king of cochin
It is our opinion that any name change would be pointless. The idea of Dragon Empire has evolved from the Dragon Bloc and indeed Dragon is a mythological creature both feared and respected by people through the ages. Hence we feel comfortable with Dragon Empire. Change for change's sake is not something we look forward to. So unless there arises some genuine reason for name change we shall vote No. Edited August 20, 2009 by king of cochin

Justinian the Mighty
"We'd like to see what the Slavorussian Government has in mind for consideration." We were hoping that once the conflict with Yacrania is over The Slavorussian and Dragon Empires could sign an optional defense agreement with trade options if possible. We just wanted to see if the DE was interested before we wrote the treaty.

We'll definitely look at your proposal.. clean up this war and we'll cede you the floor for your offer." The Slavorussian representative was then escorted from the floor.. and the floor was locked up for a very private conversation. "Ladies and gentlemen of the congress. I have been in private dialogues with the newly formed corporate state in New Mexico. They are interested in intensifying relations with us even up to an optional defense pact with economic trade agreements and the permission to invest in the corporations which helped forge the state as well as joint military exercises in the Mexican theater to help them secure their sovereignty. My experts are currently in the process of drafting a treaty proposal, but I wanted to keep you abreast of developments without the whole world knowing what we're up to pre-declaration. Maelstrom Vortex
ooc: This proposal is so epic, it deserves its own theme song! ic: In the now highly secretive meeting of the Dragon Empire.. Maelstrom released this new bombshell of potential. "Ladies and gentlemen of the congress. I have a new proposal I've worked out privately with members of the new Eurasian Union. I present to you.. the Eurasian Pact. It would be the largest alliance in recorded Bob history.. and would allow unprecedented global influence to both Europe and Asia. It would also stabilize Europe. I think it, perhaps, the most incredible proposition to date. I would like to know your votes on this matter. Dragonisia votes affirmative, noting the unparalleled dominance it would secure." Possible flag of our child. 1. Signatories agree not to war with each other. 2. Signatories of this treaty agree to free trade. 3. Signatories of this treaty grant freedom of military movement through their sovereign domains so long as the intent is solely transit. In the event of a war of defense, this escalates to full military permissions for transit to defend the allied states. 4. Signatories of this treaty agree to allow the free flow of capital financing between their respective nations in terms of private investment and ownership. 5. Signatories of this treaty agree to share intelligence of any geostrategic threats to their partners as soon as they become aware. 6. Signatories of this treaty pledge to co-operate in scientific research and development. (ooc: This allows Signatories to take advantage of a tech-sharing option if they wish and it would be beneficial. Please consult the tech-sharing formula in my signature.) 7. This treaty may be canceled anytime with a 24 hours Notice. 8. Signatories agree to defend each other in the event of war. 9. The treaty does not chain, an activation of a third party MDP treaty makes the war an optional war of defense to members of this alliance. 10. Members of this treaty may opt to act in wars of aggression initiated by other treaty members as a means of strengthening the aggressor state. The resulting areas highlighted in black would be allied areas: "Also, members of the PRC, the Free States of Prussia have a proposal for you concerning the Quingdao region regarding leasing or purchase. They'd like to have a word with you at your convenience." Maelstrom stated all this with an Enthusiasm which had once left him. Subtleknifewielder
I would like to note that the proposal for a uniform from Andonia does seem as good as any, but it is not an issue I need to comment on. "Hrmm.. the Commonwealth of Asia. I've pondered a change for a very long time, but almost all the peoples of Asia venerate Dragons and it was fitting.. which is why I left the name unchanged. I am willing to consider this proposal if the council is. Thus, I say we take up a list of proposals if we wish to in fact change the name. First, let us decide.. do we change our name? For now, I vote undecided. Perhaps just drop Empire and pick up a more appropriate descriptor of our government like.. the Dragon Commonwealth or such.""I'd even considered the United States of Asia to taunt the United States of America by stealing their abbreviation.. then outlasting them." Votes for a name change: Yes: 1 (PRC) No: 0 Undecided: 1 (Dragonisia) Promised Land votes YES for the name change. CORM is a fabric blend of Kevlar, Vectran and Aramid. It is rated to provide impact protection from a .50 caliber Heavy Machine Gun round. A full tactical body armor suit weighs a total of 10 kgs. Royal Cochin Defense Forces, Royal Cochin Special Forces and select units of Royal Cochin Police Forces have already ordered for CORM units. Oates
An unfamiliar face entered into the congressional chambers, with his staff by his side. He had a smug look on his face as he waltzed toward the podium, being introduced to the Imperial Congress by non other than Maelstrom Vortex himself. "Mr. Oates," Vortex announced, "will be directly involved in the ratification of this treaty, and from what I understand he has a counter-proposal." Walter Oates took the podium, his eye glasses rested on his face as he started to read the treaty that he and his Board of Directors drafted. Subject: CFNA-Dragon Empire Economic Cooperation TreatySponsers: None Signatories: Corpocratic Federation of North America The Corpocratic Federation of North America, Is Concerned over the recent tensions across the world, notably in Europe. Recognizes that there is a need for polticial unity in this chaotic world, aswell as global economic cooperation. Applauds the Eurasian Union's foundation, and sees it as a tool for peace. Reminds the Imperial Congress that the Corpocratic Federation of North America is in an awkward position, bordering a nation hostile to the Imperial Congress and Eurasian Union. With these concerns expressed, the Corpocratic Federation of North America proposes the following, 1. A limited mutual defensive pact be established against the Tahoe Republic. In the event of war, full military transit will be granted to all signatories of this treaty. 2. That a committe be established for the exploration of the possible advantages and disadvantages of further military cooperation. 3. Signatories of this treaty agree to allow the free flow of capital financing between their respective nations in terms of private investment and ownership. 4. Signatories of this treaty pledge to co-operate in scientific research and development. 5. Signatories of this treaty agree to free trade. 6. Signatories of this treaty agree to return any citizen that flees the Corpocratic Federation of North America, to his/her respective province. At the expense of the Corpocratic Federation of North America. 7. Signatories of this treaty agree to criminal extradition. 8. This treaty may be canceled anytime with a 24 hours Notice.
