Voodoo Nova
Official Novakian Announcement The region of Sudan is close to the hearts of Novak. The region was one of our closest allies in our early days, even aiding us against Somali pirates many years ago. The original Sudan fell, but the region still remains close to our hearts. In the best interest of the former nation known as Mandalore, we are claiming it a Novakian protectorate until they can reform their government once again. Administrators and a company of men will go in to keep law and order alongside local law enforcement and to aid in the reformation of the government. OOC: Nagato is going through some issues with the game/forum, so when he gets it cleared up, it'll go straight back to him.
Executive Minister
Sudan was formerly a UMS/NoN protectorate. Furthermore, when Mandalore was going through a period of civil and military strife, it was the UMS and the NoN alone that stepped in to protect its sovereignity. *CLASSIFIED* We will not suffer a blatantly hostile nation surrounding our borders. SpacingOutMan
The United Mechodamian States sees this as a necessary action and we hope that the situation can be resolved within their government. OOOC: Hopefully he can get back.
Sargun II
Sudan was formerly a UMS/NoN protectorate. Furthermore, when Mandalore was going through a period of civil and military strife, it was the UMS and the NoN alone that stepped in to protect its sovereignity. And now you attempt to force out a friendly nation trying to stabilize it? Not even attempting to try to declare a joint protectorate? Shame on Nod for jumping to their guns so swiftly. SpacingOutMan
If it should better suit Nod, the UMS can request it be made into a dual protectorate and respect the interests of Nod as it was once a joint protectorate following the East African War. Executive Minister
And now you attempt to force out a friendly nation trying to stabilize it? Not even attempting to try to declare a joint protectorate? Shame on Nod for jumping to their guns so swiftly. Shame on Nod for jumping to their guns so swiftly? We have done no such thing as of yet. We have every reason to be wary of the Novakians, given our 'colorful' history and the Aphrikans' blatant foreshadowing of an armed military incursion against us. If it should better suit Nod, the UMS can request it be made into a dual protectorate and respect the interests of Nod as it was once a joint protectorate following the East African War. That would suit just fine. The UMS would be a much more preferential protectorate holder. SpacingOutMan
The UMS, therefore, requests that the region formerly known as Mandalore be cooperatively protected by both Novak and the United Mechodamian States as a dual protectorate. How does Novak comply?
Voodoo Nova
The UMS, therefore, requests that the region formerly known as Mandalore be cooperatively protected by both Novak and the United Mechodamian States as a dual protectorate. How does Novak comply? "We agree that a dual protectorate agreement would suit the region just as well. Therefore, the protectorate shall now be a Novakian-UMS protectorate region." Executive Minister
And where is the NoN prescence? The Executive Minister himself is an avid movie watcher, and has seen the intro to Red Dawn, where the Soviets invaded the US via Mexico, a place where they were supposedly performing peace keeping operations in, resulting in a multivectoral invasion. We do not want another unchecked Aphrikan/NoN front created along our borders. If you desire African unity and diplomatic discourse, addressing this point would be a good start. The FSM
Statement from the League We applaud this necessary peacekeeping and stabilization effort in the Sudan. Hopefully with UMS and Novakian protection the Mandalore Government will be able to weather this current crisis. -Hossein Al-Hussein League Director of Foreign Affairs
loannes
And where is the NoN prescence? The Executive Minister himself is an avid movie watcher, and has seen the intro to Red Dawn, where the Soviets invaded the US via Mexico, a place where they were supposedly performing peace keeping operations in, resulting in a multivectoral invasion. OOC: Hm. I never picked up on that part. I thought they just did a coastal landing IC: "We support our allies in Novak, and by extension the UMS, on this protectorate." -HRH King James II
Mergerberger II
The RSSN supports its ally Novak in its efforts to save this region from total anarchy. While in an ordinary situation we would support the NoN in their efforts to join in the protection, they don't seem to know how to shut up and thus we will support Novak to the end.
