King Salvador d'Alberquerque was currently holding a conference with his beloved Greenlandic brothers in Novoporto. He was busy, but he was glad he had an exact clone of himself made. The King clone, incredibly handsome down to the littlest detail, boarded a special jetliner, where he would undertake a journey of love and faith to Cambodia. Upon arriving there, he would proceed to the meeting place where he would meet with Suvah.

"Well, the Khmer, my people, don't believe in the trading of human life. However, perhaps we could work out an employment arrangement for your soldiers that is beneficial to them and ourselves. As for our University system, it is open to anyone who can pass the testing requirements. Are there any special needs that your students need addressed in the areas of language that we can take care of to assist them?" Suvah asks.

Suvah has a second chair made ready for King's clone, though the genetic heritage of the said clone is not known to Suvah. He motions the gentleman in and says, "Hell sir, please be seated, would you care to indulge yourself in a refreshment? To your left you'll see Mr. Gubarcan Singh. He and I are discussing access to the New Cambodian University system."

Forget about the soldiers but my students are weak in your language but they can speak english and punjabi(there mother tongue)

"We do have a Foreign Language University in Siem Reip that might do nicely for them. It specializes in educating students in their degree areas in a second language modality. This gives them the confidence of interfacing with specialists in their field while using a foreign language. We offer engineering, medicine, education, social services, and of course foreign language degrees. Perhaps your nation could also add a few Punjabi language teachers to the staff, we are always looking to expand our offerings," Suvah replies.

The clone smiled as he took the seat, shaking hands. Seemingly, nobody noticed that he was a clone. "Yes, I would like whatever you serve. Shaken, not stirred. Thank you." He turned to Mr. Gubarcan Singh, and extended a hand in friendly greetings to Mr. Singh. "Hello, it is a honor to meet with you." He greeted with a friendly smile. "So, what is it about the New Cambodia University system you are discussing?" He inquired, turning to Suvah.

"Give the gentleman a vodka martini, shaken and not stirred. One for myself as well if you'd please," Suvah requests of his overworked and weedy looking assistant who he has named his good man Friday.

Friday walks away very quietly muttering, "Get me drinks Friday, wash my car Friday, execute the prisoners Friday.. set fire to the orphanage Friday.. blow up bus full of nuns Friday.. Friday never gets any sleep around here.. Friday always working.. Friday wants to go to Disneyland.." Despite his super silent complaining he promptly returns with the two vodka martinis and places one in front of Suvah and one in front of the King's Clone. Suvah's good man Friday then quietly returns to his spot in the corner where he is out of sight and mind until needed once again.

Suvah being of excellent hearing listens to Friday's silent rant with a look on his face that suggests he may well need to contact the Minister of Health and order a mental health assessment of Friday. He's torn though as Friday really is quite helpful and from time to time in his own demented way quite amusing and even brilliant. The time for that is later though, for now he focuses his attention back to his two guests.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Tobias Lund would travel to New Cambodia to meet with Prime Minister(?) Suvah. A young nation in the south east asian area would make a lucrative market for Norwegian and Danish companies. Plus there was talk of a New Cambodia university system.

As it was unclear to the Vicidalian state, wether it was a one-time offer or permanent, they picked the Cambodian offer up. Maybe something could be done there. And it may prove interesting to see a foreign nation. As all higher ups were already involved in some other matters of the state, the Vicomte de Vicidalia, Comte de Marguarite sent his underage daughter to meet Suvah. Josephine de Marguarite, about 11 years old, was escorted from her school to the plane and she had the joy of her first intercontinental flight.

Suvah looks across his desk at Ms. Josephine De Magaurite and decides that either he's the victim of an elaborate hoax or indeed of some Dr. Pepper for the young lady. He overcomes his surprise with a straight face and has a chair brought in for young Josephine and says, "Thank you for joining us ma'am. We are discussing the New Cambodian University system. Once this conversation is completed I'll be offering tours of the ancient Khmer ruins of Angkor Wat and a tour of our beach front resorts in which we have a variety of activities for all ages. Are you hungry or thirsty, just ask and my assistant Friday will attend to your needs."

Suvah has another chair brought into his room for Mr. Lund. He says, "Welcome sir, to your left is Gubarcan Singh, Ms. Josephine De Comte, and King Salvador d'Alberquerque. We are currently discussing the New Cambodian University system and foreign access to said system. Might I offer you a refreshment?"

The King clone raised an amused eyebrow as he saw the eleven year-old Ms. Josephine De Magaurite enter the room. He had an eleven year-old clone daughter named Josephine as well (who had a sister, also named Josephine). Was it concidence or what?

The clone would promptly greet the young Josephine and Tobias Lund, while sipping his shaken-but-not-stirred vodka martini. Ahh...that was some good !@#$. Similiar to what he shared with his mistress named Saturday on weekends, particularly Saturday nights.

"Oh, sounds nice." Josephine answered, openly showing her feelings of interest and surprise. One day, she too had to study at an university, Josephine thought. "Do they also teach in francais? And can I study slavistics?" Slightly hibbeling on her chair, it was again obvious, the topic catched her interest. "I'd love to study slavistic. And from what I saw in the plane, it is a beautiful country. At least the city is pretty big." Then she formed with her mouth an 'Oh' and after some search, she took a bottle of Vicidalian Vine out of her bag. "I also shall give this to you, as a sign of Vicidalias wishes for better relations." Then she removed a small notice with 'Do not drink. -Daddy' from the bottle and handed it over to Suvah.

"French yes, slavistics... I'm not entirely sure. I will ask the Dean of the University the next time I speak with him," Suvah replies as he examines the bottle of Vicidalian Vine. He motions to Friday to set out 3 glasses and to open the bottle with a few discrete hand gestures involving him pointing at Friday, pointing to the bottle, and holding up three fingers.

Suvah then looks back at Josephine De Comte and asks, "Would I be sparking an international incident if I let you have a small sip of this drink?"

Tobias seemed to feel rather out of place in the meeting. He had to turn down any alchole, due to being a man of considerable age. He also found the conversation hard to follow and would often drift off into his own thoughts about what his next meal would be, or when he would be able to have a nap. For now, he would simpily sit their quietly, mostly ignoring the other guests.

Josephine looked to her left and right, then relied. "If the others don't tell my father, it's ok. It is an excellent vine from the Vicidalian Highlands. A rosé from around the Vicidalia-Guyana border. Harvested in 1987, the year was one terrific year for the Vicidalian rosé in the Southern Half of the country." It was a bit questionable, why a girl her age knew about vine, but at least, she wasn't that sad at the possibility that slavistics may not be available.

"Very well, the drinking age in New Cambodia is nonexistent. We leave it to the individual to choose though strong encourage moderation at all ages. However, given your status I can only consent to one small beverage. Perhaps one day if you visit New Cambodia with your father you can more fully enjoy all the aspects of New Cambodian life," Suvah replies. He motions Friday to pour Josephine a very small portion of the Vine. Just enough to sample the beverage but not nearly enough to get her inebriated.

Drinking her glass of vine, it may not have been enough to make anyone drunk but the smallest toddler, however the lack of reaction shown by Josephines organism was stating clearly enough tat this may not have been her first glass of vine. Maybe the notice to not drink the content of the bottle may have stuck there for completely different reasons.

"Huaaah, such a great vine really lifts the spirits, doesn't it?", the underage 'diplomat' shouted. Getting more quiet again, Josephine then sat down and waited for the talk to end and the guided tour to begin.

Suvah notices the young lady's demeanor and he makes a snap decision. He pucks up his phone and calls the Minister of Internal affairs and requests that his 12 year old daughter Boumphi be made avaliable to squire Ms. Josephine De Comte about the town. Boumphi only too eager to be pulled out of school for such an event readily agrees and is quickly ushered to the Prime Minister's humble residence.

Suvah looks over at Ms. Josephine De Comte and says, "Ms. De Comte, perhaps you wouldn't mind departing early for the tour? I feel the rest of this discussion might not be of interest to you. The daughter of the Minister of Health has agreed to join you for the tour. You'll be given my personal car for the next day or two. Please try not to have too much fun."

"ahhhh" The girl was, as obvious as ever, happy to get away from boredom. Afterall, the old Scandinavian was also drinking, but by far not as talkative as the pot plant in the north-eastern corner of the room. Smiling, she jumped out of her seat said her good byes and left for the car, to not be seen again in the next few hours. And only God knows if Suvah had even only a hazy idea of the horrors that followed.

When Josephine entered the car, she noticed that there was a grave problem. Boumphi, though fluent in English and the local dialects, of whatever language it was, Josephine wouldn't even know, was daughter of the minister of the interior. It may not have occurred to them that she would ever meet the 11 year old Josephine de Marguarite, a girl that knew the language of diplomacy and was able to form it to fit any of her needs, but apart from French, she spoke only one thing: French. Sitting silent, they first communicated not at all, after two crossings, with vague gestures. As both were bored, Josephine pointed at the glass chessboard and so they started playing chess, a game both knew.

Arriving on the lavishly equipped (and quite well escorted, judging by the flight of F-35s watching over their charge like a pack of thirty-ton eagles) V-22 Empire One, and its four doppelganger aircraft, a small army of security types and diplomatic crew soon find themselves cruising up to the capitol building, and the Empress of the Northern Imperium soon finds herself outside the Prime Minister's office, Duke Anchorage in tow.

"Your Majesty, you really ought to have let me do this on my own. Given that we've not met with this nation before, and don't have the proper security in place..." Christian Kehenna, Duke Bethel, stated, trailing off towards the end. He wasn't impressed with his attempt to stifle the enthusiasm of the young Empress, and she wasn't particularly impressed by its' effect either.

"Christian, if you don't take a risk sometimes, you will never make many friends. And this is a perfect chance to make them. Or maybe some enemies. I've wanted to sic the First Mountain on some poor fool for a while now." Mara I, Empress of the Northern Imperium, and just newly turned 18, grinned at her Minister of Foreign Affairs and uncle. He had sat on her Regency Council since her father had passed away unexpectedly a few years before, and she had always held a special spot for the old curmudgeon in her heart. "And now, to the friend-making." she proclaimed, and knocked thrice on the wooden door of the Prime Minister of New Cambodia.
