1. The two leaders of the U.R.B. stood as the President of Paraguay was bid to sit down in one of the chairs along with his diplomatic team that'd arrived shortly beforehand. Grabbing a pitcher of water, Felicia passed them round the table before returning to her seat at the edge of the room. "Now.. Mr. Gomez, I'd like to start by showing you reports of the current situation in Copacabana:

You see, this is a photo of Copacabana after one week of continued shelling from locations inside of Peru. The U.R.B. civilian death count is.." General Cassio flipped the report page dissatisfiedly and sighed at the number "10% or roughly seventy thousand considered dead, or missing.. a national catastrophe of such an unprecedented scale. The official soldier tally is roughly 967 soldiers, 33 tank crews, and ~100 of the Guard Nationale. Of course these numbers will be altered before being shown beyond these doors." the sullen look on Cassio's face was the cue that Robles picked up and continued speaking. "Mr. Gomez, we aren't going to request intervention of outside military forces, however we would like to ask you to aid the Blue cross in saving the wounded that pour out of the region daily. We're also coming to tell you that our Promise to a Freeport city within the U.R.B. will be honored. When we'd managed to remove the presence of renegade forces in Peru, we will be designating Ilo as the Freeport city to be utilized as the Paraguayan naval base. However with the proximity that our countries and military organisations will share we ask that you open your mind to signing a treaty with the U.R.B. preferably one of Mutual Defense." Robles eased a second to let the gravity of the contrasting statements sink into the Paraguayan assembly.
2. Entry three: Cardinal Oleis The make-shift command center wasn't the best, that was for damn sure. Nor was the situation favorable in less than a week Yunguyo had fallen, along with the majority of the Puno territory. The U.R.B. forces were systematically destroying the white consul renegades, and Oleis knew that if they failed to hold them in Juliaca that Lima and Cusco would be their last bastions of strength. Even then "bastion of strength" meant a few hundred soldiers in cement defenses with limited arty' and heavy support. Oleis picked up his secure line and dialed to the frontline commanders of the white consuls', praying for Good news. Through the decoder he found his prayer answered. The sustained barrage of Copacabana had utterly destroyed nearly four companies as they disembarked to join to forward march. It wasn't as good as halting the advance altogether but it did deny the U.R.B. coalition its relief forces and eased the tension that was building within the ranks of the white consul army. The next battle was dawning and Oleis knew this would be one of the crucial moments in denying the false Government of the U.R.B. The men were in place, the largest host of white consuls' assembled ever, nearly three thousand soldiers sat in fortified positions and concrete bunkers in and around Juliaca. Armed to the teeth these bastards rose the flag of the white consul army high above Juliaca as an insult to the U.R.B. that no matter where they marched the white consuls' would die to the last opposing them. ---------- In the U.R.B. Camp the march hadn't slowed at all, city after city, village after village, town after town the U.R.B. Forces rooted out the white consuls with heavy losses. So much so that an additional detachment of the Army had to come as relief. Much to the dismay of the front-line loyalists, their reinforcements were snuffed out like candle light by sustained barrage from the far off arty' sites, controlled by the white consuls'. The only other feasible options were to send them by foot through Puno territory to hit Juliaca with a pincer, though this would leave the south coalition grossly undermanned. With no clear solutions to reinforcing the south coalition; the plan to use aerial assaults was drafted. Five F-22 Raptors would escort bombers to targets within Peru in the coming weeks. To minimize civilian casualties, the populace would be warned by pamphlets dropped by air into marked locations, those who fled north would be saved and relocated post war, those who stayed did so of their own choice. Originally the usage of bombers had been ousted by Cassio on day 1, who shunned the usage of such explosive force against anywhere civilians could be caught in the after effects. But this had come to that, and the reality of war was there would be civilian casualties. Copacabana, a U.R.B. city, had been shelled to oblivion, its civilian population culled 40% in one week despite the hasty evacuation. Now the gains outweighed the cost. To root out the white consuls, their bastions needed to break, their soldiers needed to rout, all their world had to fall around them for victory to be achievable.. Cassio knew this, and so with heavy heart, he authorized the usage of one of the weapons projects the Fac11 had completed, the MOAB-1, its destination Juliaca.
3. The meeting would take place in a large open conference room where the diplomatic teams from Paraguay and their President would sit around a circular table, a sign of camaraderie between the continental neighbors and close allies. Upon arrival Prime Minister Miguel Robles and General Cassio would sit at two of the thirteen seats. Their business papers ordered neatly on the great mahogany varnished table as they waited for the Paraguayan entourage to arrive to La Paz. Cassio looked at his uniform as he twiddled his thumbs back and forth "Clean pressed at least.." He stood up yawning, and walked casually over to his personal secretary, Felicia. She without looking up from her laptop handed him the latest report to the civil war. "I see.." stroking the gruff of his chin hair, Cassio set the file next to Robles who in turn sighed deeply. "Four.. hundred.. dead?" the question was met with a stony glare as Cassio sitting down in his chair, covered his eyes with the palms of his hands. The mumbled words were lost to his fists as he balled his hands slapping them into the table with a loud crack that startled Felicia from even the end of the conference room. "Do not stress brother.. The Paraguayans are near no?"
4. Puno isnt a city, its a territory/state/province in south eastern Peru
5. (ooc) General Cassio has assumed control of the United Republic of Bolivia. Ultimately this means The U.R.B. will transform into some distant form of a dictatorship with varying degrees of freedom. Not enough time to type it up this minutes
6. Please accept Alisa Guerrero as the diplomat to Paraguay. We'd also like to invite your president to La Paz to discuss the future implementation of our buisness deal.
7. Please rename Bolivia to United Republic of Bolivia. Please also mark Puno territory relevant rp: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?/topic/118175-bolivia-united/page-3 http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?/topic/118766-chasing-shadows/
8.

(semi-classified (unit tags, movements, captured territory etc.)) A classified satellite report into the known territory of the White Consul renegades, and the land captured by the 1st armored company, 3rd light infantry marine brigade, 1st heavy infantry army brigade, and the 3rd heavy artillery battery. As day 7 of the war dawns, a concerted push into Peru is being mustered. With the capture of Yunguyo from renegade forces, the artillery batteries in the near mountains are a skipping distance away. Little is known as to the next moves that will be taken by United Bolivia but all are certain this will be written down as the worst civil war in Bolivian History. Key: Blue: (Bolivian held) Red: (Renegade held) Green: (Contested) Pink: (Sighted Presence) Purple: (Reported Presence) White: (No presence)
9.

Current division of United Bolivia
10. Entry two: Sam Robles The victory was transmitted back to C&C at Tarija, an ambush in the forests surrounding Yunguyo had claimed twenty eight more United Bolivian lives, but had broken through a fortified area that had been heavily controlled by the renegades. The boys of the 3rd would be ordered to advance again, despite losses to capture Yunguyo from the renegade forces. A city that was heavily guarded by at least 20 armor pieces and gun nests. It wasn't a cakewalk, this would be a siege, the first in United Bolivian History. The command would come at 7:40 pm CST, from the General himself, who'd taken control of the theatre. He'd ordered two heavy artillery brigades and soldiers from the UBA, the 1st heavy infantry corps had been committed to this war. The renegades too had committed more men. As dissidents and political enemies of the General too fled to Peru, the White Consul army swelled, going from a few hundred to a few thousand within a fortnight. The situation was escalating to a cauldron of war that couldn't be evaded. The annexation of Peru would begin with each inch that would be born of fire and blood by the Armed Forces of United Bolivia. ---- The amber light pierced the jungle like arrows through mail, falling softly on Samuels face. Opening his eyes, the true devastation of war sank in. Burned out tanks and crumbling concrete nests dotted the ashen jungle. It was eerily silent when the orders came in from United Bolivia. They'd be reinforced by the Army, this wasn't going to be just a hunt as the General declared war on the renegades and the entirety of their reach. The muster took five minutes, and the soldiers of the 3rd were on the march again. Yunguyo only ten klicks out, was emblazoned with all the color of the sun. It was a glorious sight in one day, but the white consuls had perverted it into a seething hive of damnation. It was here that the crucible began, and the men knew it. Two days passed and silence sang its voided melodies. The men of the Army arrived without welcome, their big guns arrived the following hour. On the third day Yunguyo fell. What happened that day of fire is perhaps ingrained only in the memories of my brothers in arms. I know today that big guns never tire, and I know that many brothers in arms fell short of Yunguyo. However when the United Bolivian Colours flew over Yunguyo that evening, we knew that their deaths were not in vain. We buried them with their guns. Looking up from his journal Sergeant Lucena who stood hand outstretched to the young soldier. "Lord protects" thought Robles as he stood firmly grasping his Sergeant's hand. "So.." the word spoke an entire lifetime in the sullen look that passed between the two men. War had brought young soldiers together and made them men. "Yeah.. I know.." replied Lucena as he turned around to occupied Yunguyo surveying the utter obliteration that the army's siege batteries had caused. This was a step along the path to winning the war. "We've got orders Sarge'.." a small leaflet passed the bloodied dirty hands of the two soldiers, with a sigh of relief, Lucena's ashen face cracked a smile, showing his white teeth. He let off his gun, setting it down amongst the makeshift bedding and stretched. "You know what this means?.." the question was direct and honest, with a shrug of his shoulders Sarge pulled his Kevlar over his face mumbling from under the helmet. It means people can bend freedom six ways to sunday.
11. Chasing Shadows: Entry One: Sam Robles All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers - Francois Fenelon The night is no different. I still hear the screams of fathers as they search hopelessly for their dead children. I still see children walk aimlessly in the streets before they are obliterated before the falling heavens. I still feel the ache in my bones with every step I take. It has been mere hours yet my soul has been at war for years it seems. We've received our orders. We're moving forward. The initial five hour bombardment hadn't ceased when the order to advance was given. Thirty-three Type-4 tanks and 386 soldiers died in the first day of shelling. The remaining twelve battle tanks and 614 soldiers, counting wounded marched forwards towards their first target; Yunguyo. ---- "Sarge'" Leon was an ex-ganger, when the Church outlawed gangs, he found himself amidst a sea of nothingness. The gang was all he knew, that was until a recruitment officer asked him to stop by. From that point forward, he was a soldier. His gun made him feel at home, but death.. He'd never grown used to it. Dead brother after Dead brother saw Leon alone and here in the Marines, he'd found brothers again. No not of blood, but brothers in arms, he's sworn to himself he'd die for each and every one of them. He died fulfilling that promise. The sudden blurt of Machine guns hidden within the forest ended short the lives of Leon, Castor and Harmon. They never had a chance as their comrades were painted with the bodies of their fallen brothers. Samuel Robles didn't do what his training said, he didn't do what common sense said. He ran. Not away from the fight but to it, scooping up his fallen brothers, Sam pulled Leon into a ditch then he went back for Castor, and then Harmon. Hiding behind was cover they had purchased the surviving members of the squad firing blindly into the direction of their ambushers. The remainder of the 3rd joined in. It was seconds. Minutes? Time escaped Sam, as did any sense of the world around him, only his gun sight and the enemy existed. He eased his hand over the trigger. The hammer flew back three times, and a Machine Gun emplacement was silenced. He locked onto the next Machine Gun emplacement and fired controlled bursts, the first smacking into the trees, and the second going wide. His vision failed as a mortar hammered right behind him killing half a squad of brave young men in the blink of an eye. "MORTARS!" he screamed, blinded by dirt that had been kicked up into his eyes. The shells fell almost simultaneously with his cry, but were met with the cohesive firing of the 1st armored division who even through the falling mortar shells advanced. Their training had made them so aware of their surroundings that the tanks themselves were merely extensions of the crews' body, and their accuracy proved it. Shot after shot hammered into gun nest and mortar sites, proving the steele of the 1st while emboldening the boys of the 3rd who charged after their advancing armor. Seemingly invincible, they overran each and every enemy target. It was their first victory since the Ambush in Copacabana, and they reveled in it. When the dead of night came, the dead were counted and buried along the road. Marked only by their guns and helmets propped up as makeshift graves. Sam stood next to the Sergeant who knelt in front of the graves. " Twenty eight dead.." mumbled Sergeant Lucena as he picked up dirt and stones, casting them down. Rain began to fall as the weight that sat on the shoulders of the 3rd became more evident. Sam looked around to see bloodied boys, broken men and lost souls all. "Lord please.. Bring us home"
12. Forward: Phase 1 The armed forces landing in Peru would immediately begin disembarkation and move into the city limits. The process would follow relatively smoothly and within three hours over a thousand soldiers from the Marine Corps had landed in Copacabana cementing United Bolivia's grip. Though the landing proceeded as planned the continuance of Phase 1 was to take a horrible downhill slide. Two and one half hours after the invasion of Peru, the heavens fell in the fiery form of 155mm shells. Fired from Haubits FH-77 Artillery pieces far outside Copacabana, the explosive force punching craters in the once tropical paradise. Entirely no response could be made by the armed forces of United Bolivia due to the fact that such an armament had never been predicted. As the sky was ablaze with fires, it was in these dark hours that training snapped in and the soldiers of United Bolivia did all that could be commanded of them ten times over. Squads could be seen going back into the burning city to save civilians only to see the civilians returning, their Guardians missing or continuing to evacuate the city. Calls for aid to the United Bolivian C&C centers would ultimately be unanswered as White Consul forces would sieze AA emplacements near the Peruvian-Bolivian Border and threaten to fire should the beleaguered defenders in Copacabana receive support. For the time being the soldiers of the 3rd light infantry were pinned between the falling skies and a sea of madness. ----- For the first time in a long time he bowed his head to pray.. "Lord..?" he said with tears on his eyes. "I'm going to do right by these people.." unfolding his hands Sam looked out into the city, the fires burning high and screams echoed the blood stained streets. It was hell, he was sure of that. What sins he'd committed he couldn't remember, because even in war God loves all his sons equally. That was something his mother had always told him, "No matter what Samuel.. He loves you" and he carried it in his wallet to this day. He stood. The dust and grit that covered his face made his eyes shine all the brighter, the cold ice shards that pierced your mind. He swung the heavy comms set over his shoulder and walked to his squad as more shells impacted the city sending shockwaves through the earth. "Private Robles.. are the reinforcements on the way?" the question was simple, or was it an order? His mind was befuddled as he stammered out a reply to Sergeant Lucena, the broad shouldered brute who was, as they called them, a lifer. "I.. uh.. nyes.. Yes Sergeant." it wasn't a lie, and Sam knew that. But his heart knew it was a lie why would the General risk the safety of La Paz over the lives of his men. Cassio was not a soldier, he was a politician who wore a uniform and they were worlds' different. "Good.. How long?" another question? or a statement? It mattered not when another sleuth of words slipped from between his dry lips. The frown on the Sergeants face was evident that his reply wasn't a favorable one as the sergeant turned away along with the remainder of the squad. Lukas, Harmon, Castor, Leon, and Kristian. They were a band of misfits so to speak, ex gangers, thiefs, delinquents and drug users who'd escaped the life by signing up with their local recruitment offices where they met Samuel Robles, the runaway son of the President of United Bolivia. Together through boot camp the six boys became men together. Their first test though wouldn't be one of physical strength but one of devotion, loyalty, and selflessness as a simple hunt turned into a war against the Renegade Army.
13. At 2.30 pm CST the 1st armored company 3rd light infantry brigade rolled into Peru under the orders of General Cassio. Copacabana was the first city to be unofficially annexed by United Bolivia as the soldiers turned the once neutral territory into a fortified base camp, tanks dug in and soldiers patrolled the city asking for information on the fleeing cardinals, who as far as they had known had no following amongst neighboring states. But the reach of the Church is as far as its political reach, and it could only be expected that the corruption might've spread to Peru following the flight of the renegades. For now the turmoil in United Bolivia distracted its people from what plots and schemes would be unfolding in Peru in the very same hours of strife. With tourism shut down and the beaches closed by the Armed Forces of United Bolivia while more troops began to land in Copacabana. Due to the seeming lack of a military presence in Peru Copacabana had been begrudgingly given up to the superior army. While Copacabana had been utilized as a beachfront for entering Peru the renegade Cardinals were also hard at work rallying supporters. While they had none of the true military might of the United Armed Forces, they did still have the elements of the White Consuls who'd also fled with them. The exact number of the renegade force could only be speculated at four hundred with mixed degrees of weaponry. It could also be speculated that the renegade army would close to making its retaliation movements.
14. A letter would be sent to the office of Foreign Affairs; Republic of Madagascar, from the provisionary government head of state Ortan Cassio
15. (ooc: this is to figure out where I'm going to take United Bolivia eventually ending with the renaming of the country all together, votes are open for 72 hours.) Staying true to his word President Robles has opened polls for the people to choose their new government. Little is known about what the people will choose but the exiting administration is ever hopeful that the people will choose what will represent them and their attitudes best.
16. Progress in Unsteady times: United Bolivia Money makes the world go round as they say, and United Bolivia is none too short on their new currency, the Bolivar or Bv(s). With the Mint located in Santa Cruz De La Sierra, unveiling the coins en masse a statement was made today stating that the older currency would be cycled out at a 1000:1 ratio. state ran businesses and international trading partners would be the first to receive the new currency while other tertiary parties would receive the currency at later dates. Military Expansion Plans (semi-classified, censored for citizens and international parties) The United Bolivian Armed Forces are expected to expand to a standing total of 440,000 soldiers by the end of a three month period. Due to the recruitment offices constructed in key locations throughout the country, such an expansion is supposedly an easy transition. With the Subway being 40% built it remains to be seen how it can handle a massed march. Other news in Fac11 would be that bounding leaps had been made in the usage of polonium for weaponry, the most well noted would be the depleted polonium shells used by the new Type-4 battle tank in usage by the United Bolivian Armed Forces United Bolivia Church to Reform? With the execution of the previous Pope and the 3rd Bolivian Light Infantry Battalion in southern Peru to capture or eliminate the rogue Cardinals, a motion is set to be heard before the Supreme Court in United Bolivia to restore the Catholic church but without governmental power and limited reach. Such a motion is not without protesters nor is it without supporters. It remains to be seen whether or not the government would re-allow an organization which resulted in civilian and military deaths. Government to Reform? Following the wake in protests President Miguel Ganzado Robles has acceded to a partial government reform. He stated that, without a set destination, there would be nowhere that the government could lead its people. The military would step in for the time being, lead by General Ortan Cassio, while the Government reforms itself through popular elections.
17. Cutting the Corruption: United Bolivia Explosions rang out today in Sucre as the White Consul army attacked the Armed Forces of United Bolivia. This first infraction would ultimately be the last for the Church as armed soldiers escorted the Pope and his Cardinals to 'GRF's' hidden in isolated retreats within United Bolivia. President Robles made a statement from the burned out city block within Sucre mentioning his plan for the next few months. In a quote he stated these few things. "I plan to find the Cardinals which escaped into Peru and bring them to justice.. I can tell you from reports that the Eastern territories within United Bolivia are teetering on the brink of mass riots with the arrest of the Church officials, and my plan is to construct a wall that seperates the Western territories from the Eastern territories to keep the riots from spreading. We also have a plan to enforce the United Act more strictly inside the Eastern territory and vote new laws into place that will make such situations a capital offense." President Robles went on to say how he'd be sending troops into South Peru to root out the renegade Cardinals'; a task he said would be estimated from four to eight months due to the expansiveness of the territory in question. He also mentioned that the wall would have gates to enter the opposite sides of the country regardless of it representing an inner border. The construction plan would be a hefty sum as the sheer logistics of the project would require massive western workforces.
18. Cardinal Massacre: Tyranny of Robles (Church biased excerpt) What started as a pure ministry in the streets of Sucre, the diarchial capital controlled by the Church, erupted into a firefight when the Heretical soldiers of United Bolivia shot down a infirm elder cardinal and slew droves of innocent bystanders. This blatant heresy cannot be ignored by the Church. I call the White Consuls to take up arms against the Tyrrany that is the false man Miguél Ganzado Róbles, and have him judged under the United Act as a traitor to the people and a tyrant. This massacre will spark something that cannot be stopped, this I swear upon the church. ------- Reports from local news channels told sources from United Bolivia that after the radio broadcast the protests broke out into riots where citizens of Sucre rushed police lines. Live pictures show the situation unfolding
19. Fac11 reports state that AESA systems are being implemented as the final choice for the EMP systems around United Bolivia. With the capability of taking away any and all electronic guidance and mech. It will essentially create a haywire field over United Bolivia which would disable all aircraft while helping to lock on the HIMARS and other A-A batteries and emplacements. While the state of United Bolivia EMP warfare is formidable its defense consists of a reserve generator facility used to power the infrastructure post EMO.
20. United Bolivia: Official announcement The protests in Sucre are in continuiance even after a 11.01 am report from a local channel stating that three civilians were shot down in the middle of the streets during a fiery rhetoric of a local Cardinal, who was also killed in the brief firefight between the Police force and the civilian protesters. Very little is known about the situation at this moment and the government is refusing to release statements as to how many people were killed. Mayor Julia Résas was at the podium today stating her disappointment in the choices of the Police, who were allegedly ordered to open fire. The fiasco in Sucre is being dubbed the Cardinal Massacre, by some dissenters, found within the Church. The Pope has also yet to make a statement however it can be assumed that a stern response will follow. The white consuls, a private military employed by the Church have been sighted in three protests. In reaction the number and frequency of their appearance is increasing with every hammer statement levied against the official government by the Church. Needless to say, the Cardinal Massacre would only help to build the sympathizer base. The police force has been stepped up, local sources say, where originally 600 officers monitored 3,000 plus protesters, now a Gaurd National force has been implemented. Though the reasoning behind bringing squads of live fire weaponry is questionable, the risk may outweigh the gain in this, where we can now see sniper teams placed around the city heights and white consul fireteams patrolling the downtown streets of Sucre. More news on the Cardinal Massacre to follow.
21. With the end of the month drawing near, temporary flight codes would be encrypted to the Government of Paraguay and that of Mexico and any other American country wishing to attend the Bright Minds conference, for bypassing the armed aerial defense sites surrounding the country. Their acceptable flight patterns and diplomatic staffs would be brought into play, restricting what could be considered the acceptable in United Bolivia. The Tarija Joint Arms base would begin it's preparations in the foreign affairs block of the base, which could be likened more to a city rather than a base. As it had its own airport/base, military residencies, and infrastructure it would definitely be large enough to host a conference between the Science guilds within the Americas.
22. "United Bolivia would like to purchase the OHR for installation along the United Bolivian Border and along the wall. We also would invite you and your lead scientists to a Bright Minds Conference at Tarija Joint Military base at the end of the Month."
