  1. Borneo Today: Draft becomes common ground. Following the four rebel ctites and their seccession from the Republic, Chief Princeps Wahir has called an emergency tithe, which would mean 47,000 more soldiers be drafted into the Republic Army for a grand total of 330,000 soldiers. These new soldiers have been immediately sent to reinforce the surrounding cities near Pontianak, should the rebels take root else where. The new soldiers are to be armed with the standard AK-47, and Minebea machine pistol.

Borneo Today: Open Rebellion and Declaration of Secession Sent via handwritten letter out of Kuching the rebels are demanding that if the Republics' reclamation force enters the city they will execute the Sub-Princeps publicly. In singkawang, pemangkat and sambas, violent protests have turned to open rebellion as well. The seizure of the Sambas Military base has supplied the rebels with weapons and military vehicles. Numbering nearly ten thousand rebels, the north western tip of the Republic has gone silent. Kamkar Bansa has not been seen since the radio silence that hit Kuching. As ordered by Chief Pinceps Wahir, the entirety of the Military within the republic has been placed on high alert. The reclamation force has been increased to thirty thousand soldiers and has been ordered to dig into surrounding cities. No shots have been fired from the Government however a standoff is ensuing while the trained soldiers of the Borneo-Sumat Federation eye up their untrained rebel enemies. Pontianak the sight of the Republic's nuclear power program has turned into a fully militarized zone, as barbed wire and defences have been put together in case of an attack from Singkawang.

Borneo Today: Violence ensues Following the first draft where nearly three-hundred thousand soldiers were pressed into service the protests in Kuching have turned from smoldering dissenters into raging fires of rioters. Led by Kamkar Bansa, the young college student, the rioters began throwing makeshift bombs at government installations in Kuching. The police force unable to control the sudden violence has been pushed back as the rioters have seized control of the city, Kuching, taking the sub-princeps George Bahman hostage along with a number of other government officials. No demands have come out of Kuching as the city has become entirely silent. A reclamation force is being drawn up to go back into Kuching, and reclaim the territory of the Republic. Other cities which are subject to protests are being watch even more closely as the situation has grown out of control. This is the Borneo Today channel 3 news team.

(OOCVotes for the senate/house and High court are opening for 96 hours)(Everyone may need to reset their votes) The Federal Republic of Borneo-Sumat In a strong vote by the people of Borneo the Borneo-Sumat Federation has been succeeded by the Federal Republic of Borneo-Sumat. Chief Princeps Wahir has remained in power and as his first act of power has called for an immediate vote for the formation of a senate and a house of representatives. The populace of the Republic is now being allowed to cast votes for their particular parties of interest. Court houses in every territory and major city are being established and a joint building for the Senate and House of Representatives is also being commissioned in the Capitol city of Sibu. Chief Princeps Wahir is urging citizens to go out and vote quickly!
  7. (OOC; I'll just jump to us landing) The flight to Tanzania was quite long spanning nearly 13 hours. Chief Princeps Wahir had pulled the blinds over his window, falling asleep almost suddenly. Within what felt as minutes the captain was confirming the lz airstrip in Tanzania. The Chief Princeps stood hastily as the bay opened up flooding the dim lit jet with blaring sunlight that caressed the skin. A welcoming party was waiting for the CP, and adjutant Topacio when they had made footfall. Covering his eyes from the bright rays of light Wahir walked up to the welcoming party and outstretched his free hand with a beaming smile. His dark slicked hair was nearly entirely incandescent in the Tanzanian sun. " Hello! I'm Chief Princeps Wahir of the Borneo-Sumat Federation... This is my adjutant Susilo Topacio. Do you want to move out of the sun at all? "

  11. Borneo Today: Mandatory service After the government legislature passed the Military Mandate act calling for a two year service, outrage has been sparked in some parts of the federation. A strong police force has been armed with riot gear and placed in cities all around the country. No news of fullscale rioting has been reported, but the Borneo Today news team for channel 3 has been dispatched to follow the protestors. One individual, Kamkar Bansa, a college student at the National Borneo University, has been fervently outspoken on the Mandate which will be affecting college students as well as High School students. Sansar Topacio, regional governor of the Sibu sector commented today on the mandate that was handed down by his cousin Adjutant Susilo Topacio, "I personally support any decision made by high court as they have the best interests of the federation at heart."

  13. Public: Forming the Federal Research Initiative. Announced today will be the Federal Research Initiative (FRI), designed to setup numerous research facilities across the globe in efforts of studying terran and marine biospheres. A 13 Billion dollar project has been started to build 6 research submarines and bases throughout the Federation. Buoys will be launched into the econonmic zone water of the Federation so as to monitor the waters better for tsunami's and irregularities in water displacement. The head official of the FRI, Jameson Mokhiya has already plotted out several sections of ocean bed the FRI wishes to search for in hopes of finding drillable oil beds. -

  17. OOC) Thank you for contributing to the formation of the Government. Yes, by the way, the absolute republic would be a presidential dictatorship, as to the "vagueness" of a democracy, I do not come from a democratic country, so when I had this as an option I assumed that folks would have a better understanding than I. As to your second point, the separation of powers is only skewed for absolute governments giving one branch more power than the next. The regular governments however would still maintain the balance and checks needed.
  18. Wahir stood wide eyed and smiling with a hand out stretched to President Foster. "My good man. The Federation will stand by the side of Zambia as well. All technology we are capable of producing whether military or civilian use will be shared with Zambia as well. This is the beginning of a long friendship I see. To our friends in far places!" Wahir said as he raised his glass to the President in sincerity. This treaty would secure a great ally for the Federation, and opening the trade to a realm of undisputed possibilities. It would be the best move for the two young countries to make.

" Well Mr. President, I can assure you that we are willing to work out any logistics issues in efforts to tie this knot between our great nations. All we truly ask is that you are willing to as well so we may proceed with this treaty and move forward together." The cooling air inside the Zambian Embassy was a relief from the blistering heat of Borneo sun that had set a few short hours ago. "Regardless, we are willing to do whatever necessary to make this move for our nations."
  20. The Chief princeps smiled lightly at Mr. Batau's words and a recess was called to reconvene shortly after the overly large Zambian president waddled into the meeting room sitting onto a chair. "Mr. President, as you may have heard. The Borneo-Sumat Federation wishes to sign a MDP with your country. In doing so, we could together be stronger than apart. We have recently gone to the mandatory service principle for our nation and dismissed the standing military down to a policing force. Yet in times of need we can boast a fighting strength of three hundred thousand. We believe that our nations should sign together so as to further our aims and bring a sense of assuredness to both our nations that we are at each others sides come hell or high water." The chief princeps lifted up his water glass and sipped on it as orderly servants walked around the meeting room refilling water and catering meals to the officials.

Formation of the Borneo-Sumat Gov't The Borneo-Sumat Federation is now preparing to start it's formation of Gov't, the High Court whether replaced by another form of Gov't will have a number of it's officials placed into power due to their experience. The head of the Gov't will be Abdurrahmam Wahir also in addition to the new formation of a gov't. A centralized news station is being set up in the capital of Sibu, in addition to the Nuclear Power Program. OOC) Up for 48 hours starting at midnight.
  22. As the High court walked in the room, speaker Oswald stood in respect. "Good day gentlemen." said the first of nine men, looking at the two ministers in the room as the rest of the high court filed in around and took seats. They all pulled out laptops and began typing furiously at the keyboards bar the one who had spoken. "My name is Abdurraham Wahir, Chief Princeps to the High Court. We would like to discuss a MDP with Zambia and with Mexico when their government has been set up completely."

To: Zambian Federal Republic From: High Courts of Borneo-Sumat Federation Subject:Treaties The Federation would like to extend the option to open talks for a MDP with the Federal Republic of Zambia. Our Adjutants' Mr. Harvey and Mr. Oswald have been informed of our wish to support this type of move and will be given note to proceed with such talks at the Sibu confrences should the F.R.Z. choose to do so.
