  1. Zhanna smiled at Thomas and the Doctor, "I'll still be here when you get back, so take your time."
  2. Zhanna woke up to find Tom strangling the main surgeon. She sighed, rubbed her eyes and looked at the pair, the doctor clearly struggling for life. "Thomas, let him go. He'll be here to do his post op check up on me. Jesus, you're so defensive all the time! Mind you, I can see why, the love of your life nearly dying and all..."
  3. Zhanna looked at Tom as he fell asleep, the lines of time creeping slowly over his face. They were not the strong young couple that could take on anything, anymore. They had responsibilities, and issues to deal with.. With a country to run. Revolution was hard, no matter what the state that the nation is in. Zhanna fell into her own slumber, feeling that everything was going to get worse before it could get better.
  4. Pulling Thomas up onto the bed that was three times too big for her, Zhanna wrapped her arms around her Husband and laid down beside him, comfortable in his arms. "Tom, I'm feeling okay, never better. No complications at all. But then again, we should wait until the doctors do their rounds. I feel awesome. We'll do this when you feel ready. And when I'm out of this hospital."
  5. Zhanna ran her hand over her Husband's head. She could see that the country was in turmoil. But what were they to do? "Thomas, it's not a question of I, but we. The people see me as a public figure and one of the leaders of their country, as well as you. We need to work something out. Together." Zhanna lifted Thomas's head up and kissed his lips gently. "We may need to make sure that the Australians can help us should the panic increase any further. Also, we should call upon the military to maintain the civil unrest and try to build up the economy again. That's all I can really think of at the moment. But I will help you. And we'll do this, together."
  6. Zhanna's face changed as soon as she saw Thomas. All the worry, anger, fear and negativity that she felt over the instability of the country melted away when she saw his reaction. She smiled timidly and looked intently at him. "A heart attack nearly every three minutes since yesterday? That's not like you Thomas. If it's got something to do with me then.. Well in all of the six years that we've been together I haven't seen you get emotional, like this. What happened to me, and I don't know the full story; Must have really scared you." Zhanna sighed and took Thomas's hand, gripping it hard. "But we're here now. I'm apparently healthy, you seem to look okay. Everything will be fine. But please tell me what's going on."
  7. As soon as Zhanna fell asleep she seemed to fall into a deep slumber. Whether it was from the Morphine, or the fact that she knew that she was in safe hands, she did not know. Either way, it was good to feel like this after having many a sleepless night for so long. Slowly, after what seemed like an eternity, Zhanna stretched and half opened her eyes, groaning, "Michael.." Zhanna blinked and opened her eyes fully, fixating them on a point in the ceiling, before looking around the room. Letting her eyes fall on the door, the white fixtures, and her Husband. Zhanna smiled and let her eyes fall upon Thomas's chiselled body, his slicked dark hair. Coughing, she sat up and held out her hand for Thomas to hold. "Missed me honey?"
  8. Zhanna sighed. "I know, He's always been paranoid like that. But you're here, and I do quite like talking to you. Besides, I hate being alone. And yes, I know I'll be in observation. It's not like I can go anywhere else now, can I?" She wiped the tear back and smiled. "This is only a minor setback, I'm sure we'll be fine," Zhanna looked at Michael, "But if you dont mind I'm going back to sleep..."
  9. Zhanna smiled. She thought about her husband and missed him already. But she knew that as soon as their eyes met they would fall in love again. It's how things always happened. "Mmm, Morphine.. No wonder I feel so good! But you say I was shot? I wonder why. Still, it's not like I can remember anything." Zhanna fell quiet and looked away from Michael. "When do I get to get out of here.. You know I hate hospitals.. I'm more of a believer of getting better on the job, like we'd do in the old days..." She gently grabbed Michael's hand and looked at him with big lucid eyes, "Can you tell Thomas that I've woken up please? I miss him.." A single tear ran down her face.
  10. Opening her eyes gently, Zhanna looked around slowly. All she could see around her was white. White sheets, white walls. Where was she? Looking over to her left, Zhanna groaned as she lifted her hand gently. ?" "Well, fancy seeing you here. Now could you tell me why I'm in here? And where is my Husband!?"
  11. "Annihilation sees no problem with this definition of colonialism."
  12. Constance read over the second article and nodded in Ava's general direction. "Yeah, I like that. Short and sweet."
  13. Constance looked around the room at all of the various leaders and diplomats. She was not used to this kind of meeting, and it scared her a little to see so many of the asian/oceanic leaders around one table. She sighed, and cleared her throat. "Annihilation has no problems with the text so far."
  14. Constance was the first to speak out of the remaining group. "Thank you for your words and strong sentiments, but Takeo talks of an Asian this and that. I believe that Oceanic nations, such as Annihilation, want to be grouped in with Asian countries. I do support an idea of a bloc, and I do believe that we all need to work together." Constance cleared her throat, "But we should not be working towards something that will only benefit a few countries. We should be working towards a treaty or bloc that will benefit all countries in this region, and will represent all countries, not just countries in the vicinity of the North Pacific Ocean!" Constance stood up and looked around the room, apart from Haruhi and maybe Hannah, she was one of the youngest females there. "Let us work together, pool all our resources to create a bloc that will be of use to ALL of these countries represented here. Oceania and Asia."
  15. Michael Williams stood up, carrying a bottle of Scotch and a wreath covered in a large assortment of flowers and leaves. He lays the items down against all the other tributes, and bows his head silently, silently praying to a unknown God to protect the Generalissimo. "Please watch over this respected and liked man, and may you have mercy on his soul.." Michael straightened his back, and walked over to the microphone, smiling before the gathered audience. "A tragic day has descended on this world.. We must come together as one, no matter what disputes lie between us, and honour such a courageous, and yes, crazy man. My heart, and I'm sure a lot of yours, goes out to Liska, and Procincta, for the loss of their leader." Michael steps down and walks calmly back to his seat. There is nothing else that needs to be said.
  16. Constance Philips arrived in Bangkok on the Government jet, before she was escorted to the conference room to begin discussions.
  17. Constance looked out over the strait as the plane turned into the Taiwanese airspace. All she could see was blue water, sparkling like a thousand diamonds in the bright Australasian sun. The neatly wrapped package that was sitting in front of Constance on the table shifted position slightly, indicating that it was time to descend into Taiwan. Constance walked over to the mirror and looked herself over, making sure every detail was perfect for the emperor. Time to make my first foreign meeting a good one.. Constance smiled and brushed her peroxide blonde hair back. It was time for the games to begin. --- After what seemed like an eternity, Constance stepped off the jet and onto the Taiwanese soil. The package that was on the table was safely stowed under her arm as Constance was whisked away to the Palace. After entering the palace grounds, Constance walked confidently up towards the main building, waiting for the Emperor as her hands were clasped around the package. 'Welcome to my glorious nation of Taiwan, Ms. Philips. I am Emperor Nebu as you know, how about we sit and get this started?' Constance smiled, "thank you so much for allowing me into your glorious country. My leader, Michael sends his warmest regards, along with this package for you." When Nebu opened the package, he would find two of the best wines Annihilation had to offer, a Sauvignon Blanc and a Pinot Gris.
  18. Constance slams her fists down on the desk and drafts up a message to all those involved. "Yes, we support this invasion, we condone it, but we will not invade Finland unless it is absolutely needed. We know we are in Asia, but feel that the current interest in this... situation is teetering on a thin line between simple conflict and all out War."
  19. "We have heard of this Molakia and we are supportive of this move. As a result, 18,000 troops have been put on stand-by for deployment and Annihilation's military readiness level has been moved up to DEFCON 3." - Constance Philips, Vice President and Interim Foreign Affairs Commander.
  20. **Private message to the Emperor of Taiwan** Thank you for your message. We would be happy to meet with you, and I will ask that my vice president, Constance Philips is recognised as my stand in to this meeting, for I cannot attend, which is unfortunate. However I extend my warmest greetings to you and I look forward to working with you in the near and distant future. Constance shall arrive in Taiwan immediately. She will be arriving in the governmental 747, so make sure that your strip can accommodate our jet. Michael Williams, President of Annihilation **End Message** We thank the nations so far for their warm wishes. We will not let you down.
  21. Today, there is a new voice in the world, and there is an improved country that is ready to take it’s rightful place upon the world stage. My name is Michael Williams, and I am your new President! Thunderous applause erupts from the crowd below the stage as the old man, the new president, declares himself the new President of Annihilation. A flag drops down behind the stage and the crowd gasps in amazement. The new Annihilation flag. For too long the citizens of Annihilation have suffered, and you have been at the hands of a woman who did not care for your wellbeing. That stops today! We plan to make sure this country prospers under a new leadership so we can enjoy today and make the future better for our younger generations. Michael looks around behind him, smiling at the young girl sitting between two security personnel. She looks up, puzzled. All of the people on the stage are dressed in black, the old man and his bodyguards wearing black suits, the female in a casual business suit. I would like to introduce my new vice president. This person has proven that they can handle any situation well under pressure and they have been an invaluable resource and friend to me as I structure and reshape this country. Our country. Without further ado, please let me introduce Constance Philips! Constance looks up at the mention of her name. She stands up, shaking slightly and staring hard at Michael. Michael smiles as Constance embraces him, then shakes his hand. She walks up to the podium and casts her eyes over the crowd and the filming crews. “I’d like to thank Michael for giving me this opportunity to help develop and drive Annihilation forward into the future. Be assured that I will work for the people, for you. And I will always strive to make our amazing country the best it can be.” Michael stands beside Constance and beams. Annihilation is back in business.
  22. OOC: I thought so. I'm deliciously pleased with how this has turned out. <3 a drama!
  23. Constance opened the slider and walked out onto the balcony, breathing in the fresh air as the wind hit her with a gentle coldness. She looked around and smiled, the city of Ilam crawling with construction workers and building projects. Change was in the air, and everyone knew it. The old man had literally thrown money at the city, infrastructure getting a major facelift. Public goods had been either updated or created, and everyone seemed to appreciate this major upheaval. Mass transport had been developed, with cheap and efficient buses taking people where they needed to go. Other cities around the country had been massively updated. Sumner, the harbour city had been transformed as a massive sea-port city, with huge international shipping companies slowly using Sumner as a world-class port, importing and exporting commodities and helping to boost the local economy. Constance walked back inside and sat at her desk, shuffling through the various newspapers and press releases that had to be given to the old man. Their relationship was not great, to say the least, but Constance knew there was a caring and sweet soul inside of the hard shell that was her boss. The old man, on the other hand, could only tolerate the young girl to a point. Still, she had helped him to redevelop Annihilation, and was always ready to answer his questions with a smile. Maybe, he thought, she wasn’t that bad after all. Constance felt a buzzing sensation in her pocket and sighed, pulling out the pager that the old man had given her. She stood up, putting on a warm smile and entering his office. The old man looked up and smiled stiffly before beckoning her forward. “These reports you’ve given me – they’re rather amazing. Are you SURE we’ve had 70,000 enlist for the military?” The old man’s face looked stunned, as if someone had slapped him. Constance stifled a giggle and sat down in front of his desk. “Yes, My Lord. We have had over 70,000 applications for the army, and nearly all of them are up to the job. What’s astounding is the number of civilians we have registered, which is currently sitting at 201,600. And growing.” The old man smiled, and stood up, walking over to the window and looking out at the city below him. “Infrastructure... Mass transport... Goods and services that the public can actually benefit from... I think we’re ready to announce this new, improved Annihilation to the world. Constance, can you inform all of the major news networks and write up a press release for our Declaration of Existence? I also need a stage and speakers set up in Aotearoa Square.” The old man sits down at his desk and starts to write on a clean sheet of paper. Constance moves to the door before the old man stops her. “Constance. Be prepared for the ride. I need you now more than ever. The phoenix is about to take off.” He looks up at the young woman, moving his eyes up and down her slender frame as she slips through the door, whispering to himself. “Your father, if he were alive, would be proud.” OOC: This story is now finished, but feel free to tell me what you think
  24. OOC: <3 Generalissimo  Battlemechs and A-Team.
  25. You obviously haven't seen her in #CNRP. And you obviously don't know that she has a vested interest in this. It's probably a good idea to blame her, OOC anyway. I know I would.
