Say there is alliance Z and alliance B. Z has 300 members and B has 60. If both lose, let's say .3 from a nation from each alliance deleting, and a lose of only .1 is displayed for both alliances, alliance Z actually gains less score per individual nation than alliance B if you spread it evenly. Therefore, the smaller alliance, B, has more growth per nation than alliance Z. At least I think that's why it's like that.
