, all 5 F-22 raptors take off from Junio Borghese airport in Mogadiscio. The squadron split up after 10 kilometers, 2 are heading North, and 3 are heading West. Their task is to approach and destroy enemy transport aircrafts before they could reach the western side of the city, they have enough time before

As soon as the Mechodamian aicrafts, not provided with a fighters escort, will be in a 40kms range, the two Squadrons will fire Aspide Mk.2 missiles with active radar-homing seeker against the undefended targets, in an attempt to slow down the attack from West, before Carthaginian aircrafts (coming from East, if they are coming from Italica), while the land forces will concentrate in the defense of the city from all sides with a particular concentration of forces in the south.

MECHODAMIAN AIRSTRIKE HITS CLINIC AND BANK, KILLS DOZENS. JUNIO BORGHESE "WAR CRIMINALS", OPINIONISTS "UNCIVILIZED MONSTERS"

MOGADISCIO - Dozens of people died after the strike, which hit the Clinic the headquarter of the National Bank of Italian Somalia, where a long queue of people was still waiting to withdraw their savings and evacuate the city. At the moment of the strike, the Clinic was being evacuated. It was the only medical service building in the region with a pediatric division. According to Medical Service sources, 26 childre are still trapped under the ruins while dozens of bodies are still on the streets.

**Completely uncensored, Italian televisions broadcast pictures of bodies of somali civilians, including children, women and ederlies, lying on the streets.

A spokesperson of the Somalian Government spoke on radio few minutes after the attack "Few minutes ago an aircraft carried out an attack against our communication center. Unfortunately, due to the location of the building, in the center of Mogadiscio, the weapon went astray and hit the Clinic and the Bank,".

The military confirmed an attack is taking place. It's the first time Italian Somalia is hit by a bomb since the arrival of the Colonial Government. The news has been met with shock and disgusted the public opinion in Italy, where opinionists and analysts immediatly depicted Carthaginians and Mechodamians as uncivilized barbarian monsters.

"The streets were full of civilians who were evacuating the city when the bomb hit the RAI Television center" a correspondent who visited the place immediatly afterwards, says the emergency services are digging non stop, dozens of people are still trapped under the ruins. Local officials also say 60 have been injured. The attack hit crowded streets, as people were trying to reach the Boer zone.

With the successful paradropping of the soldiers into Somalia, a new strategy was ordered. The coastal troops, numbering 900 soldiers and 42 tanks, were brought ashore with no resistance just to the north of Mogadishu. The 3000 soldiers and 22 tanks dropped into the western part of the colony were to fan out and secure the western part of the colony. Civilians were not to be harmed under penalty of death.

The coastal troops, however, had a different plan: a direct assault on Mogadishu. Using satellite information, two squadrons of F-46 fighters broke off from escorting the transportation planes back to Socotra and were put on a route to intercept and destroy the F-22 Raptors. Another two squadrons were to patrol over Mogadishu and, using laser-guided and relatively small-powered bombs, eliminate any armour in the city. Two tanks were being outfitted with MLRS systems.

Coastal troops will hardly land north of Somalia unless they find a way to dig a sea since the Indian Ocean is south of the country and there is no water north of Mogadiscio, only sand and hills. So far, nobody is coming from north, and the partroopers coming from west will hardly reach Mogadiscio on foot before the next month

F-46 fighters will not be able to reach the Italian F-22 raptors in time due to the fact they were dispatched against Mechodamians aicraft a long time before. They will, however, encounter the aicraft while returning to the airbase. Since the radar station is still undisclosed, pilots have been alerted by the commander center of incoming hostile targets.

CARTHAGINIAN AIRSTRIKE HITS CIVILIAN BUILDING, 24 DEAD. HUMAN RIGHTS GROUPS "THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY GIVES NO CREDIT TO SOMALI DEAD"

MOGADISCIO: A Carthaginian jet dropped bombs on two Ariete Main Battle tanks moving south in Mogadiscio few minutes ago, killing 8 crew members and 16 civilians.

"We were packing our stuff... when the attack happened. I counted 16 bodies on the ground... the missile went trought the house and hit the tank.. many people were on the streets, trying to escape toward the boer zone.. among them children," a crying woman told our correspondent in Mogadiscion, dozens were wounded by the deflagration.

The number of civilians killed in operations by Mechodamian and Carthaginian forces has steadily climbed, reaching almost two hundreds, in few hours, according to Somali emergency service.
