1. I, on behalf of the Greek people, extend our thanks to Carthage and Yugoslavia for allowing our independence. Likewise, we send our thanks to all states of the world for recognising our nation and finally, we send a message of good will and hope to all states for peace and propsperity.
2. Sparta will not recognise this document, though supports the principles it was written with. We, likewise Carthage have, and enforce, stricter rules of war.
3. Private At the highest levels of Government, it was decided that the primary focus would be military based until it had reached a full operational capacity, employing staff to work round the clock in factories and shipyards to deliver the orders placed by the army, navy and airforce. All funding would be given priority to military projects to ensure they would be finished within the year, with the exception of the Navy. Only one CVBG would be completed by the end of the year and that was simply because enough ships from the former Spartan nation had been kept in excellent condition including a carrier. Likewise with the carriers naval aviation wing. To deal with the growing military, more military bases and training camps would be constructed around the Kingdom in locations of strategic interest.
4. 5. But its not forced. If somebody makes the decision to use nuclear weapons, then they should be forced to RP the consquences of their actions or be punished for using them as a rage/troll weapon.
6. A petition was sent to both Carthage and Yugoslavia for independence. It would cite the millions of citizens who had turned out over the last few weeks to form a Government around the King, snap elections that were held for the Spartan Gerousia and Damons, the upper and lower houses of the Senate respectively. It would point out many improvements already put in place during the process of transition from independence movement to fully fledged Government. Towards the end of the petition it would simply say that it was better to ask forgiveness than permission when it came to the freedom of the Greek state and even those who initially opposed the idea of a second rising of Sparta had grown accustomed to the idea after the draft constitution was made public several weeks earlier, a copy of which had also been sent to both Carthage and Yugoslavia. The draft constitution enshrined the rights of the individual and was not that dissimilar from the former United Nations Bill of Human Rights. It also set out the fundamental principles of the Spartan state. The entrenched nature of the constitution meant that it would be difficult to change, Parliamentary sovereignty meant that whilst regions of Sparta could have devoled powers in the future, such as Crete, supreme authority lay with the throne. The constitution outlined the seperations of powers between Government branches, lines of accountability and an article on a State of Emergency which would grant the King additional powers from the Gerousia and Damons to manage and resolve the crisis. All in all, it had the hallmarks of a fair and free constitution. At the very end, it would implore Carthage and Yugoslavia to confirm the Independence of Sparta as soon as possible.
7. If you want to make nuclear anarchy mean something then approach it like we do land annexations. If person X fires nukes first at person Y, and person Y responds (general nuclear exchange), both nations MUST make twenty posts minimum, over the course of two RL months about recovery. This is regardless who wins the war. If person X fires nukes at person Y, and person X re-rolls right afterwards, person X must write fifteen posts minimum over the course of two months recovering from an unknown catastrophic incident of a nuclear war sort of scale. However, person Y, must only write ten posts over the course of two months for recovery if not even less.
8. Private The Ministry of War began the process of establishing a national aerial defence grid which would protect Sparta from attacks from enemy aircraft and missiles. In hardened and easily defended locations around Greece, OTH Radar stations would be constructed to offer, when completed and linked, 360' detection of ranges up to two thousand miles. The AN/FPS-118 OTH system was used by the former United States and Canada during the Cold War. The positioning of the stations would be directional to the compass points. The resulting 'hole' in the center would be covered by a fifth station which would offer a 360' detection radius to cover the center. To suppliment the radar network, Synthetic Apature Radar stations would be constructed as well as SAR satellites launched. Mobile radar networks would be established through the use of vehicle mounted AESA emitters to ensure the static radar network, if disabled in a war, will only be down for a limited time before the mobile network connects and re-establishes coverage for the hole. Furthermore, infrared, thermographic and optical sensors would be established in key locations of the radar network where the probability of holes is highest. These facilities would be heavily protected by air defences and missile defences. The mobile radar network would operate directly alongside the static positions, but be attached to the mobile units of the air defence forces. Working seperately from regular ground forces, they would be attached to the Royal Air Force or 'RAF' for short. The primary units of the ADF would be made up of MIM-104 Patriot batteries, S-400 SAM units, Buk mobile SAM's, ASRAD-R surface to air systems and Crotale NG (VT-1) surface to air systems. As part of the multi-layer strategy of detection, E-3 Sentry aircraft would patrol Spartan skies, the Mediterranean sea, Ionian sea, Aegean sea and the sea of Crete. One squadron of Tu-160 Blackjacks would always be in the sky at any one time as endurance first response air patrols. The Blackjacks would be outfitted with an AESA RADAR system and a Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod to give greater RADAR data and positive target identification, autonomous tracking, coordinate generation, and precise weapons guidance from extended standoff ranges, the addition of more hard points on each bomber allowed the aircraft to carry twenty long range air to air missiles, most notably, the AIM-54 Phoenix. The Blackjacks primary patrol routes would keep it over Greece itself and its waters. Using the land based radar systems extreme range and multi-layered composition, these same networks which would keep eyes over the northern skies, would also keep watch of the Black sea, Dardenelles and Bosphorus. This duel purpose led to the development of the Naval Defence Initative. the main long range coastal defences fell in the form of anti ship ballistic missiles. Mounted on TEL's, the ASBM's would be deployed in batteries along the coastlines, kept hidden using the geography and natural foliage not to mention camouflage nets. Once established, they would relocate at a random basis to prevent any observational patterns taking place which would identify them and make them easy to target. Supporting this defence system and the radar network, specialized satellites would be deployed to assist the targeting and fire support systems of the ASBM's. Electro Optical satellites, further SAR satellite and a dozen NOSS satellites. In addition for a more sustainable long range defence, Gryphon Transporter Erector Launcher batteries would also take positions, trying to remain hidden as best possible and moving at random to prevent patterns. These would use TASCMs against enemy warships. For close in coastal defence, Harpoon block III's would be mounted on the back of military trucks in quad launchers. These Harpoon Trucks would work closer to the coastline. These closer systems of defence would also move around randomly to prevent any sort of pattern emerging that would make them easier to attack and destroy. In addition to the long and short range defences, Naval Strike Missile launchers would be developed in static, hardened 'pop up' fortifications, as well as by quad box launchers on vehicles, but primarily, they would be deployed by the air force. The all round general anti naval defence however, would come in the form of the BrahMos missile, which would be used by all branches of the military, but mainly but land based army forces tasked with coastal defence. SOM Cruise Missiles would be likewise deployed, but by the air force. P-3 Orion aircraft would patrol the coastal skies continually searching for any submerged threat to Sparta until the SOSUS network which was being laid between Sparta, Crete, Rhodes and Athens was completed, and extended out into the Med as far as possible without breaching the territorial sovereignty of the African states.
9. After my initian rejection of this idea, Ty's proposal seems to be pretty damn good if im honest. I would support that.
10. If I see any of this Britain First !@#$%^&* on my facebook page, don't bother talking to me. Got no time for ignorant, un-educated and simplistic ideals and irrational, ill thought out statements based on the sort of !@#$ 'The Sun' and the 'Daily Mail' come out with.

11. TBM, the points are great, but limiting as you cannot remove ships you dont want, for example, an spare carrier or two, perhaps a few battleships, corvettes and hell, I have 24 landing ships. I dont need 24 landing ships. Ide rather swap 10 of them out, along with my 24 corvettes, 1 carrier and 1 battleship and get more points to spend on SSN's and perhaps a few frigates/destroyers. I won't lie that Im opposed to any restriction placed on +50k players at this point so late in the game because I like my navy, but I would like it better if i could actually use the ships I dont need in exchange for points for stuff I actually need.
12. Hardly Mogar, it just presents under 50k nations with the opportunity to try and behave has the larger RP1 powers did. RP2 as far as military statistics at the moment is at an excellent balance, the customization available, the tech ceiling, everything, its a finely tuned machine, but nerfing bigger players for having bigger navies isnt fair on them. Lets put it into perspective; The US Navy has 290 combat vessels. I have 130, Lynneth has slightly more, as does Cent and Triyun. The US Navy has 3,700 combat aircraft. I have 990 after losing 300,000 soldiers for my ground army, not sure how many Lynneth, Cent and Triyun have. The limitations on ground soldiers limit how far one can project power Mogar. Like how i blockaded Sweden (ignore the fact I was nuked for a moment), the 114,000 soldiers I had wouldnt be anywhere near enough to invade and sieze the territories of Denmark and Norway, even with 95% of my entire navy supporting it and my entire air force (the last bit is an extrapolation on a senario). The ships required to move that many men, limit any sort of expeditionary forces to the warships of a fleet, which is around 12,000 men per expeditionary force going of the same fleet composition I had. If you have a small navy, build lots of anti ship defences and anti ship missiles for your airforce, and a good AA network to supplement your airforce in air defence. If you have a big navy, you have no advantage other than you can put more firepower on a target from long range with minimal threat for a limited amount of time before munitions are expended and it must re-supply.
13. That said, I would very much like to put in place a system which allowed players to exchange ships for points to put towards other ships, for example, I have no need for 24 corvettes, but the points equate to six SSN's, something I desperately need to properly defend against submerged threats to my surface fleets. Just used me as an example as this thread followed right on the tail of my GM's hall post.
14. No, we already have a system which allowed states with no IG navy to have a Navy, so why should the bigger nations be punished for having larger navies?
15. Ok so question. I have no need for twenty four corvettes. At 200 points each, can I just exchange all 24 of my corvettes for 6 more SSNs? (4800 points/750 points = 6.4)
16. Public By the decree of King Alexander Augustus Apostolos the First, the formation of the Armed Forces has been confirmed and recruitment is to begin immediately. To flesh out the military, three hundred thousand soldiers of the former Spartan State have been re-drafted into the military to ensure the security of our fledging state. The remaining three hundred thousand soldiers will be recruited from across the Kingdom in a huge recruitment drive. Likewise, orders have been placed with domestic military industrial companies to provide the Spartan state with tanks, armour and other support and assault vehicles. Likewise, orders have been placed to provide aircraft for the RAF and the warships for the Royal Navy. 17. Public Announcment I, King Alexander Augustus Apostolos of Sparta, hereby declare the lands of Greece, the Greek Islands and Crete to be independent and free. I look forward to opening dialogue with our neighbours and starting long and prosperous relationships with the Mediterranean states and further afield in Europe and Africa. It is my sincere hope that the states of this world can accept a resurgent Spartan state and allow us to flourish in peace Signed King Alexander Augustus Apostolos the First, by the Grace of Olympus, Defender of Greece and Chief Priest of Zeus on Earth
18. Private Frederick boarded his private jet and left to Greece where he would retire to the farming life he was raised with.
19. Remove Iceland from the map. Add Sparta please, same shade of red if possible. Sparta includes all the white space in Greece and the RL Greek islands + Crete. DoE to follow.
20. Somebody give me a job

21. Dont you need a roll to get into alvonia, then a roll to get out of alvonia followed by a roll to enter the former snow haven. So in order. Roll 1 - Entering Alvonia Roll 2 - Getting out of Alvonia Roll 3 & 4 - Getting into Snowhaven FROM Alvonia (rolls against Hereno AND Nutmeg here as both have boots on the ground.
22. You cannot presume to know her course of action mogar.
23. Private - Iceland The Kingdoms best architects had been working feverisly to complete the design of the new Reykjavik, the supercity which would be built over the land formerly occupied by the now bulldozed city. Estimated to take nearly ten years to complete work began as soon as possible. With most survivors of the nuclear attacks now unemployed, they were drafted into the herculean effort in the reconstruction of the city in exchange for higher food rations. Those with other skills would take up positions to benefit the overall effort. By the end of the year, it was projected that every person over sixteen and under sixty would be working in one way or another towards rebuilding the Norse State. Classified The entire navy with the exception of CVBG Icelandic Fury would be deployed to the North sea and the Norwegian sea, taking up patrol patterns 200 miles off the coastline of Sverige. Their orders would be to sieze or if the situation arose, sink, any Swedish vessel on the open seas as part of a naval blockade to strangle Sweden. CAPs would run over the warships from the numerous carriers to ensure no surprise attacks could befall the Norse fleets. Notification was sent to Great Britain with details of the Norse fleets patrol zones to avoid any mishaps such as collisions or confrontation as well as an assurance that the Norse people mean no harm to the British people. A storage container of Hákarl was sent to the Government as a gift of good will. Public Announcment With the ongoing dispute over the historical lands of the Norse Kingdom between ourselves and Sweden, we are enacting a policy of blockade against the Swedish nation. All ships trying to leave or enter Swedish waters will be siezed or sunk. Shipping within the Baltic will not be molested and Baltic nations will be left unhindered. This blockade is indefinate and any state attempting to breach this blockade will lose every ship sent to run it. If Sweden will not relinquish our historical territories and insists on revisionist history, then we will choke it into submission. We are willing to negotiate at any point, but the longer this blockade must be upheld, the more the Swedish people will suffer.
