OOC: Messed up at the end, no there are no cultists in the HAE at the moment and no arrests have been made as of yet, this new law is more to preemptively hit any group that might form down.

Due to security concerns a small taskforce of 1,000 Soldiers has been deployed to Paraíso to protect Catholics against the more extreme factions within the nation. A large campaign has been started to inform people that violence against Christians is a crime too.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Brazil (the former Vinilandese provinces were overwhelmingly Catholic and an integral part of the Tahoan Church) welcomes this announcement and hopes their bretheren in the Holy American Empire proper (as opposed to the protectorate) find success. The Roman Catholic Church of Tahoe issued a statement reminding Catholics of the words of Jesus, "'Render Caesar's unto Caesar, and God's unto God.' With increases in budget the Space Agency of the Holy American Empire had the required funds to launch the Lunar 1 Project, a HAE manned base on the moon, for this ambitious goal to be reached the Taurus was selected and almost 24/7 supplies would be launched into space using the Launch Loop of the HAE and GDR. By now 11 Shuttles had been completed which would only come back to earth for refueling and maintenance. It was not known yet how long the project would take.

[b]Foundation -[/b] After having been to the Foundation Academic Hospital the Empress has announced she will be taking a leave from her responsibilities and go to the Mount Imperial Estate in the southern parts of the Empire. Which had been rumored about for weeks has today been confirmed by the Imperial Press Office, the Empress is awaiting a child, the first heir to the Holy American Empire. Due to the leave the Emperor has assumed all authority within the Holy American Empire including that over Phoenicia. When asked the Empress has denied this is a permanent retirement and will return as soon as the child has been born.

OOC: Due to some RL stuff I'll be going on a semi-hiatus from CNRP, I'll still do the occasional RP but active control over the HAE is with Shadow until I return to full acitivity.

With the recent disagreements with Australia the already nationalistic Americans were not so welcoming to their former brothers. Throughout several major cities Australians especially Promised Landers were discriminated against by the others in the cities, the government while not happy with Australia also realized this could not be allowed to go on. Under Imperial Jurisdiction Task Force Australian Safety was formed and a total of 30,000 soldiers were moved to the major cities at the districts mostly populated by Australians. The most soldiers(2,000) were deployed to Little Australia a residential area in Paraíso with around 10,000 Australians most of which Hanseatic. These soldiers would melt into local populations and be there to defend them against movements with the wrong intent.

The Empress made a speech specifically aimed at the people in the HAE.

“Citizens of Australia,

You will notice the deployment of several thousands close to your homes, do not fear them. While we may not agree with your own government you are still considered part of the Empire. To those Australians not in the safe zones, we request you to consider moving. We can not guarantee your safety as we just do not have the manpower to post a Squadron at every household. Do not fear, you are still our brothers and sisters and we will not forget what you have done to help our society. Good luck.”

In addition 50 Imperial Guards were deployed to the Embassy of Australia.

While still working on the Moon base the DSEA authorized construction of the first Holy American Space Station, the station to be named SS Imperial will be able to host a reasonable crew of scientists and astronauts. The design has reserved places to add additional hubs and improve the station in the future with more and more systems. The DSEA has not announced yet how long construction will take but due to the Moon Base it has not been put on high priority.

With tensions mounting in Mexico, 300.000 of the Empire's soldiers were redeployed along with their armor, roughly 5,000 Main Battle Tanks and various other vehicles, to the northern border with the Reich. Additionally, elements of Home Fleet were redeployed to cover various Caribbean assets vital to the Empire's defense, supplemented by Two Aircraft Carriers and Two Dreadnoughts withdrawn from Battlefleet Azores.

Imperial assets around the world were put on standby to counter any threats which may arise from the possible hostile takeover of an ethnically Imperial area.

[b]Diocese Norte[/b]

With the capture of Baja California, Imperial planners deigned it necessary to take a revisionist stance on the defenses of the Empire, particularly in the north where other nations existed with the capacity to become dangerous. Specifically the land passages through the heartland of the Northern Empire were only moderately fortified; with barbed-wire and bunkers. This was simply unacceptable; a level of fortification exceeding that of Baja was to be desired in order to assure the stability of the Empire against any threats which may arise.

Plans from around the world, reconnaissance photographs, even war-documentations were read in order to determine what sorts of additions would be deemed acceptable to the Northern Imperial Province. It was eventually decided that various components of the Baja defense would be added to tried-and-true techniques involving dug-in defenders and other important strategies. Fortresses spanning hundreds of meters began construction; each armed with anti-aircraft weaponry and jammer technology imported from allies across the globe. Massive mortars and direct-fire weapons were held in heavily constructed bunkers across the width of the Empire's territory twenty kilometers from the border. Additionally, massive earthen beams were erected around the bunkers in such a manner as to deflect or absorb the majority of fire. Only the most unfortunate direct, excessively heavy hits would silence a gun.

Additionally, except for major roads already hard-wired for extremely prejudiced detonation in the event of a war, massive holes and tank traps were dug across the width of the Northern Province. Such was the thoroughness of the devastation that no tank would be able to cross the zone for wont of a smooth path to travel upon. All-Terrain vehicles were hard-pressed to make progress through the no-man's land.

Sniper's nests were prepared throughout the area under cover of night; in addition to underground ready-rooms which would serve as rest and refit centers to any sharpshooters operating within the territory. These bases were twenty feet below the ground and surrounded with radar-dispersing materials, in addition to being sound-proofed and virtually impregnable. Camera technology powered by stored fuel-cells allowed those within to maintain a watch on their surroundings; when enemy forces were closing in the occupants were equipped with a suicide charge which would scuttle all of the fuel-cells simultaneously as well as incur a sympathetic detonation of several pounds of C-4.

Further back, a massive minefield was emplaced near he end of the no-go zone. These heavy devices were left over from the Top Gear war; munitions designed to eliminate a heavy Imperial-Battletank equipped with composite armor and carbon-nanotube chassis. They would have no problem carving through simple steel; even less flesh and bone.

Thirty kilometers from the border, additional military bases equipped with airstrips and chopper-ports were being constructed. They were highly fortified and placed often-times surrounded by earth; either naturally or by design. Like all Imperial military stations, they were equipped with suicide charges operated by landline buried dozens of feet underground and with multiple backups. The local populace, likewise, was infuriated at the concept of being invaded after the Empire had improved their lives so thoroughly and began fortifying their own homes as well as purchasing goods to feed soldiers in the event of a true invasion.

An additional 200,000 soldiers were earmarked to enter the Northern Provinces, bringing the total to 400,000.

Imperial naval defenses in the area were decidedly heavy, so it was decided that no further fortifications were needed at the time of this writing.

Missile Bunkers and various heavy defenses were being brought up in pieces, underground, and under cover of night to Diocese Norte. Anti-tank munitions ranging from highly advanced fixed missile launchers to aircraft munitions mounted on tripods were being deployed across the border. Earthen works stretched towards the heavens, their walls unmatched by any fortification constructed in the western hemisphere out of the ground. A network of subterranean tunnels stretching back to the outskirts of Imperial Center ran parallel to the underground highways of the old Imperium. These passages were vital for ensuring security and fast redeployment of the Army.

Additionally, ever heavier minefields and fortifications were being laid down and emplaced along the entire northern border. Checkpoints were erected and artificial mountains were built to prevent landings along the coasts. An entire massive program constructing Mountain-Ranges along the coasts gained the nickname [b]Project Neo Andes.[/b]The mountains were being created by blasting massive trenches behind the area and dumping the resultant debris along the coast, supplemented by massive granit deposits and concrete construction holding the structure aloft.

These monoliths were constructed at just over half a mile high, with tops flattened to allow patrols to move back and forth along its' length. In specially constructed citadels, anti-aircraft munitions and even SAM missiles repurposed to target and sink ships and mounted with several solid-fuel rocket boosters to minimize the time each missile spends in the engagement basket. These armories were located on elevator platforms deep within the walls of Project Neo Andes; but fed by several gas-turbines they were able to come into operation within 30 seconds of targets being cited. Each held a dozen of the SAM missiles; and there were two bunkers every kilometer of seawall.

The Empire has announced a new program in which all immigration to South America is prohibited except for passes given out by the government; those individuals will be guarded at every step of their travel through the Empire. Foreign enclaves have been prohibited and all ethnic groups except Imperial and Phoenician have been pushed into specific cities and given their own networks independent of the Empire's communication grid. Additionally, important data was set behind quantum codes and other highly experimental encrypting techniques, one of which changed its' code every day in an algorithm contained only within the Emperor's personal computer, housed in his artificial eye.

Manual disconnects and other linkages were established in order to deny access from any terminal to the network. Fortunately, this wasn't hard seeing as the only classified data was housed in Imperial Center and Foundation, located within heavily guarded military bases with access codes that were known only to the Proconsul and Emperor. Each terminal was equipped with a self-destruct mechanism which purged all data the moment a wrong-code was input; or if any device was plugged into the console.
