Madame Unicorn Posted March 26, 2009 Report Share Posted March 26, 2009 A new nation rises up out of the un-inhabited side of New Guinea, A nation based on the principles of Marx's Communist Manifesto, A new utopia for all Communists to gather. This place, is Annihilation. The government are strong, but fair, allowing all of Annihilation's citizens the same rights and freedoms for everyone. A new nation which wants to build up strong partnerships with its neighbours and allies. A nation which promises to cooperate with all officials and diplomats, whatever the case may be. Roger McAlpine, the Hanseatic Minister of the Interior opened the door to Sarah's office slowly holding a piece of white paper in his hand, covered both sides in small black print. "Milady?" "Yes?" She looked up. "Oh Roger, what is it? What do you have there?" "Its a report from General Kolm about our holdings in New Guinea. Apparently there wasn't a full absence of government on the island after all." He walked over and laid the report on her desk. Sarah shifted nervously in her seat as she read the report and looked back up at McAlpine with a smile. "Kolm is taking this out of context, I doubt that these people want anything to do, hostile-wise with our claims in New Guinea. On the contrary." She said lifting herself out of the chair. "I think it would be a good idea to offer these people trade relations as quickly as possible. If they are going to be our neighbors after all, the most important thing we can do is live with allies one all sides." "But milady. Communism? We've seen Communist revolutions breaking out all over the world, what are the chances that it could spead into our borders." Sarah laughed as she took out paper and a pen to begin a response to the Annihilations. "Roger, we're allies with Canada and we have a Communist Party in the country to begin with...well socialist at least. I wouldn't worry, first of all they don't seem hostile and anyone that is trying to form a utopia isn't that far away from the goals that I've been trying to inspire in our own country with humanistic thought." Looking up she flung her hands toward the door. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do." "Of course Lady Sarah." To the Head of State of the Annihilations I know that I am not the first to be able to welcome you to the world stage, but perhaps I can be the first to offer my hand in friendship to you and your people as a whole. My name is Sarah Tintagyl, I am the Lady Protector of the Hanseatic Commonwealth that lies on your eastern border. Since the Hansa's creation a few years ago, I have maintained a foreign policy of friendship and humanitarianism and I am hoping that your country believes in the same goals. Because of this I would like to perhaps arrange a meeting between Your Excellency and myself to talk about the futures of the Hansa and Annihilation working together to create a stronger, more united Australasia. The world you have entered into is one full of strive, war, and decay. But perhaps we can lend the world to create one of peace, love and prosperity. I wish you eternal peace and hope that your country will continue to thrive in the coming months and years. We welcome the NATION of Annihilation into the Pacific.. yes.. the NATION of Annihilation, and recognize their sovereignty.." Doesn't matter much ] IC: A knock at the door, before the newly appointed Foreign Affairs Advisor, Mr Alan Davids, steps in. "Madame, we've had some response from our neighbours, and all seems to be going well," He steps into the centre of the room with an official looking letter, "I was sent a letter from our closest neighbour, the Hanseatic League. You may want to look at this, Madame. The Head Of State wants to arrange a meeting. My advice? Would be to accept it.” The Madame stood up and moved around the piles of boxes and furniture, reaching out for the letter, and reading it with a smile on her face. “Well, Alan. It seems we have made a friend,” She smiles, “And now I must write a letter back. Excuse me, please.” Dear Sarah Tintagyl, Lady Protector of the Hanseatic Commonwealth, Thank you for your kind words and welcome onto the world stage. I would like to accept your offer of friendship, as our two countries are sharing the same island, which I thank you, for letting us inhabit this wonderful place. I can only assume you have some reservations about my country being communist, however you have nothing to fear, for we are a peace loving nation, and will do nothing to harm you and your citizens in any way, shape or form. I would love to accept your offer of a meeting, as I believe we can work together to create a better tomorrow for our citizens, and for Australasia as a whole. I do hope the Hanseatic Commonwealth and Annihilation can become the best of friends and the best of neighbours.
