Plans for satellites to be launched never went through, and a plane from the Malvinas never arrived. Reports of unrest recently were dismissed by the Council as rabble from old Aotearoan supporters. While trials never went on for the majority of the old government and military (they all claimed to be under the influence of mind-altering drugs, it was impossible to tell the truth from lies), they have always been held with a stigma over their head. In recent days, police have uncovered several arms smuggling rings but evidence pointed to a much larger scheme. While the government was caught up in the Malvinas espionage scandal, it appears that the lack of a full Council brought several decisions to a standstill. Power failures, technological setbacks and general confusion gripped New Zealand last night, as print communication and radio waves are the only -- ...Ladies and gentleman, it appears that national television satellites are working again. We'll be transferring from radio to television in a moment. Stay tuned. ---- There are several important announcements made today, unfortunately we're unable to display anything more than what we already have. We're working on a way to play video, so we'll just have to do with this. Rumors of arms smuggling and drug rings uncovered have finally blown into truth. It appears that a full scale war is going on in Ruatoria province. Police and militia have been reported to be engaged in firefights across several cities, and there are even unconfirmed reports of the old transportation systems put in place by Aotearoa being hijacked, effectively leaving many citizens stuck in high towers. Instability all around and to one of our newest neighbors." She sighed and rubbed her eyes. "The said a full scale war?" "Aye, milady." "Dammit. Well send a message to their Council. Tell them that if the New Zealand army requires additional reinforcements, we can provide soldiers to help stabilize Ruatoria." "Of course Lady Sarah." Said the Chamberlain as he readied to leave. "Oh, Jess, one more thing to include in the letter." "Yes Milady?" "Tell them that if needed, I can come myself along with the peacekeepers to talk to their government, if the rumors are as deep as they said they are. There could be off shoots in Hanseatic Australia. I don't want this to become a bug that we can't crush." Jess bowed. "Yes, Madame." The door closed and Sarah fingered the tip of the glass. Destruction and several deaths have begun to erupt in the major cities and town surrounding them. Armored personel lead by Andy Locawitz, leading militaristic figure on the island, began to sweep the nation from North to South. 20 blocks into the city of Poum, a mob gathers and charges the row of vehicles and militia. From the mob, shots, explosions and shouting is hear. Standing on the back of the Toyota 4Runner pickup, Andy calls for his row of people to halt and take aim. "THIS IS A CIVIL WAR AND THEY DO NOT SUPPORT OUR QUEEN. IF THEY FIRE, WE FIRE!" Andy pumped his shot gun. Took aim, and prepared for the worst. They set up formation, trucks behind for support. Molakia will commit ANY force, supplies or capital to make sure Imperial Wellington does not rise again. At night, the streets were plagued with cop cars and militia ready to take on the worst. The night after the official curfew, police reported to possible homicide. After finding the body, they got closer for inspection, at that time the "possible" dead man stood up, and shot both police officers. Militia shot at him. The block erupted into a panic and a riot. The ability to decifer was not possible. People were running away and others were charging. Cars were tipped and set on fire. People were trampled on. Night turned into day and the city was becoming a lawless area. In an attempt to bring this "civil war" to an uneasy, but quick ending, The Brotherhood sent in the army. The move gave legitimacy to the movement and seemed to confirm what many New Zealanders feared: that the extremist ex-Aotearoan supporters have officially rebelled. For the past year, New Zealand has struggled implementing sweeping reforms due to what many considered rigged votes across several counties. Arms manufacturer Artemis Global Services has been successful in creating a small military for New Zealand, but it would take an entire two years before the military could be entirely replaced. Unfortunately, the extremists were capable of utilizing flawed Aotearoan technology to good use: numbers. New Zealand is still mostly cut off from the outside world, with no navy and an air force only recently built. F-46 planes, top of the line planes built in conjunction with a Dragon Empire state, have been controlling the skies while information is being gathered on the rebellions. If need be, we can land forces in the rebel controlled areas, but we will not do so until the New Zealand Government asks other nations to intervene. The act of parliament has allowed for full military assistance in areas that need to be taken once more. Parliment would also like to reiterate that any supporter against the state of Acca Dacca that has acted as a citizen of Acca Dacca up until this time shall be either shot if aggravating(shooting or throwing objects at soldiers) or will be put into custody and serve thier sentence under the title of treason/terrorist. Send a message to the Commonwealth stating that if they fear spillover, we can deploy up to 20,000 troops fairly quickly to any point they wish."
