Please realise I did not "create" Botha Mode. I have been RPing this way since December 26, 2006. Back then, anyone who RP'ed used in-game stats. All the rules everyone has come up with have come after the fact because some people whined about "my nation got hurt in Great War 2 and I don't want to RP a nation that went down the toilet" or something like that. They wanted to have gazillion man armies and launch nuclear warheads at will with no ramifications. Those people who accept such rules are those who felt constrained by the game. Those of us in Botha Mode who RP, RP because we are reflecting the game.

It really all really boils down to two philospohical issues:

1) should people be forced to RP something they do not agree to?

2) what is more important: RP or IG?

People who RP in Botha Mode do so because 1) they do not believe anyone should force them to do something arbitrarily outside of the game mechanics of CN, and 2) the IG nation is always more important than the RP nation, because without the the IG nation and mechanics, there would never have been any CNRP to begin with.

OOC: But now we have two sections, fantasy and the one that is only IG mechanics. I hate saying this, but we already have separate areas for IG-only people and CNRP-Style RP.

The first elements of Group I under Major Hussa, arrived at the beach and started toward the town. Quickly unloading, they aimed to get to the town and secure a beachhead. Unloading they quickly stormed the township, locking up the police and setting up a perimiter. All they could do was wait for the others to Arrive.

Group II under Lieutenant Colonel Trepizand landed right on time, 6am. Rushing into the town, they quickly subdued the local populous before establishing a perimiter around the town, they waited.

After a first, failed assault, the Italian Army successfully entered the city of Gallipoli cheered by the local population, immediatly assisted by the military. But many non-combatant dead remained among the rubble "The first civilians to reach safety behind Italian lines were classrooms of children. Emergency services decided to stay in the city, preferring that refuge although the walls of the local structures were fast crumbling."

The liberation of Gallipoli is the first victory of the Italian army in the ongoing conflict. The victory over Libyan forces signals the beginning of an aggressive counter offensive aimed at the total liberation of the country. While the Republic of Transvaal supports its Italian allies in this conflict, we are unfortunately unable to render any military assistance due to some unforeseen logistical problems. Our military simply does not have the capability to fight and support armed resistance on the European continent. We shall however sent monetary support in your defense of the Italian homeland.

A 2,000 man force, composed of plain-clothed Elite Cadre 'Specialists' have been filtered into the Repubblica Italiana in order to help with the fascist forces in the region.

The men are armed with unregistered and unmarked weaponry found in the aging Armouries of the NoN

AK-103, GP-25, PK-Machine gun, Saiga-12 Sawn Off Shotgun, SA-18, RPG-29 and 7.

The men, dropped off at secure ports still within the Italian's control would accompany normal, everyday commerical traffic in the region, as a blockade was yet to be seen by the Libyans.

Once in place, the men would disperse into their Militant Cells, groups of 40 often assigned to certain villages or other choice areas, where they would integrate with Borghese sympathizers, or stay in the wilderness. Their goals, destabilization of any protectorate/occupational forces, sabotage, recon, as well as unofficial law keepers, helping to suppress any who foolishly feel that the invasion should give cause for anarchistic or anti-government sentiment.

Formally, these men are the Counter-terrorism and anti partisan specialists of the NoN- however, informally, they are sanctionned terrorists and guerrilla fighters. They are experts in 18 special disciplines (among which - how to infiltrate guarded buildings, extensive marksmanship training, assassination, kidnapping, anonymous intimidation techniques, driving APCs and flying airplanes, and medical training) that some would consider unsavory - in other words, these men play very, very dirty.

CATANZARO - A 30.000 strong Italian force, backed by thousands tanks and artillery, massed on the outskirts of Catanzaro for a showdown with Lybian forces, raising fears of an Italian assault on the acient city.

Meanwhile, a Defense Ministry official said the Black Shirts are demanding the return of the Republican Military Government and refuse to stand down and return to their homes, they said they will turn against the Italian Government if necessary. Junio Borghese, in an undisclosed location, is coordinating the troops from his command center.

Since the beginning of the conflict, Italian officials tried to negotiate a solution to control the masses of extrene-right supporters. A failure to meet their requests could turn what has been a limited revolt by into an outright Fascist rebellion. A military advance could however inspire loyality to the Italian Government. After the success of Gallipoli, the morale of the troops is reported very high.

"I fear only defeat. I am ready to sacrifice my blood for this country. But I call on the Italian people not to let my killing put an end to their rejection of the Lybian occupation" said an Italian soldiers.

Italian commanders vowed to occupy Lybia, though officials suggested they would not move so far. The target is not Lybia. The target is Catanzaro and the task is the liberation of Calabria "We will hunt them down and destroy them" said another Italian soldier marching to the frontline.

The Italian military has been fighting on several fronts across Italy this day against Lybian armies in Puglia and Calabria. Initial reports of Sicilian troops landing in Calabria were lately found out to be simple propaganda. The Italian Ministry of Defense confirm there is no sicilian presence in the southern regions, and promised the Lybian invaders will be pushed back into the sea by the end of the week.

They are to sit by and be civilian as battles between your forces and the invaders commence. Should you prevail, they will do nothing. Should you retreat, and the victors occupy the territory, they act.

They will perform various guerrilla and terrorist acts in the name of the - Italian partisan forces - against the Libyans, or anyone else that the mongrels send. They will never surrender themselves alive, nor shall they stay in position for very long. They are to strike at weak, or undefended points of interest, or perform hit and run attacks on convoys or other logistics - always in time before the enemy can call in aerial or artillery support.

IF and WHEN this war ends, the surviving members of this Force shall remain in Italy and integrate into your society. Our nation has a great interest in training these... foreign diplomats in the ways of the European. If they do leave, the do so sparingly, and in small amounts.

It is PARAMOUNT that NoN involvement in this war is not discovered. Already, our files and records of these transactions are being destroyed. The men sent to you know this, and know of their non-existant status bestowed upon them.
