I've never understood the "tech raid" defense of anyone. War is war. This a nation simulator. If a nation attacks another nation, they have declared war on that nation, whether unannounced, announced as war, announced as tech raid, or announced as "for the cookies". Any way you slice it, it's war. Doesn't matter if it's unprovoked, justified or not, or anything else. An attack by one nation against another is an act of war. There should be no argument. That being said, I'm only seeking to make a point. I have no interest in this conflict or seek to take sides with one or the other. Just stating the obvious fact which so many appear to be confused about and have argued long enough that their judgment has become clouded. The only difference in war against an unaligned nation and that of one in an alliance is that the one in the alliance is better suited to defend themselves and receive aid (monetarily or militarily) in doing so.

Truth is, there is only so much any alliance can offer in this game. We are all limited by the game structure, itself. Nation protection and growth development are key components of any alliance worthy of its salt. These are vital to the strength of it's core. You seem to be more focused on community and there are many alliances with active communities and good people who are also involved in the politics and war of the game. Hopefully, you'll find the one that suits you. Just remember that it's the people that make the alliance, so as a joining member, you have to be willing to do your part as well in order to strengthen the community. Honestly, I feel like we should have less recruitment and more new nations proving their worth before acceptance. Of course, that's not a realistic expectation in a game with declining numbers.
