1 roll for bunker networks in south korea
1 roll for coastal defences in this area: Seogwipo, Jeju, Wando, Kindo and Haenam. Theyre all within the same general area of eachother and around the coast/islands off the coast.

Searching Google, the closest comparable impact that I found was the 2 ton impact of LCROSS onto the moon back in 2009. Estimates on crater size from that were 20-25 meters (60-75 feet) across to 5 miles across. Even if we go on the lower end of estimates, that's still a decently devastating impact crater, especially on troop morale.

EDIT: Found depth: 13 feet.

Probably the best estimate we have out there, although we probably have to lessen the damage a bit.

Four rolls at 50 % odds. 1-50 = Fail ; 51-100 = Success.

1 Success and 1 Fail for Centurius
2 Successes for Zoot Zoot

Good day. I would like to request two spyrolls against Kankou to obtain SAT-INT information on bunkers in the north of the Greater Korean Federation.

Requesting two rolls against Kankou: both to hack government records computers and retrieve construction records from major military facilities (locations, blueprints, etc.); not just looking on military computers but financial computers too that track where the workers were paid or where military-grade materials were shipped.

I'll continue to do this with all Korean War roll requests, if posted here: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=102933

This should keep the GM thread tidier.

Also, I ask that the GMs no longer bother posting the result screenshots for Korean War related rolls. It seems that's making the entire rolling process slower, so let's do that away for this particular RP to speed things up. Just make sure that all Cent/Kankou related rolls are done by either EM or Cochin (for purely professional reasons).

Are people making sure they RP out the failure of their spy rolls and failure of their nuke strikes? Seems to me if people are asking the GMs to make all these rolls they can at least live up to their end and do the RP for them even when they fail.
I get to RP the nuclear results, and the rest of the rolls (except mine) are just pure intelligence, so no real need for RPing yet.

but... if they fail a spy roll and they are trying to hack they should at least rp the failure as that gives you a window to counter them.

Which is why they need to rp their failure.

That is what failure is all about, getting bit in the bottom when you screw dah poochie.

2 Spyrolls for Bunker finding:

Now this is what I wanna do

As I recall the USGS can track nuclear explosions even small ones like the .5 kiloton one North Korea did the first time. With the plethora of nuclear detonations across the North I would like to request a spy roll for the UFE National Geospatial Agency and National Geological Service to work together to map the way in which energy traveled to different points in the UFE territory (China, Ryukyu's, Offshore Korean Islands, Siberia) presumably with a tunnel complex this large there would be huge amount of hallow space which would cause the hydrogen bombs that have been detonated to have their seismic readings move differently. This spy roll (who if successful would unroll over several combat posts) would begin to put this picture together.

Why I find this an impossibility:

1. The only underground complex in the network which was bombed was the command center in the Southern Sobaek. The other successful rolls are 4 air bursts along with the Korea-Zargathia borders (one of which, the attack on Uiju Air Base by Cent, had its blast cross the border, with no way to divert it) and two underground bursts on isolated reinforced shipyards. There is no particular path for the energy from the explosions to have traveled along the network.

2. The sheer mass of the continuous mountain ranges means that the seismic readings would barely be affected by the tunnels unless I managed to leave only shells. We're taking about lines of over 1500 meter above sea level granite walls. Even if we suppose every one of the nukes had hit a command center, there would be no major abnormal changes in the seismic waves for there to be any reading of cavities unless you had sensors near the strike points.

3. The network would be comprised of (relatively) small tunnels for transportation and nodes of command centers/barracks/depots. It's not like I have 20 meter wide tunnels all throughout the mountain ranges.

4. Unless there has been continuous monitoring of seismic readings over a long period of time, it would be almost, of not outright, impossible to know if the specific reading showed that there is something particular about a certain area. Only Korea would have such information, and it's not like I was ever really that interested in keeping such recods in the first place (second point is debatable, but the first is impregnable).

5. You have no Korean islands (except Jeju/Marado), since with how we drew the water borders last time, I got every single Korean islands possible aside from the RL Jeju Special Autonomous Province. And please, don't go about how I fooled you or anything, since I showed you this map (http://i911.photobucket.com/albums/ac318/kousenkankou/Maps/koreanwater.png) to show you what islands the Koreans would have.

6. (Not really an argument, but just my opinion) The scale needed for what Triyun is attempting to do requires several supercomputers working at the same time over some period of time to even come up with a reading of how the seismic readings would have been if there were no large empty spaces within mountains. By the time you would have gotten even an estimate of where the complexes would be (supposing you could do such thing, overcoming all the problems mentioned above), we would probably be on the land battles.

7. Seriously, a single roll to know the entire network? Isn't this a bit too simple a number game?

Uh... no. Kankou come on quit it with your cutsie games that you try and play. If you want to know why half the world is rolling you, this is precisely why. You are claiming that your opponent airbursted you when he never typed that and was clearly going for destroying bunkers, which a ground burst was better. In the past you've tried to claim that all the nukes shot at you by Ty were in some remote corner of Korea to get out of RPing damages. You do all this bull !@#$ and then you !@#$%* when everyone gets sick of you and wants to roll you. Cut it out and grow up.

In regards to having super computers, guess what I'm a 12, 000 infra 6700 tech nation, I got super computers a lot of them. In addition the UFE is a signatory to the sovereign initiative which establishes a unified global command structure and intelligence network, other signatories to the Sovereign Initiative include Rebel Army, the Athenian Federation, Novak, Greater Nordic Empire, all of these signatories would possess significant resources, in RAs case exceeding the UFEs and in Athens case coming nearly close to it. If computing power is an issue it is one which can easily be overcome by this treaty alone not to mention if requests are made to Selenarctos which shares a lot of things such as SOSUS and Radar operations in a manner similar to NORAD through ASEAN.

In regards to Jeju, that IS in fact a Korean Island. I also have Tsushima which is located nearby.

Finally the discovery I specifically stated in my post would unfold over several future posts rather than one individual one.

I questioned SOM on the matter, and he CARPET BOMBED, not using EPWs or anything of the sort. Not my problem he said that specifically.
Also, Cent never mentioned anything about the EPWs either, and specific aimed like this:
The B-10s once in the air would immediately move to a near space altitude where they would go to their maximum speed. Moving over the air space of Rebel Army, Novak, international waters and eventually the UFE they would team up with another 10 squadrons which had launched from Cam Ranh Bay. They would move to about 750 kilometers from the Korean Border where their speed was lowered and the targets were programmed. By now 4 F-99 squadrons amd 4 F-1 squadrons from the HNS Poseidon had moved into positions near the Korean border to aid the B-10s should they be intercepted outside of Korean air.

“Black Leader to all units, release all weapons”

The bombers firing from different locations along the sphere would fire a total of 400 missiles at confirmed facilities. These missiles would move to hypersonic speeds to make interception highly unlikely. The 5 main facilities would receive 20 missiles each, one of the 20 missiles in each group would be armed with a 300 kiloton nuclear warhead set to detonate at the perfect moment to take down as much aircraft as possible. Once the weapons were released the B-10s would turn around and fly back to their bases at the maximum speed possible. 10 squadrons back to Cam Ranh Bay and Black Death back to Athens. The fighters would do the same.
Only airbursts on the open air bases would be possible here. Maybe I have gone a bit far with the Zargathia thing, but I posted a map to show how it would have been impossible to not hit Zargathia without going for the "perfect moment to take down as much aircraft as possible".

And if we really want to go about the cutsie games, I gave Zoot enough time to edit out all mentions of Jeju when he was shelling the south coast of Korea. I could have had a field day with that, but still, decided to give him a chance.

If half the world is rolling me because of OOC feelings, not my problem. For all I can say, if it helps them feel good of using pixels to win over someone who just has better knowledge of what she's RPing and also tries to find out about who she is RPing with, that's something they need to work on.
In regards to having super computers, guess what I'm a 12, 000 infra 6700 tech nation, I got super computers a lot of them. Leaving aside all the other arguments for why the plan would be next-to-impossible, I still feel that there needs to be at least 5 successful rolls by you for this to be RPed out fully. Could we first discuss the other issues before the successful roll part?

Yes yes it is your problem. You make these constant assumptions that whomever you are fighting be they Ty, be they SOM are smart enough to run advanced industrialized nations and build fleets of nuclear bombers and submarines but somehow too stupid to use ground bursts against bunkers or target his nukes at the actual Korean peninsula. That IS your problem nobody elses in the game. If you want us to be courteous and talk to you or hold off attacks, then you need to stop being such a huge pain in the ass and make showing simple respect to other RPers and stop trying to drive a big ass semi through every loop hole you think you can see and then take you to the GM court every single time and make it like pulling teeth. You want us to consult you, show some god damn respect for other people once in a while.
