Il Terra Di Agea
Thats a cool system, do you have an overview of all the used levels? OOC: I have a vague rundown. The system goes from 1 to 19. Nothing ever has security one written on it because it is deemed "Public Knowledge." Anyone, regardless of status can see things up to security two. Security 3-5 is visible to any Government or ADI employee 6-9 is visible to managerial workers and military officers 10-19 are used pretty rarely, but are all visible to high ranking officers, High ranking government, and high ranking ADI people I really need to make that all more precise, but it's all essentially a security clearance thing. There are currently three long term projects being planned, a manned Moon mission, the construction of a re-usable shuttle, and the construction of a space station in the coming years. Launch site Near Ceuta The project is being lead up by ADI's Space division, and payed for by the Governments Experimental Technologies fund. Il Terra Di Agea
Infrastructure Revamping Draws Problems, Protest It has now been several months since the pass of the controversial "Norwegianization and Reconstruction Bills," but now the Storting has announced that the funds for the project have run out. Prime Minister Stoltenberg has stated that "This is only a temporary set back. The bill is by no means going to become void, but the IOU system in place before the funds were initially released will have to be reinstated." The Prime Minister went on to say that the project has ballooned past the original plan to repair major roadways and revitalize urban living conditions. Last month alone, over 21 billion Kroner were taken from the Bank of Norway to fund various projects, many of which are already requesting more money. The decrease in Funds has began to draw protesters across the nation. These protests call for cancellation of the bill in order to maintain a higher rate of income for the nation, and decreased taxes. National Search for Those Qualified To Lead Norwegian Moon Mission The Norwegian National Space Agency announced today that they were search for four more astronauts to join Doctors Karla Lundberg and Viktor Charkov on the manned mission to the moon planned for some time in the next year. There have been hundreds of candidates put forward, all of whom meat the requirements of the mission, qualifications based on physical fitness, vision, ability to work in a group and physiological stability. Dr. Lundberg and Dr. Charkov were decided upon early due to their knowledge of engineering and ability to better work the more technological parts of the mission. Il Terra Di Agea
Classified: Security 15 Northport Research Facility: Section 10 A tall man walked slowly along the high platforms of the massive facility. All around him echoed the sounds of explosions and engines. The smell, the being of the facility was, at it's heart, a strange experience. Every corridor smelt of overheated electronics, gunpowder, and gasoline. The place was full of energy, from the smallest of bugs in the biological centers, to the massive pits of the Section Fourteen Bomb testing range, everything seemed to move and live. Dr. Campen, often got lost in thought as he took his morning stroll over his testing areas. He couldn't help it, he loved his job. The Doctor slid his security badge through the reader, placed his palm on the scanner, and placed each foot on their specialized scanners. After waiting a moment, the doors slid open. He quietly slid into the decontamination shower, and put on his now sterilized clothes. He stepped out of the clean room, into the elevator, and took a quick ride down the the ground level, where several other scientists and military men stood waiting. "Ladies and Gentlemen," Dr. Campen began, "Today, you shall witness one of the largest leaps forward in military technology since the creation of the jet engine." With a waving motion, he pulled a sheet off of the nearby table, and revealed a three foot in diameter disc. "May I present, the Modular Disc-Wing Urban Cruise Munition. Capable of flights up to three hours, at speeds of One Hundred miles per hour. The disc can carry up to fifty pounds of ordinance, and is wrapped in a lightweight, non-metallic coating, easy to re-paint in camouflage. The disc is highly maneuverable, smaller models could even be built to take out individual apartments through windows. The disc costs less to build and operate than standard cruise munitions." After a long pause, General Arttu Hyytiä slowly said, "Soooo, Are you going to... I don't know, fire it?" "No, this is a model of the finished product. What we need is funding. As of now, we have built several prototypes, including a operable prototype of this model. We need increased funding to increase the power of the disc for longer flights, and to do more experimentation in the theory." The several military men gathered together, and briefly deliberated. General Hyytiä walked over to Doctor Campen, and shook his hand, "You drive a hard bargain. We'll need a functioning prototype by year's end." OOC: I've done too little RP out of Northport, decided it would be good to get some description of it out of the way, while also starting a project I've been meaning to work on
