With the four nuclear missiles that targeted troops in Alvonia destroyed, that left four more. Thankfully for the Hohenzollerns, they had already left their residence, so the damage done was only to the building itself. On the other hand, the damage done to the Prussian Capitol (the building in which some of the legislature would meet) was annihilated. Located in a desolate forest, all of the workers inside (charged with maintaining the building) were instantly killed.

NBC countermeasures were quickly brought up to try and treat those further from the blast who had been injured rather than killed.

A response would be sent to Maria and Romania, confirming Prussian presence at the meeting.

Bucharest, the "little Paris", capital of Greater Romania and its economic heart was a rather flourishing city. While it had seen much strife in the times before the refoundation of Romania, the city seemed to recover fast and to grow at an astonishing rate. While some people were a bit wary on the absolutism of the Queen, it at least brought stability and some kind of order. Or at least police and secret police ensured that there was some kind of order. Bucharest had long been the capital of Romania, and it was filled with an architecture that showed much of the glorious Romanian past. Buildings along major roads such as the Calea Victoriei and the Șoseaua Kiseleff, such as the Royal Palace, the Central University Library, the Cercul Militar Național, many old residences of affluent Romanians, as well as the Arcul de Triumf, demonstrated the cultural and economic strength of Greater Romania in the past, which it strove to achieve and surpass in the present. Also located somewhere in the vincinity was the Byelorussian embassy.

And while Maria did not particularly like her residence in Bucharest and preferred to spend her time in Castelul Hunedoara or Castelul Peleș, it would still serve for now as the location for the peace treaty to be signed. The guests (including the Alvonians) would be welcomed in the capital by Prime Minister Vlasceanu and a small detachment of the Romanian Guard, which would salute them, but later would also search them for any weapons, given they were in charge of palace security too.

Within the palace, in its illustrous halls, Maria I de România would await the many guests, which had arrived for the peace treaty between Alvonia and the coalition. Wearing, just as always, one of her long, carmine red dresses, the Queen of the Romanians would smile kindly, as she shook hands and wished people a nice stay. Like always, the Queen's hands were covered by white gloves. While it seemed her blonde hair and hazel eyes shone bright, Maria avoided standing in the light for too long and rather kept away from windows.

Prussian troops would begin to move into the regions of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, West Pomerania, Lubusz, Lower Silesia, Opole, Silesia, Greater Poland and Kujawy-Pomerania. Their jobs would be to maintain peacekeeping rules and ensure the areas did not fall into disarray.

At the same time, King Wilhelm and Princess Schëre von Hohenzollern arrived in Bucharest to participate in the peace dealing.

Upon their arrival, Karoline Dressler would simply return the shake and move on, although Finn, already smoking his third cigarette of the day, stuck around a little after shaking the Queen's hand. He explained, not really caring if Maria I was listening or not, "Listen, hope there's no hard feelings over me telling you to %*#@ off on national television. It probably won't happen again unless something really dumb happens like we have to go to war with you again. I'm really hoping that doesn't happen." Without waiting for a response, Finn left.

Upon seeing the Prussian royalty arrive, Maria would smilingly greet them and wish them a nice day. The Alvonians seemed less enthusiastic, but Maria could understand why. The Byelorussian representative was curt and blund as always, but that she had gotten used to in Sibiu. It seemed, only the Hungarian representative was missing still.

The guests would be led into a waiting room, where they were to gather. Two doors would lead from this room to the next, similarly held room, with a long ornate table, with a good number of chairs. But for now, the doors were still closed and the guests were offered drinks while waiting.

*Prime Minister Rikard Beres would arrive at the building the meeting is to take place in, and would warmly greet and shake the hands of Maria, and his Belorussian and Prussian counter-parts.  Rikard would express his sincere hope to Maria, that reparations could be agreed upon with Alvonia, for the devastation Alvonia's former ally has caused to the Hungary and Prussian capitals.  He would then take his seat and wait for the meeting to begin.*

Once the Hungarian Prime Minister had arrived too, the guests would be let into the main room by Maria. Servants of the palace would show the guests their assigned seats. The Prussians would sit right next to Maria, who would sit next to the Magyar Prime Minister, who would neighbour his Byelorussian companion. Opposite of them, two seats were reserved for the Alvonians.

A note would be slipped by Maria to Mr Beres, stating what sort of reparations he'd have in mind, without ruining Alvonia, which had denounced the Milanese after all, and whether not Romania could pay part of the necessary sum.

Maria would sit down and wait for the rest of the others to do the same, before she'd start. "Well, thank you all for attending. As you all know, we have gathered to sign a peace agreement, to end the war between our coalition and Alvonia. I would hope that we see some lasting peace and stability, especially after the Milanese disaster. As Alvonia has decided to denounce the Milanese, who clearly overstepped their boundaries, the coalition has decided to moderate its terms to mere territorial concessions and not to hold Alvonia accountable for Milanese actions. As however Milan has fallen already, due to swift and decisive action by our Spartan allies, we would think the requirement for Alvonia to declare on Milan is no longer plausible and will therefor be struck. Any questions, before we continue?"

While waiting for a reply by the Alvonians, Maria would rub the bridge of her nose, before slipping a note to the Prussians about their opinion on the matter. Due to the seating configuration, Maria would wave one of the servants to come closer and deliver another similar inquiry to the Byelorussian representative. Also, she'd ask for a glass of Pălincă, as she let out a sigh.

Wilhelm handed the note to Schëre, and nodded at her when she looked at him inquisitively.

Reading the note, she blinked and wrote: There will be no reparations. Alvonia will not pay for Milan's transgressions, and we will not extort anything out of them.

After Wilhelm read the note, he passed it under the table to Maria.

Finn leaned close to Karoline, holding his scotch close by, and switched to hushed German. "The %*$@ is this, fourth grade? What's with these people handing notes to each other?" Karoline sighed and responded "Quiet. The fate of our nation rests in their hands. Don't let yourself get too drunk, Mr. Powers." The two returned to their normal positions, where Karoline would state that neither of them had any questions.

Together with the notes, the glass of Pălincă would arrive. Worriedly, Maria read the notes, before sighing and emptying the 1/8 l tulip glass in one go. A bit regretful to waste such a good brandy like this, the Queen still felt it necessary. "Please excuse us, the coalition has discovered a slight problem that needs our attention. If our Alvonian guests require anything, feel free to ask the staff. I think that fellow there speaks German even." The Queen would point at one surprised servant, who did not know how to respond to the sudden honour of being mentioned.

"My dear allies, if you'd please follow.", Maria would open the door to the waiting room, where she hoped to settle this manner quickly.

Once outside and doors closed, Maria would start. "So, what to do with reparations?" Awaiting responses, Maria would wave some other servant, of which there were plenty, ordering another glass of Pălincă, of which there also was plenty.

*Prime Minister Beres would be surpised at an objection to such a relatively small amount.*

I am sure Alvonia makes at least 500 billion in taxes a year.  15 billion is hardly asking anything, and most of our capital, as well as yours, lies in utter ruins.  It will take months, if not years, for Budapest to fully recover.

*Beres sighs heavily*

However, if it would cause division amongst the coalition, Hugary-Slovakia will, very reluctantly, waive reparations.

Maria looked at the Prussians, a bit surprised. "Under what premises are we taking their land? I think if one of us has a bad conscience about 15 billion, they better take sleeping bills, or how will they get rest, knowing to have halved the Alvonians in terms of territory?"

Then the Queen of the Romanians turned to Beres. "Still, our terms to them, which we lined out were no concessions but territory. To add reperations of any kind at this point... I would say we should not bother over 15 billion. I would however understand that Hungary has been hit badly, so I would hope to see some inter-alliance aid agreement, where the rest of the Bloc assists Hungary in its reconstruction. While the Alvonians will most likely not be going to object to 15 billion in reparations, let's just stay with what we originally asked for, no?"

Because, incrediously enough, Milan's government completely abandoned their nation and let it collapse; there currently is no more Milan to hold accountable. They'd like you to believe that they were aliens from another planet and that they just left in their spaceships; however that is list some ludicrous propaganda. The fact remains though, that Milan's government has completely abandoned and left Milan, and nobody knows where they have went.

Very well, though, we will agree to stick to our original terms, since Our alliance partners have been so generous with their aid.

Our nation sincerely thanks our friends in Belarus, as well as any other nation that may send aid or otherwise help with Budapest's rebuilding efforts. It is all deeply appreciated.

"Good, now, let's go inside and finish this.", Maria said, clasping her hands, smiling, glad to see the matter settled.

Once the delegations had once again taken their places at the table, Maria would look over at the Alvonians. "Please excuse. There has been an urgent matter, but it has been settled now. I guess nothing has arisen in the meantime? Well then..." The Queen waved one other servant, who'd deliver a document, together with her ordered glass of plum brandy. While she kept the brandy, she would hand Dressler and Powers the document.

Treaty of Bucharest

Preamble

The states of Prussia, Belarus, Hungary-Slovakia, Romania (as a collective henceforth referred to as the coalition in the rest of this document) and Alvonia, have today come together to settle their dispute and agree to peace. As the coalition does not recognise Alvonia responsible for the Milanese nuclear activity, Alvonia is not to be punished for Milan's actions. However, the coalition still holds that its original casus belli holds true and thus takes a number of concessions from Alvonia, which are outlined in the remainder of the document.

Article I

The coalition and Alvonia agree to return to a state of peace. This will supersede the armistice agreement and shall permanently end the conflict between the coalition and Alvonia. Both sides are to return any and all prisoners of war.

Article II

Alvonia cedes the entirety of its Polish territories and its territory in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to the Kingdom of Prussia.

Article III

Alvonia cedes the Burgenland for reunion with Hungary-Slovakia.

Article IV

The coalition recognises an Alvonian claim on the territory of Südtirol-Trentino and will support the reunion of this territory with Alvonian Tirol.

Signatures

For Prussia,
