Announcing the Inter-Asia Rail Project

Nations all over Asia celebrate as the groundbreaking commences on the single biggest multinational endeavor in the world. A new railway is being laid all across Asia, linking the nations of Acca Dacca, Taiwan, Palintine, the Southern Tang Empire, the Kingdom of Cochin, Zargathia, Kivortistan, SST, and Michuraza. This railway, a joint project between the above nations, represents a high point in peace-attaining deals. As a symbol of international cooperation, it is powerful. But this railroad is economically useful as well. To promote a spirit of free or reduced tariff trade, this railroad will facilitate trade all across Eastern Asia. Below is a list of all the stations, and the nations that they are listed in:

With 38 stations, cargo and travelers can conveniently traverse to all parts of the nations in the joint program. Funding is quite simple, as every nation will pay to lay the tracks inside its own borders. Smaller nations or nations experiencing financial aid may apply for subsidy from the government of the Southern Tang, but funds are limited and will be considered on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Groundbreaking will commence immediately, and track laying, done radiating outwards from each location, will be expected to be complete within two years.

To show the participating nations' concern for the environment, many eco-friendly measures have been taken to ensure minimal impact to the local ecosystem. For example, rails planned in Acca Dacca straddles the main rivers of the Mekong and the Red River, as to prevent damage to the jungles of IndoChina.

The Kingdom of Cochin announces the commencement of the laying down of the railway lines in the Lhasa-Kunming, Olgii-Kivortistan and those in the Cochin Mongolian Protectorate. The rest of the network as envisaged for the Inter Asia Rail Project is already existing.

The Kingdom of Cochin would not object to Dragonisian connectivity through Cochin soil, but it could only be followed through after a reassuring treaty between our two nations. We do not think it wise to resume railway connectivity with a nation with which we are at present at less than cordial relations. If Dragonisia is willing to come to a diplomatic meeting to discuss various issues of mutual interests to a successful conclusion Cochin would cooperate in extending Inter-Asia Rail Project connectivity to Dragonisia.

Buryatia wishes all participating nations success in the implementation of this project. At this point the government of Buryatia will not participate in the project, however we will not rule out participation at a later date, or the possibility of connecting the proposed rails to the south east branch of the Buryatian High Speed Rail Network (BHSRN)

"Well, the government with which most of the disappointment in your state lies is no longer in power. Nevertheless, the feelings of the people are still raw after such a rough departing of ways, all the same.. there was no war, no death of our people on our soil.. we're willing to talk to Cochin about this rail effort and start rebuilding the relationship, but I doubt we can ever trust the Kingdom as much as we once had. All the same, you don't have to be family to be business partners.." Noted the current representative of the Dragonisian national legislature.. who was so bland in character and behavior that he fit the faceless blue suit descriptor quite well.

The rights of way for all three fresh railway lines have been secured and are being cleared now. Contracts have been placed with L&T for Cochin Mongolian Protectorate line, with TP Blagopalan Associates for Olgii-Kivortistan line and Junker Corporation for the Lhasa- Kunming line. The sections of the lines shall be split into 30 km sections demarcated by Ministry of Transportation engineers who are currently obtaining the right of way. Each sector would be built by individual work gangs so that through rapid parallel construction the work could be completed in the fastest possible way. After the surveying is completed a month's time would be given to the contractors to prepare the necessary materials for the construction and propose necessary changes for technical reasons. After the one month mark, the construction companies can start their work at leisure, but have to finish laying of their entire stretch of rails and support infrastructure in six months.

Any contractor doing the work ahead of time would be amply awarded and hefty fines would be levied for unreasonable delays. The cost of construction would be decided by Ministry of Transport and individual contractors during the one month planning period and 40% advance would be fully paid.

The construction of the tracks within our lands shall be created, starting with the red river route. We thank the Asian international community for being able to cooperate with one another to achieve such a great road. We hope that more joint projects can be complete for the benefit of us and the betterment of the Asian community.

The prefabrication of materials for the railway lines are being manufactured by the contractors, who having submitted the proposed changes and final route of the track received advance payment of 40% of contract amount on validation of plans by the Ministry of Transport. Infrastructural support systems for the massive construction efforts for the network is being readied before commencement of actual railway laying.

The Kingdom of Cochin also announces that subsidized commercial loans would be provided for those nations that need financial support for the execution of the rail project.

Michuraza fears that Cochin is trying to become a very powerful lead within the railroads by putting allot of donation towards the tracks and stations within the railway system, Michuraza also fear's that Cochin is trying to wipe out any competition on how many railroads that a nation can control so it except for the Tang Empire would be the only super power in the railway system.

"We do not understand why our offer for finance should be considered threatening to any one! It was merely a helpful gesture. What we offer is a pure commercial loan which would encur mortgage only in the event of non repayment of the loan. Is it a fault that Cochin is prosperous as well as generous?"

The Kingdom of Cochin suggests that a comprehensive framework of guidelines be established to avoid any potential misunderstandings and tensions in the future regarding international transit through three or more nations.

We propose that Cochin and Caucasia jointly work on the Yekaterinburg-Astana line, to speed up construction.

The Kingdom of Cochin was planning to perform our railway extension only until Cochin frontier with Caucasia, would you like to assist you in extending it beyond into Caucasian territory? That could be possible. That work is to be executed by Ministry of Transport itself.

The Kingdom of Cochin assigns the Bishkek-Samarkand line through the RA/Cochin Protectorate to the Quarter Master Command to execute. Extension of the line beyond Samarkand would require Rebel Army's cooperation as it is in Rebel Army Protectorate.

"As there is a large distance of land between Yekaterinburg and Astana, the rail would be operational much faster if Caucasians and Cochin workers assist one another on the entire thing. Food will be provided for your workers."
