1.
Godwin'd in the best way possible - by being wrong. Germany declared on the USA.
But USA committed acts of war by aiding and abetting a [s]close friend[/s] the UK! That means Germany's declaration was defensive!
 2. So legion is going to restore us only for us to destroy them later? Cool.
 3.
Ahh yes, grammar invalidates ideas, i forgot. [s]Your[/s] You're an idiot.
More like, Grammar changes sentences so that it says something completely different. Your idiot says You're an Idiot. There's a difference, learn it. EDIT: If you disagree, I refer you to my signature before you post a reply.
 4.
he's already said all this posturing about defense and aggression is dumb.
Only if someone else does it right? We're too busy not being soundly defeated to really care about how you want to spin this.
 5.
Tetris did not commit an act of war on Legion, when they did, and that as such Legion is the aggressor, which they are not, erego NSO is defending Tetris.
Convenient spin there, but no. We are quite definitely defending Tetris from an aggressive act from Legion. An act of aggression that was provoked is still aggression all the same (Again, the opposite of aggressive is passive.), NSO is bound to Tetris and would definitely defend a friend even without the Defense treaty. Funny thing about defense treaties, they're kind of a promise that you will come to the defense of an ally when said ally is attacked. There is no provision of "Well, if we agree with the CB we don't have to" They also do not contain a clause requiring you to come to the "defense" of an ally who attacks another alliance and receives a retaliatory declaration. You really don't understand how treaties work, do you?
 6.
Are people seriously arguing that attacking in defense of an ally is not aggression anymore? You guys are really on something.
I agree. Declaring war is aggressive. Not declaring war is passive, by contrast. However, a *war of aggression* contains two sides: The Aggressors and the Defenders. The aggressors consist of the alliance who originally declared war (Reasons for declaring not withstanding) And her allies. The defenders consist of the alliance who was originally declared upon and any allies who come to this alliances defense. Bit of term confusion going on here on the OWF, I'll give you that much.
 7.
I'm pretty sure at this point that this is all just a ploy by NSO so that nobody will ever attack them in the future just to avoid this !@#$ that comes along with it every single time they lose a war.
Shoot, he figured out our secret plan! I worked on that thing for MONTHS man!
 8.
Again, that has nothing to do with what I actually stated, nor does it refute anything. So far the only thing respectable done by Tetris/NSO is the fact that both are willing to burn for their allies. Other than that, both ya'lls alliances are utterly worthless.
I seem to remember burning for our smaller allies in a certain war against a certain beer-swilling alliance until they got peace without being asked. Tetris is free to leave. Before you cite a certain war with a certain "cold" alliance, they have actually, you know, put up a good fight.
 9. Does anyone else (who has them turned on) find the notifications a bit....glitchy? At times I can't even click the number to open a menu of notifications. And the popups' HTML is broken after 1/x (X = Number of Notifications) in the popups.
 10.
Global wars start through the chaining in of Military Defense Pacts on both sides. So if what you said was true then only the alliance that was first attacked can bring in alliances through MDP's and no one else... Which is false, so maybe you dont know what you're on about with all the spinning you're doing.
Just want to interject here, We didn't come in on a chain. That is all.
Talk about PR.... Even Tetris has stated they have been given terms but won't leave due to NSO, not Legion, but NSO. I repeat, Tetris is staying on the battlefield currently because of NSO and no one else.
Huh, seems Tetris has the same concept of allies that we do.....interesting.
 11. I admit to mistaking you for the other anime alliance and thinking the NG-SOS war was NG-NsO. Congrats on a year, a noble achievement in this day and age. o/ Cherry Blossoms. Senbonsakura Kageyoshi.
 12.
snip
All I get from your posts is this: You should just give up the OWF altogether. You're worse than some people claim I am.
 13.
LMFAO........ So lets get this right, people can now sign a treaty and join in a war that started a month ago ?, this is a crazy new world we live in, wont be long before people sign treaties to have a vaild reason to attack another alliance for a war that happened 4 years ago. Hail TPF for setting the standard.
Alliances are not restricted by their treaties in deciding who to declare war upon. So yes, People can now (And always could) just join in a war that started however long or short ago. Its not so much a new world such as a revelation of what had already been true. EDIT: Inb4 someone claims I said MD are not binding agreements.
 14. If anything, escalation would give something new and fresh to argue over. Can't say it wouldn't :-p
 15.
How dare you challenge the long standing mechanics of in game war declarations and how they must occur. Planet Bob is a bustling, highly active place, because of these fantastic mechanisms, therefore they must be unwittingly preserved and protected, so that this planet can continue to thrive and flourish.
I lol'd at the statement made in the quoted text.
 16.
question...lets say NSO actually did call in allies via an Aggression treaty clause that keeps popping up...who would they call because they only have MDP level treaties (including their bloc with Carpe Diem). i've been confused everytime people have been bringing this up so if someone could answer it'd be helpful lol
You do realize NSO holds an oAoDp with the entire cyberverse right? More generally, Every alliance holds an oAoDp with every other alliance in the entire cyberverse.
 17.
A cute quote that made me chuckle. but needs moar art. Here's another slightly less than good picture:
Retooled this one
 18. The argument herein lies in an inherent misunderstanding of the premises. One side takes one set of premises and runs with it while another takes still another set of premises. It just so happens that the premises from which NSO is operating are the right ones in this instance. (See where the divide is? Everyone who disagrees with me will say the premises from which Legion is operating are the right ones. We've said everything that needs to be said in a thread about the surrender/whitepeace/winning-frogger of NsO, BTA, and the late IAA and it has run its course.)
 19.
This made me laugh, 1) NSO lies, come on if you are not losing then win the damn fight without having to beg for support from your allies. 2) NSO will never be able to walk away, you will forever be known as the alliance who lost to LOLegion and had to use your allies to save face. 3) NSO calls in allies simply because they made a mistake and lost the war and can not admit it, so they got bailed out.
Your premises are all flawed, thus your arguments are invalid. Try again. Or better yet, save the world about fifty or so IQ points and stop posting. NSO is a caring soul.
 20.
-Krunk and RV are asked where they get their supply
Not even my fellow Sith know the answer to this one my good sir.
 21.
I don't understand why I waste my time with you. I should take my own advice and leave the thread but before I do... Your response is the stupidest !@#$@#$ logic I have ever heard. Just because one person remains after a guy beats up 4 others doesn't mean he won an even fight. He beat up five guys once he finishes with the one remaining. And no, this isn't a metaphor to the number of alliances or whatever before you jump on that... I am saying that the logic that the fight only compromised of people who remain at/towards the end is absolutely wrong.
You are at this point in time fighting 134 nations. You are also losing NS at the same rate as you were at the beginning of the war. 214 > 134. This war is even. Right. You do know that spewing bulls!@# can give you Hepatitis right? You're right, take your spins out of here and let truth remain.
 22.
You're missing the point, and it doesn't surprise me. There is no other war. Quit wasting my time, and go back to your litter box with the rest of whatever of you are.
You're missing the point, and quite frankly with your demonstrated level of intelligence it doesn't surprise me. This is no such war.
 23.
You are the larger coalition. Deal with it. Own it. Accept it. Move on. Even if you weren't at one time, as of this announcement you are only fighting two alliances who are, combined, smaller than you.

Just because alliances on your side didn't perform up to par doesn't discount them. Deal with it. Own it. Accept it. Move on.
The bolded ninja edit is my response.
 24.
Show me one other war in history that the coalition with less NS/Members/etc. won.
You are the larger coalition. Deal with it. Own it. Accept it. Move on. Even if you weren't at one time, as of this announcement you are only fighting two alliances who are, combined, smaller than you.
