1. In timmy's case there are tons of IC motivations.
2.
Deleted for the sake of EM
Well, granite, I honestly did nothing wrong. There's no need to get so angry over this. I was merely scolding David for ebing a slimy weasle.
3. That's such a ridiculous typo you're pointing out... In fact, I've lost complete respect for you. I told Timmy the people getting nuked would try to stretch the rules to get out of a nuking, and as such I was right.
4.
Oh noes, God forbid that the almighty Fizzy is forced to use his brain other than a Neanderthal-like "Ugg smash" mentality to get ahead in this world. It may force him to stop making his snarky remarks every 12 seconds!
That would be tragic.
5. I could argue further, but Timmy didn't really post the path of the missiles, so I won't. It would be useless.
6. The advancing army would have heavy resistance on their way to any cities in Algeria, but in Morocco and Western Sahara, most fights were merely small skirmishes of trapped soldiers attempting to escape. After searching through the reserves, the rogue generals were able to call up some 100,000 more men, bringing the army up to 250,000 soldiers. OoC: Sorry for these short bursts of sentences,
7.
Timmy said "off the coast". This, to me, is interpreted as meaning close to the coast due to the vagueness of the wording. Further, the eastern-most part of Quebec is further east than Nova Scotia, meaning they still would pass over and have an opportunity to be shot down.
If it was shot "off the coast", then it would most likely fly right over Nova Scotia and not even touch you. Take a look at this wonderful line-spammy map I made in microsoft paint. Black lines are ones that would not hit you. Yellow are ones that would. In all probability, your SDI would not cover the area of these lines. Unless he launches them from that TINY bay right next to your nation, or makes them widly curve upwards so they fly right above you, both of which are extremely unlikely and just horrible assumptions, then you couldn't take them down. period. I deserve applause for my beautiful map, which took me all of five minutes and a ton of line spam to make. It still gets the point across. (Apologies for it being so large.)
8. OoC: I launched a couple dozen, not 20. I'll let it slide though. I told you I launched around some 100 aircraft. Read more nextime. IC: The PAK-FA pilots were undertrained and very confused, casuing for hevay casaulties. 12 planes were knocked out of the sky, with 4 pilots being killed. 14 other planes were damaged. The SAM sites caused even more grief, and the planes were forced to retreat and scramble around safe zones, with a total of 21 total lost planes.
9.
Requesting SDI rolls for every missile launched. All, by my calculations, would have to pass over some part of Quebec. Given the recent ruling about SDIs over protectorates, I'd like to request a roll for each missile passing over my territory. Thank you.
President David's wouldn't require an SDI role, considering neither him nor Zoot has a SDI.
10. OoC: Okay, so once you take damages I'll take my own air force damages. Your SAM sites will be quite deadly.
11. OoC: I will use the J-20. As for ships: Colossus Class for aircraft carriers, the Bismarck Battleship, and the rest of the ships I shall post later. I'm lazy. IC: Okan Ebhar sat near the communication center of the head ship of the fleet, the ONS Pillar, an aircaft carrier. He was reading a novel as to pass the time away, silently praying his ship would not be targeted. Halfway through his book, Admiral John Frey, a man with his roots in Alvonia, stepped towards Okan. "Commodore Ebhar, radio the Eastern Federation that we are here. A man on patrol spotted one of their vessels. Once you have finished that, inform the other ships to prepare their guns and troops. We're going in for the attack." "Yes Sir!" Okan immediately picked up a phone, and searched for connection with the Eastern Empire's fleet. -------- Twenty jets lifted from the various aircraft carriers as part of a reconnaisance mission. Their main objective was to spot the fleet, and return information as to what the approximate fighting force was. The merchant ships full of soldiers were not to arrive until such information was known. If they were to sight any enemy ships, they were commanded to merely send information back, and not to attack unless attacked themselves. The Ottoman entry into this war would be a surprise. Furthermore, a military satellite had been launched from a mountina away from civilian centers. It would be used to photograph the islands as a mean of information. The glorious empire never cared for these islands before, and as such their intelligence towards them is limited at best.
12. OoC: I use RL cityies. Just look up maps of Morocco, Western Sahara and Algeria to find cities. I don't have a full map. Sorry. Also, I've sent a hundred or so planes after your bombers. You NEED to post casaulties. All coastal cities in Morocco and Western Sahara are heavily damaged by the way. IC: With no signs of government activity, individual generals began to talk and allow themselves to take control of seperate sections. Once they haphazardly organized their command centers. they began setting up quick defensive positions, using anything from sandbags to sheltering tanks in underground parking garages. The total military force was not at some 152,000 soldiers, 600 Altay Tanks, 50 artillery pieces and 2 FOABs per command station, with ten total command stations. T he navy was stationed somewhere in undamaged Algeria, and communication with the Navy was severely limited and distorted. Soon, however, the military vessels began clean-up and Search and Rescue operations on the coast, attempting to save as many lives as possible.
13.
Wah wah wah your problems. I like this idea. I already have a similar (although much more complicated) tech scale that I alone use. Right now I'm at 1973. Bellbottoms for all!
And you alone can use that tech scale. Don't enforce it on the rest of us.
14. OoC: Did I seriously put nuclear missiles? Lol, it's supposed to be FOABs, I don't know how I mixed the two up. IC: The airstrikes killed some 8,000 soldiers and injured around 10,000. Civilian casaulties were in the 500s. The soldiers soon took command, forming organized assault groups. After retreating from the fight with about 4,780 casaulties, they would ambush the enemy with guerilla tactics, raiding the foes in cities and along roads. More airplanes took to the skies, with some 20 more PAK-FAs attacking the enemy bombers. PRA would notice a lack of protection amongst roads leading to the capital.
15. Welcome to ____ _____. My name is Margaret Lanterman. I live in____ _____. I am known as The ___ ____. There is a story behind that. There are many stories in____ _____. Some of them are sad, some of them funny. Some are stories of madness, of violence. Some are ordinary, yet they all have about them a sense of mystery. The mystery of life. Sometimes, the mystery of death. The mystery of the woods, the woods surrounding ____ _____. To introduce this story, let me just say it encompasses the all. It is beyond the fire, though few would know that meaning. It is a story of many, but it begins with one. And I knew her. The one leading to the many is _____ ______. _____ is the one.
16. OoC: There will be resistance, but you should've attacked once I RECOVERED. By the way, the entire capital is leveled, so once you get there... IC: The tanks would soon be attacked by mobs of angry soldiers. Stationed across various cities and military bases, they began to form and fire upon PRA soldiers. A couple dozen PAK-FAs took to the air to assault the invading enemy force, and one hundred Altay tanks began to roll their way towards PRA military soldiers. EXTREMELY CLASSIFIED: Because of its anarchial state, a small group of generals huddled underground, debating whether or not to launch nuclear missiles. After a 4-1 vote approving, 2 nuclear missiles headed their way towards PRA forces, though intelligence was screwed up and the missiles would be very inaccurate. OoC: better?
17. This is ridiculous. I'm not redoing my entire nation's military to something much worse. It's bad enough that larger nations annihilate everyone. Now you want to give them more power?
18. Unfortunately for the Great Western Alliance, this announcement was not recieved due to the high destruction caused by the storm. As such, the military was unprepared for any attacks. Casaulties were enormous, and confusion soon spread through the Western Alliance. The government was nowhere to be seen. The last heard of them was in Rabat, hours before the storm hit.
19. The moves went unnoticed by GWA. CLASSIFIED: The convoys returned the materials to the nearest military base, where they would be examined.
20. lolno, the tech scale is fine. We need less superhuge nations and more balance. This only upsets the balance greatly.
21. OoC: I have no IC way of knowing where two military helicopters crashed inside my borders? You never speciified where they crashed; I assumed nearby a city.
22. The Western Alliance had no response. CLASSIFIED: The soldiers confiscated the helicopter parts, placed them in hte APCs, and left 1 APC and fifteen men to return the captured enemy.
23. Ottoman Characters: Pasha Osman Bayezid Osmanoğlu (Holy Emperor and Voice of Allah), Evmania Voria (Holy Empress), Zeki Osmanoğlu (Heir to Throne), Okan Ebhar (Sailor on the O.N.S Pillar, Aircraft Carrier) Ekvan Şaban (Civilian in Constantinople) In The Ottoman Capital of Constantinople "Pasha Osman..." A muslim man, dressed in traditional Ottoman military attire, bowed beneath the emperor. "Speak." Osman leaned forward. This man's news must be important. "It seems Dragania....Dragania has invaded the Ukain Isles." "This is not of my interest. Why are you here?" "Sir....the Eastern Empire thinks those islands belong to them. Intelligence suggests total war between these two nations. Pasha Osman...we cannot let this go under our nose. While there are many countries not aligned, we have high trade and diplomatic relations with the Eastern Empire. We must stick with our allies. I suggest assisting in the invasion of these islands." Pasha Osman sat back in his throne and sighed. "Quickly, send the imperial fleet to...destroy Dragania. Tell them no mercy. I shall be sending ten thousands men along with the fleet in our landing ships to invade. Equip a few planes with napalm. It's a jungle out there." (ooc; YEAAAAAAAAAHH) "Are...are you sure? What about Alvonia? And the Drakonic empire?" "God, I have forgotten about them. leave behind a cruiser and a battleship to patrol our western seas. Also, have a couple odzen fighters and bombers patrolling with them. If Alvonia or god forbid that other Dragon state invades us, we will be weakened. place 1,000,000 soldiers along our Western coast. Tell the commanders that if any Alvonian or Drakonic ships are spotted, they should be attacked immediately. Also, send word to the Eastern Empire that we are here to aid them.
24. Gina Hammond moved from America to Western Africa in search of a job teaching english. Living in El Aaiún, she was prepared for the large storm incoming. Gina placed candles around the house, and unplugged all cords. Many announcements had been made on the radio that the rain would knock out the power, and she did not want to be in the dark during this monster storm. Just looking from her apartment window, Gina was shocked by the fierce nature of the storm. She could see lighting and hear the thunder, but something else was...different to her. The screams below startled the woman. She could see a...boat? A boat was flying through the streets, smashing cars. Not a large tanker or anything, just a small speedboat, but boats usually don't go on land, and even so, El Aaiun isn't on the ocean side... Then it started raining. Not the soft, usual rain that starts before a storm, but heavy, huge drops falling at a rate Gina had never seen before. In mere seconds, the streets were already little rivers, sweeping small objecs with them. And the wind. When it started, it was going at around 100 miles per hour. It eventually picked up to an incredible 214 mph, sweeping citizens and vehicles around like ragdolls. The waves from the ocean a good couple of miles or so away were somehow sending water deep downtown, flooding many homes and destroying entire coastal cities. Gina's apartment began shaking, knocking her to her feet. A loud crackle was heard, and the power went out. Her room was soon swamped with water, and the winds began putting an unbearable strain on the supports. A huge groan was audible to all residents in the building, and soon it was on its way to the ground, taking Gina and her candles with it. Soon, El Aaiun was but a swamp, and the wind had torn most buildings down. As it moved across Morocco and Western Sahara, even more major cities lost communication and were heavily damaged, while small villages and towns were all but gone. BREAKING NEWS: "We're getting reports that the massive storm spotted in the Atlantic was much more powerful than expected, and casualties may be anywhere from the hundreds to the thousands. Communication with cities such as El Aaiun, Casablanca and even our capital of Rabat has been completely lost, and-..........Yes, we're getting confirmations now that....that El Aaiun has been obliterated by the storm. Rabat is submerged...it's confirmed, all coastal cities in Morocco and Western Sahara are completely gone. The storm is beginning to break up, and it's expected that minor thunderstorms may hit Algeria. Yes, the entire province of Casablanca is submerged in at least an inch of water. Very little remains of the coastal regions of Morocco. Casaulties range anywhere from 500,000 to 4,000,000. Major damages on all coastal cities. Please wait for official instructions." OoC: I have plans for this. I just wanted to destroy my country. :V
