1.
Split into 5 AA's. Have some declare on each other. Let the fun commence.
we have no problem having 'fun' when it's justified as in this example of a member gone rogue:
  2.
Not enough members for it to matter. The two AA's combined have about 190 members.
if we hadn't taken action, the number of ghosts that we had would have kept us in sanction range indefinitely. as it is, we now have a release valve that we can exercise at our discretion - much nicer than being forced to play in a sandbox not of our choosing. and no, we don't have a WTF3 to control the number of members in WTF2 - that's just conspiracy talk
  3. i'd do that, but tying the colours to dates allows the tracking of the declarations of peace as well - if that's not critical, then i can go ahead and do that. the other option i was considering was combining the early days into groups of 3, freeing up 2 colours each time.
  4. Quandry: running out of colours. Solution ??? Notes: This is a Declaration of War chart, tracking the date of declaration and the alliances involved. Where an alliance has peaced out, the alliance's icon is vertically-shaded with white, the icon border colour gives the date of peace, and the DoW attack lines are dashed. Alliances which have declared for 'both' sides are horizontally-shaded, with their central colour based on their earliest declaration. 'Micro' alliances are not included, with that definition being subjective, and usually based on the total number of nations in the alliance. The grey alliances are currently bystanders. Design priority in this chart has been to minimize x-overs to enhance 'reading' clarity. also see Seipher's NS-related and nuke-related maps: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=97656&st=35 and Jharius' most popular map* that includes colour spheres and separates the 2 fronts: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?app=blog&module=display&section=blog&blogid=627 and shadoz is keeping his updated too: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?app=blog&module=display&section=blog&blogid=623 *as voted on by readers of the Amazing Sanction Race who voted in gopherbashi's poll: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?app=blog&module=display&section=blog&blogid=11&showentry=2550

  8. i knew it was called 'faux' news for a reason ... faux pas anyone ?
  9. and before anyone comments, NO, i am *NOT* encouraging further declarations - just demonstrating that any further additions in that arena will be mighty challenging to accommodate.

  12. alas, i thought the practice of being drawn and quartered had fallen out of favour, but it seems that it has kept its cachet in certain dark corners of CN ... think of the children !!

  17.
Hey Gopherbashi, good work on making those stats! However, I wouldn't sort the GRL with the alliance stats (I'd put it somewhere separate) because you're basically comparing apples with oranges there.
the GRL s on this suggestion ...

    Hey guys

what ?? just because Jharius gave you your own little separate sandbox war ?? how selfish ! that said, while i'm also a fan of Jharius' war map, my alliance isn't interested in the colour sphere stuff and just wanted a CLEAR indication of who declared on who and when. that's what mine does. i think Seipher's attempts at throwing other stats into the mix is tres kewl, and if it could somehow pop 3-d out of the screen, would be a very nice playtoy to twist around and look at from different angles. changing alliance size by number of nukes thrown / absorbed would be *very* interesting to see changing day by day ...

    Hey guys

dunno about you, but i see the last 20 blogs on the blog page. i deal with info overload everyday, so i have no problem with what you term 'crap' dropping off of my radar.
