As it's the last update for this round, I've decided to hand out some awards for alliances in TE, based on my own personal experience and opinion (as such, Your Mileage May Vary). So it is my pleasure to present the Planet Steve Awards: Round Eight (sponsored by the SOS Brigade):

Best New Alliance

Ordo Paradoxia, without a doubt.

They didn't exist last round and emerged this round to take a dominating position for the entire round. At one point, I recall them having more nuclear weapons (about 60) than everyone else put together (about 55). Once they took the #1 spot in the rankings, they never yielded it, even with their alliance being at war for much of the back half of the round. Well done, OP.

Best War Performance

Lafayette Escadrille, against Ordo Paradoxia.

What else can compete with an alliance that held its own against an alliance four times their size?

Pacifist Award

Mario Kart.

To my knowledge, they managed to get through the round without getting into any kind of major conflict. As a result, they end the round as the smallest (memberwise) of the Sanctioned alliances, with just 31 nations and an average NS of 4,405. Furthermore, as of the writing of this, their top nation has a whopping 15,827 NS, placing them 2nd in the entire world.

Warmonger Award

Roman Empire.

With almost all the attention of Steve on the Ordo Paradoxia war, this one almost slipped past me: the Roman Empire/Rodentia Dominatus war. The rest is, as they say, history.

Most Influential Player

Tie between JimKongIl of Ordo Paradoxia and Tiberius of Roman Empire.

Jim, unquestionably running the largest alliance in the game automatically qualifies for this, and Tiberius, despite having been removed from his 'throne' as Emperor, continues to wield considerable influence in the politics of Planet Steve.

Well, as to be expected it was all gains in today's update, as alliances continue packing on the members (with one exception, we'll mention that later).

The biggest gainer in members was Roman Empire, picking up 55 nations, and almost eight points of score, cementing them as today's Biggest Absolute Gain. Biggest Relative Gain went to Global Anarchy And Terror Organization who increased their score by well over 50%.

Today's only alliance that lost score was SOS Brigade, losing almost half a point, or a bit over six percent of their total score. As today's only alliance to lose score in the Sanction Race, they take home both of the Loss awards uncontested.

Finally, we welcome Army Of Darkness and The Society to the Race, having passed The Add Line after falling short yesterday.

Ah, it seems my old TE alliance (Destructor Fleets) is doing well and on the list of AAs for the TE Sanction race. I wish SOS was still sanctioned though, darn CDT for taking the sanction away from us >_>
