  1. So no real reason for Cudi? The man can sing and rap like no other. He also hums and harmonizes on a lot of tracks without being credited. Cudi was blessed with amazing vocals and a penchant to strive for being himself. And you talk about whack MCs not having lyrics... I figured it'd be at least Wale. Meek has a good flow and a different perspective on trapping, but he's just another trap rapper when you get down to it.

I'm not against Shady because he had some irrelevant ass disses, I'm against Shady because he's the go-to "white rapper" that has a top 5 spot from everyone because of his first two albums. Royce propped him him up for Hell: The Sequel. Eminem is not as good as he was pre-Encore, and he never will be. He fell off. Get over it. He's had one song worthy of a top 20 artist in five years, and Cinderella Man wasn't even that good. Say whatever you want, but Ye is still innovating his production, and Cudi is branching out his talent. Eminem is in the Dre Zone of developing his money via other artists. He has not been relevant to me as a rapper in nearly a decade.

And for the record, he made a quick rebuttal to himself in "Talkin To Myself" so guess who won? He knew better than to war with Kanye and GOOD Music. He knew he would have to call in Slaughterhouse (who are honestly great lyricists and spitters) to back him up if West responded, and it would have embarrassed him.

Kanye West is not as lyrical and produces mediocrity. He does not put any effort to compose anything original. The only originality from that whack MC is his fashion trend. The dude talks about being real and hard as he raps in a skirt. Anything Yeezy is featured on, he automatically kills the track (Forever, Watch the Throne album, coff coff). If Yeezy is so H.A.M when compared to Eminem, I would like to hear your opinion about who had the better verse in Forever (only song Kanye and Em were both in).

As for Kid Cudi, he does not have a good singing voice. If anything I've heard from him, it is that his music is annoying, period. If you can redirect me to a song that you believe is the best from Cudi, maybe my opinion will change if it is for my taste.

Wale is meh, if you listen to "I'm A Boss" or "Traumatized", his lyricism and flow is amazing.

As for Eminem "falling off" after Eminem Show, Imma throw five 2009 and above Eminem songs/verses and let you be the judge:

    Almost Famous

    Drop the World

    Despicable Freestyle

    No Love

    All She Wrote (Solo Version)

I also see you only saying Cinderella Man was a bad song, from all the songs I've listed in my previous post. :D

As for Eminem rebutting from the beef, he said in Not Afraid no more "beef flingers" for the sake of his daughters since he already had experience with that, and his last beef with Murder Inc got his best friend killed, massive paparrazi chasing over him, and ruining the childhood of his daughters. He, then, apologized for the disses in No Love and subliminal burns in Not Afraid and Seduction so he would prevent anything like that from happening. All rappers mentioned in Talkin to Myself were subliminally/directly dissed in Recovery (along with Drake in Eminem's Despicable Freestyle). He took down and destroyed the careers of all of the Murder Inc roster, DJ Lethal, Vanilla Ice, Everlast, Limp Bizkit and obliterated the business of the Source, all on his own. If Shady could do something like that, why the hell would he be scared of a skirt-wearing, chipmunk-voiced punk who fails at trying to go Makaveli on us.

  2. Fair enough. If he drops another Eminem Show I'll give him his due credit.

That is why he produced Recovery and Hell: the Sequel.

    Why do you say that

Because I see no talent in both "artists". Sure, Yeezy might be a decent producer, but his skills as an emcee is really treacherous to hear and see. His lyrics are plain, delivery is plain, EVERYTHING IS PLAIN! Only verse I respected from him was in Run This Town. And his voice sounds like a freaking Alvin and the Chipmunk!

Is there any real reason or are you just gonna fling !@#$ here

also lol leaving MMG out of there.

I left out MMG since Meek Millz is signed there.

Jay, maybe. Eminem doesn't have quite the global stature of Kanye, iirc, and is also past his prime by far - as Kanye just had his best album only three years ago.

Really? I would like to hear your opinion in who had the better verse in "Forever" since that is the only song both Eminem and Kanye were on. And just a heads up, I believe you are pissy against Shady because he directly and subliminally dissed Yeezy in Forever and No Love as Em's right-hand man (Royce 5'9) burned Mr. West in Above the Law. I can just throw out ten Eminem lines and prove you that they are better than anything Yeezy spit.

Speaking of Em, there's a snippet of a song he did for Tony Touch's album on YouTube. Called "Symphony in H", apparently the whole song just premiered on Shade 45 or something. Sorta have mixed thoughts on the snippet.

Skits and Freestyles does not make me laugh often, but this line made me cough out a smirk.

"Hockey, !@#$ thought I had the place flowing

I hate to put you on ice but

You already had 3 periods in 60 minutes, great going"

I don't think Eminem has a lower stature than Kanye, you have to remember he's the highest selling artist in the history Rap, and the only mainstream album he had that didn't peak at #1 was the Slim Shady LP which peaked at #2. As for past his prime, I don't know if he truly is or isn't, if the next album is like Encore, Relapse, or even Recovery then he is past his prime. If it's like the Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, or even Hell: The Sequel then he's still in his prime. This next album will be very interesting as far as content goes, I mean what does he have left to say? He can't really repeat what he did on Relapse or Recovery. Will it be a reflection on his career like his features on Our House by Slaughterhouse and My Life by 50 Cent were, and signal a move to a position like Dr. Dre is in now, trying to help others build their career and producing? As far as numbers go, I say it will probably be about the same as Kanye and Jay's albums though.

In an honest perspective, I always become fed up when people say Recovery's didn't have the tracks to set as equal or more than his old stuff. Not Afraid, 25 to Life, No Love, Seduction, Almost Famous, Wont Back Down, Going Through Changes, Space Bound, Cinderella Man, Love the Way You Lie, and Session One were all great songs. From his recent freestyle, I assume that we will see the same content in Hell:the Sequel

  3. What? Being an adult is more of a pain in the ass than being a kid or a teenager? That is absolute !@#$%^&*! All you have worry about, as an adult, is labor and the bills, that is it! Teenagers have to worry about schoolwork, blending in society, the absolute headaches your own peers and your own parents causes, being commanded upon, seen and viewed as unimportant. If you are an adult raising children, then that is a different story, but if not, then I see no struggle to be an adult.

  4. Good luck with that >.>

Then I would like to hear (or in this case, read) what excellency is ,authored by you, if it is such mediocrity. Give me an example what a great poem is, from your own pen and paper, if you believe you can do better, so I can step my game up.

    Or...

You can provide constructive criticism since I welcome it with open arms so I can improve as a writer.

  5. Wait. Why are you posting these lyrics here? Why are you posting sound-based music on a forum about some online game when you just you could just as easily post them on say, YOUTUBE, the place this kind of stuff is actually meant to go?

That is because maybe I do not have the proper sound equipment to astound the audience and am still underage to participate in America's labor force since I do not want my parents wasting money on such hobby that I may or may not lose interest?

And if you do not know, this is a blog, not a thread in the forums. If what you say is true, then I believe the Water Cooler (aka, the Spam/Game-OOC Forums) and our usage of IRC is uncalled for. Diversity brings interest in the community, Darkstorm, it does not bring pointlessness as your accusing of this blog (and many others) being.

  6. Dizzy is unique if nothing else. I can't be bothered to dissect the rest at the moment, but listen to Dizzy go in on Young Jedi by Logic. He's more like Wale, he sneaks high-quality bars in under the guise of swag rap. I mean, people thought Wale's Chain Music was really about his !@#$@#$ chains.

Really? Young Jedi was a horrible track lyrically. The instrumental and flow of Logic went H.A.M, but Dizzy Wright ruined this track. I heard his lyrics various, various, various, and various of times, went to rap genius, I saw nothing genuine nor creative in Dizzy's verse. Logic had an awesome flow, but his lyricism flopped all over the place.

Not to mention that Logic sees himself as Goku and Darth Vader's heavy breathing is used in this track, noting that this track is ironically titled "Young Jedi".

That track was nothing but a failed attempt of a song to catch the eye of the mainstream.

  7. He's actually pretty good, and he raps about serious topics. Unlike most of the rappers of today.

Yes, but the countless amounts of hypocrisy this Hopsin guy has committed proves that he isn't as real as he says he is:

    1. "A real !@#$%* dont brag about being real as long as he knows it"

I strongly agree with this belief Hopsin has said in Ill Mind 5, but if you dont follow what you say, dont say it at all.

"I'm Hopsin, I spit !@#$ so unfair and real."

"I been told you !@#$%*, Im real"

    2. Ill Mind 5

I do endorse the overall subject Hopsin emphasizes in this song, with the topic being that sex and drugs are immature and overused topics to discuss in the rap game, but he is also emphasizing another topic. He is claiming that sex and drugs are immature topics to rap about, but not rape, murder, and violence? So in Ill Mind 5, he subliminally says that he'd rather see a bunch of guys who have been bullied upon rape victims and harass innocents than a bunch of swaggots (swag + !@#$%^) getting high and drinking booze from what he's been putting out lately. Is that about right?

Not to mention he got arrested 3 months after Ill Mind 5.

    3. Doo Doo Pants

Joke or not joke, he isn't supposed to be releasing this type of music after Ill Mind 5. How can one make one song, and mention in various tracks and interviews, that sex and drugs are stupid topics to rap about and he who raps about it is whack and poisoning the souls of many, but then he comes up with this !@#$%^&* and goes back on his word? And even though if it was a joke, he dissed many many many rappers because of producing this type of music. As he said that rapping about sex, drugs, and money injects venom to a kid's/teenagers mind, why would he be doing that same exact thing he criticizes many rappers for doing?

    4. Signing Dizzy Wright

Dizzy promotes the usage of marijuana and raps about that, along with sexual intercourse, in his songs. If Hopsin was so underground and was against mainstream, why would he sign a rapper that endorses the same products Hopsin despises.

    5. Funk Volume

Hopsin has claimed that he isn't in the rap game for the fame and fortune, he's in it because he thinks he's the savior and believes he's been granted a power that can help the world. But as he is saying that, he also says that he despises what Funk Volume has become, wants out of the rap game, but he cant since there is too much money involved. Okay, so if he isnt in the game for the dough, wouldn't he be giving out his tracks for free and simply walk away from the moolah? Hopsin, you say your n sell-out, claim your not in it for the money, yet you hate what FUnk Volume has become and deny to walk away since your eyes and greed is stuck at the view of the stack of stache in your mom's basement?!

And to sum it all up, here is one song from the Jokerr that pretty much sums up this entry in under 5-6 minutes. Enjoy!

  8. I don't think there is any song that really defines my life. Trying to define anyones life in three or four minutes is going to be impossible. Understanding my own life needs a song that combines a fondness of scrabble, being tormented by strippers and the spiraling sadness that despite 4 years of university during which I had to write many essays on key issues of the day, I am still flummoxed by the question "why are you suitable for this job?"

Anyone got a song for that?

You can make one that talks about that topic..

  9. 1.

If you only get one contract offer, then you have to deal with what you can. Ultimately, Funk Volume could have offered him less money and more freedom, or a larger cut in any tour sales.

    4. Eminem has taken small pieces from other styles that you might not notice until you look deeper. Intentional or not, everyone bites. Hell, Kanye has made a living off a producing style where multiple samples appear on most tracks, only a lot are tweaked to the point you don't actually pick up on them being direct samples.

    5. I'm saying that rapping about violence in a grotesque, humorous way is akin to how Lil B raps. It isn't promotion, it's parody. A lot of horrorcore is serious, but you can tell from his interviews that Hopsin is a smart guy who's just having fun with his raps and making fun of the !@#$ he doesn't like.

    5. I know, but that is different. I am not seeing Lil B making one song dedicating in youth redemption and seriously considering preaching as a career as Hopsin is doing as we speak. It is ludicrous in dissing mainstream rappers because of their immature topics, yet Hopsin picks the topic that is the most crucial and pointless of them all to talk about unless it is rap battle: violence, murder and rape. I know Hop wouldn't seriously do all those things he claims he did/does in Raw, but there are some people that need that extra push to motivate them to act that way since music reaches a closer connection to a person better than anything else, and if it doesn't, it gets them thinking about that. I listened to the Marshall Mathers LP Album as a whole, and as I was hearing the LP there was a random thought of me raping some chick in my class that was sexy as $%&@, and that was when I was like "Woah" and just avoided that kind of music for a good week or so.

  10. 1. Please Dont Be A !@#$%* and Dont Disrespect the Wife of One of the Greatest (And Sadly Deceased) MCs of the 90s, Pay Respect

Let's be real, if this was true, you'd also have to say the same for Game's whack ass responding to Eazy's whack ass son. Eazy's wife pissed Hopsin off, and it isn't like there was no reason.

    2. Hopsin Is A Coward

Actually, he just wants everyone's name in his mouth. And he's doing a good ass job of it.

    3. White Contacts

Your comment here is dull as every rapper has bit off other rappers.

    4. Do You Expect To Go Harder Than Eminem By Copying His Style?

Again, Eminem does not have a unique style. He is viewed that way because he's the first white guy to rap that way.

    5. Hypocrisy

Next you're going to tell me Lil B has a horrible flow and annoying voice. You can say parody isa bad way to counter something, but Bioshock was a great portrayal of how libertarians work.

    I hate repeating myself:

    1.

Out of all the songs of his favorite rappers that were Anti-Ruthless and Eazy-E's trait of thought in departing from Ruthless, why in the flying $%&@ did he sign to $%&@in Ruthless in the first place!? If he was so intellectual as he claims he is, why didn't he read the contract, look at the amount he was going to be payed, instead of just signing in to the contract and complaining about the paycheck when you were informed on the spot. And Hop, dont complain how life is a !@#$%*, you diss rappers for no reason.

    4. I admit Eminem kind of bit off of 2Pac in the Eminem Show and Masta Ace in Infinite and partly Slim Shady LP, but I saw originality in Marshall Mathers LP (and Recovery, and Hell the Sequel, but that's irrelevant), and that is the album where Raw mostly bit off of Eminem. The dude should just grow some balls, stop being lazy, and invent his own identity; present something to the hip-hop world, something rap never experienced.

    5. I mean this at the deepest respect possible, but I dont know how that comment is relevant with Hop being a hypocrite.

  11. My least favourite album of his, seemed to focus too much on the (pop)ular side of the industry which left the "oldskool" fans confused on his change of style.

I believe you are confusing the Eminem Show with Recovery. As it has been titled as overrated and too mainstream, I believe Recovery was one of the best albums lyrically if we exclude the instrumentals, but I will go in more depth in its content and author a review soon enough.

We believe every member is valuable, thus forming the General Assembly which decides the fate of the alliance, not a group of people. 13. Rude. No one is taking your opinion in the ass. You're just offended that I don't agree with your hollowed system of evaluation, so please, calm yourself sir. First off, I did read your previous blog. Secondly, I'm a big Eminem fan and I did love the Re-Up; you're being overly defensive, and again, rude.

    Good night.

No, I think you missed the point, where Eminem said in an interview the whole album was basically just a cut-and-paste. Your ratings and critiquing are a joke since you have set no actual standards. Definitely never going to bother reading a single one of these again.

    Good day.

This was not rude? If one reples a rude remark to me, chances are I will reply one back as well. Do you want me to ultimately praise your opinion and hail that your belief is fact? This is my opinion and my opinion solely, if you have a problem with it, then go cry and mourn for your loss in your own room and shed tears with the pillow if you desire. I never said it was the best album ever, I didn't give it a 10, a 9.5, a 9, nor a 8.5, I gave it a 8 since there were some tracks that bored me but the tracks that got a 9 or a 10 outweighed those.

  14. But, if you don't make the rating system relative, you will give mediocre to decent albums high ratings, like what happened here. This album was maybe top 15 the year it came out, at best. You've rated it as if it were top 5-8 material.

If I thought the album itself, without mentioning or even looking at any albums that came out in 06, was great, then I would give it a great review. Of course, it would receive greater feedback than it should receive, but how can you compare this album to those that came out in 2006 since this was the only rap- record-label-wide album that I know about.

No, I think you missed the point, where Eminem said in an interview the whole album was basically just a cut-and-paste. Your ratings and critiquing are a joke since you have set no actual standards. Definitely never going to bother reading a single one of these again.

    Good day.

I never said the album traveled a place where no one else in the rap world has gone to, I just said that this was a great album. And I believe that you did not read the Intro 2 Umate Entry of this blog...

If you are a fan of YMCMB/Keef/OFWGATA/Taylor Gang/MMG/Funk Volume, a !@#$%, a coward, a sensitive freak, or a guy who takes one's opinion as an insult, leave now! I am just expressing my honest opinion and in no way it is my intention to insult any reader that is not that artist I am insulting.
If you want to take my opinion so much in the ass and decide to not read these entries anymore, go right ahead, I will not be crying, grieving, and mourning over an arrogant punk who does not respect another's opinion. And if you believe this album sucked ass, check out You Dont Know, The Re-Up, Public Enemy Number One, Cry Now, and No Apologies; all tracks provided great lyricism that went H.A.M on the instrumental.
  15. You can make the ratings based on only the album, but that kinda ruins the whole rating system. Everything is relative.

And when you hear a really whack song, it just puts it in your brain that the artist is gonna be whack. I know that that isn't the case with a good bit of Re-Up, but that one line does carry weight in the back of my mind when I'm listening.

It does not defeat the purpose, it just creates justice to the ratings system. It won't be fair to compare an album to another when the rating is about that album itself. And I agree that the line was uncalled for, but every rapper has their times when their lyricism flips a bit.

  16. ^Just check what Neo said.

If you can give some of those tracks a 10/10, I don't understand what you would rate "Hurt me Soul" by Lupe Fiasco. The punchlines themselves were childish along with a lot of the rhymes, even in Public Enemy No1. As for the beats, they were mimicking classic Aftermath. Go listen to Get Rich or Die Trying, and then go listen to this album, or even 2001. Nothing new or inventive. It was a little experiment, that's it, on recylced materials.

I am analyzing this album by its production solely. If I were to compare this album to King or Fishscale, then that would be a whole different analysis of the album.

tbh when the guy says "If you don't agree, drink my pee" on the second track it makes me not even want to continue. That's Lil Wayne level immature punchlines

Yeah, I don't let one line or song ruin the whole album for me.
