The Juggernaut glanced at Nergal. His sensors immediately detected a huge surge of power; Nergal really was a powerful being. But was he more powerful? The Juggernaut could not stand the thought of it. Nergal would provide the perfect test.

Had Nergal glanced at the Juggernaut quickly enough, he would have been able to barely see a blur before the Juggernaut's fist--moving faster than the fastest jet in the world--connected with his jaw.

OOC: This is all under the assumption that, of course, we are equally matched and your guy doesn't incinerate mine to a crisp in ten seconds. ^_^

OOC: Technically speaking, there's only one entity as strong as Nergal and that's Sarah's unspecified Light impersonation. But I'm making Nergal toy with everybody as well as limiting his power because of the ability for his host's body to channel energy.

IC: The blow was not entirely unexpected, but Nergal was less braced for it than he would have liked. The punch sent him careening backwards into the air before landing several yards away. Nergal brushed himself off and stood up, streamers of dark energy repairing what looked like a jaw fractured in several places.

"That hurt. A bit. You know, my plans always specified you have to be alive. They didn't say anything about being a heartless zombie or not."

At that, Nergal materialized a dark blade. He slashed into the air around him. Onlookers would think him crazy until halfway through the swing, reality tore at the seams and out poured thousands upon thousands of creatures from the Dark Realm, each bloodthirsty and intent on destroying the Juggernaut.

Nergal slashed dimensional holes throughout the area, pouring millions of the heartless creatures through in a sea of black. The creatures made an effort to avoid the Elementalist, only aiming for the God-Emperor and Juggernaut. If either of them attempted to kill the creatures, they would find that each simply puddled into the floor for a minute before gradually regaining their shapes.

"You have obviously not even MET the real thing."

Nergal pushed a portion of his power into the physical realm, in effect 'supercharging' his host' body. The two traded blows, constantly lashing out and blocking, switching from on the offensive to defensive. The Juggernaut had apparently forgotten that crushing two, or twenty, or two thousand of the creatures left millions tearing at his back. The swarm jumped upon the supersoldier, clawing their way through flesh with claws made of darkness.

OOC: There is more than just light and dark. My character's power is based just on basic energy, which puts him squarely in between you and Sarah. However I do use light as a description because it is easier to visualize. Also, the lion thing is from his family crest

The Juggernaut would find that the lions had reformed, but instead of attacking him, they were attacking the swarming creature

The God-Emperor grunted for a moment, but then jettisoned the corrupted energy in an explosion of power that scattered the shadows in an instant. He pulled more energy in from the surrounding area, coalescing it into several golden lions who would battle the endless swarm. He charged Nergal and drove his spear through the Avatar's back, the massive energies supercharging the spear itself, until it was so powerful that it seared the fabric of reality itself. OOC: this does not necessarily kill anybody, unless you want to die

OOC: You can't draw energy from Darkness. And there's no way you can make spears and !@#$ from mere friction.

OOC: tearing a hole in a dimension would release an incredible amount of energy, which is how he created everything except the shield and spear, which I clearly stated came from the god-emperor, but when the spear went into Nergal it began drawing power from him as well. (he has an actual physical host body and therefore produces energy) plus he could be stealing energy from the juggernaut and that little fireball subtle's chrater made

and i wasn't taking about friction, i was talking about the actual act of moving

The one thing about darkness...if it faced light directly, it could not stand. Carl, also known as the Elementalist, could not know that the shadow creatures were not to be targetting him, and so he surrounded himself in searing fire. He took a stance that would allow him to create lightning, if he neded it...

Nergal eyed the flames warily, noting how they reduced the lesser creatures to puddles for much longer periods of time than mere physical force. He gave a mental command and the dimensional holes began to zip themselves up, a sea of yellow eyes glaring out from within.

"Flames. A corrupt form of Light, but adequate for the lesser creatures."

The Avatar of Darkness held both hands out and blades formed from the shadows about the piece of hell they inhabited. He whipped them downward into a guard stance and smiled grimly. Pillars of Darkness smashed upward from the corrupted floor, impacting with the force of meteors on both the Juggernaut and Sun-God.

The Juggernaut leapt, dodging one, but t he next one collided with him, and he fell to the ground. However, he stood back up, and with one hand fired a flamethrower into Nergal; with the other, a blade slid out of his wrist armour. He heated it in the flamethrower until it was scorching, and attacked.

OOC: Which is still not enough to produce a golden lion or spear, considering the portals open to a dimension of DARKNESS.

OOC: It matters not where it opens to, the act of opening the portal is what produces the energy

The spear and shield are fueled by freakwars

IC: The pillar hit freakwars, temporarily incapacitating him and tearing the spear from his grip. Without the direct contact, it faded away.

Nergal let out a slight sigh of pain as the flames scorched his robed form. They danced upon the surface and charred his supernaturally powerful physique before crackling out for lack of fuel. The red-hot blade slid neatly into Nergal's abdomen; instead of retreating, Nergal advanced along the blade and swung both of his own for the Juggernaut's massive torso. After connecting, the blades would explode in clouds of Shadows functioning much the same as flakes of White Phosphorous; burning and eating everything they came into contact with.

The Juggernaut felt the blades collide with his armour, scorching it; he felt the heat through it, and snarled with pain. With a furious bellow he took out his blade, and slashed it at Nergals neck, and then opened his back-shoulder compartment, pulling out a long rifle. He began firing the superheated bullets within it at the Avatar.

There was no way Nergal would let that blade decapitate his host. He vaporized into a cloud of amorphous Darkness and sunk into the ground, emerging several meters away but remaining intangible. Bullets passed through his cloudy form without any damage. At this point if Nergal grew annoyed he could literally force himself into the Juggernaut's body through pores and bodily orifices, causing him to explode from the inside out.

But Nergal was in a good mood.

"Really, I'd appreciate it if you would stop for an instant."
