Illini Empire is someone that Athens had an issue with in the past. They had a member who scammed aid from us...They were cooperative with us on dealing with him, but they are just not very smart players. If you register on their forums, even as a diplomat, you have full access to their forums. They clearly lack any form of competent leadership. Some of the things in their forums are pretty lulzy and facepalmish.

Thank you. That's what I don't get about people saying that we're trying to "dictate" terms... We're not telling anyone what they have to offer us, just what we will and won't accept.

I must respectfully disagree. Seeing over and over again "not one dime to PC" is an attempt to dictate terms. Im 99% sure that this will not happen. I also see so many TPFers talking about terms as a negotiating process. Karma was roundly criticised by all on the losing side when they stated repatedly that they would never alter Pacificas terms. All of us knew that we left room for negotiating. I dont think that ANYONE is buying that not one dime will go to PC AND Peace will be achieved. You guys are now the ones making absolutes in your "negotiating" tactics. It is no more intelligent now than it was 4 weeks ago.

She was a nation sitter it was her responsibility to run the nation the way the owner wanted it run, he said to nuke pete so that is what she should have done, it is not her place to overrule the wishes of the nation owner that she was sitting for.
While I agree with everything you said, it is further safe to assume that while she was nation sitting for him, he would at least have wanted to defend himself against attackers. She stated, I believe that she did not defend against Jason8, because she liked him. If you make the agreement to nation sit, defense should be automativ with the sat nation. Understand that I am in no way defending the OP, Im saying that nuking Pete M because he told her to is all well and good, but not nuking Jason8 in defense after he attacked, is at the very least a breach of the agreement to sit a nation. All of that being said, the OP seems like a manipulator, and deserves his fate.

I actually think TPF-PC was possibly the only NAP with a point in a very long time. It's stupid for friends to sign NAPs because friends shouldn't have to be told not to kill each other. You may as well just make it a PIAT. The only practical reason for an NAP is for people who can't stand each other to use it to prevent conflict. Though it obviously didn't work in this case.

The ONLY way, and I mean the ONLY way to ensure a NAP is actually a valid deterrent to aggression, is to set it for a defined period of time, with no cancellation clauses....such as 90 days.... The leadership of TPF is not moronic, they know this. I find it very highly unlikely that the moronic wording of the article was NOT put their intentionally.

Thanks to all those that tossed some nukes my way, I have mutant people and 4 legged chickens now. Now if only people will realise that we just fought a war to pay for our past, and allow us to try and prove ourselves in the future.

What is with all the posts concerning tech raids? Looking at their war screens, I see only Sileaths tech raid. They are a 29 member alliances.... Off the top of my head, I cant think of a single AA that allows raiding on a 29 man alliance. As for the ludicrous notion that Sileath the "freedom fighter" and those like him would be likely to raid.... Seriously? Unaligned nations raiding a 29 man alliance just ASKS for 3 on 1 retaliation. Can we please stop discussing tech raiding against Menotah,. it is essentially a non-issue.

Maybe Mhawk would have more approved of our handling of the situation if we had started out by stringing Menotah along by initiating private, mediated meetings asking them if they remembered certain actions. Then asking them if they were sure.....then telling them we would talk to them again tommorrow, and telling them how much we hope their memories improve in that 24 hours. While Menotahs allies, the whole time, just implored us to get to the point. But since we would be being so magnanimous, we would give them the opportunity to admit their wrongdoings as we continually pointed out to them that we could end them with the bat of an eyelash.
Let me see...that scenario happened somewhere....just where, escapes me at present.

As well written as this was, I find it distasteful. Not because it brings criticism, but because it's based on idealized perceptions with hardly any basis in reality. It's easy to sit on the sidelines and tell the world how you would want things to happen, it's another thing to have your alliance on the line.
The Karma rhetoric so often criticized is looking towards the future. This war is not meant to be an example of standards, it's meant to depose of a power structure so that the future will not resemble the past. Complain all you want, call people hypocrites until your eyes bleed, in order to bring change, you must make sure the old power structure can not and will not rise again to their former glory.
This wasn't NpO's fight, and I agree that it shouldn't have been. But do not presume to have a moral high ground from your little uninvolved corner of the world. It's not you who are still fighting, and it's not you who they will come after if they ever will be in a position to do so.
You want fair terms? You want the bullying to end once and for all? Then stop complaining when we're making sure the bullies are gone.

While I have developed a minimal admiration for Grub since he took the Polar throne, I must respectfully say, that while he is entitled to his opinion, merely him possessing said opinion, does not make his opinion based in fact. While I disagree with the collective stance of those on the Pacifica front that the terms will not change(I believe we should negotiate and develop alternatives), it is unfair to say that this horse is "destroying everything in its path". It really is a horribly failed metaphor. We presented terms, they were rejected, they presented counter-terms, they were rejected. Then we have "It was dressed up as something it was not, it was called something pretty, almost religious, but in the end it was the outpouring of revenge."....The meaning of karma is clear. The fact that revenge is a LARGE motivating factor for a GREAT many on the front, has not EVER been hidden or denied. You can try to THINK of what Karma means to you, but it does NOT change what Karma actually means.

Nor Drai, nor Heft, nor ES...I think you get the idea. The cords of fate are constantly woven. The only determinor of when Pacifcan justice has been reached, is Karma herself. Should those now acting as instruments of Karma, exceed that mandate of imposing justice on pacifca, then our fates will we pre-woven into future events. It is safe to say, with 100% honesty, that the vast majority of us, want this war concluded. We do not want to destroy Pacifica, and quite frankly her cries that we are enacting some secret agenda to destroy, are not helping the peace process.
Grub, before this post, I had growing respect for you. After this post, my respect for you is unchanged. I, for one, appreciate your opinions and views. But, as you said, this is not your fight. As others have said, opinions are easy when you are not on the front. The accusation that we have stuck in knife in the collective back of this community, is patently false and absurd.

Cause the TWiP was allways 100% truth. The apology is one of the terms we've stated were ok with. We got yelled at last time we stole karma's thunder giving Moldavi. (apparently a shallow PR stunt) We'll say it during the terms so Karma can look moore like a badass.
This is what you dont seem to get about all this....The fact the apology has to be a term at all...says alot. Apologies as part of terms or agreements, are as worthless as the paper they are written on. They are given because they HAVE to be given. Not because they are heartfelt or sincere. If they were sincere,, they would have been given, in private, to those deserving of them, then in public to the community as a whole, not as a term of surrender, but as something, that through introspection, you seriously believe that you should do.

She left in bad faith, then two weeks later...compromised another member who trusted her to babysit her nation a few months back by logging into their account (Using their password). She then denied specifically to government members and brought up the threads by saying someone had given her screenshots, not "being forthcoming" about any part of the situation. Which doesn't matter in the least. By the first two points alone, there's nothing GOOD that could've come from her doing what she did.
OOC: Hopefully they don't have a paypal.
I have no horse in this race, so in the end, I really dont care, but two times now I have seen the paypal reference, and to be totally honest, resorting to even suggesting that is about the most un-classy thing I have ever seen and I truly expect better from my aqua brothers.

Otherwise, yeah, you're right. This sentence is pretty harsh compared to what it should be. EZI should never be practiced, no matter the circumstance. A single ZI is enough punishment for any crime.

It has come to my attention that a FORMER TRIUMVIR of the UINE has been threatening and declaring war against other Alliances on behalf of the UINE. I want to say on behalf of our beloved Emperor, Keve69 of Sealand, and the Triumvirate and Government of the Union of Integrated National Entities that these declarations are categorically FALSE! This person, Mingmei of United Tropics, left UINE for FIRE 12 days ago, and is now GHOSTING our AA. She is NOT, nor WILL SHE BE, a member of the UINE. Here are the in game messages that I have received from Aquitaine and Illini nation:
To those two Alliances, as well as any others that have had to go through this nonsense, I want to share my anger and deep regrets for the actions of Mingmei. This ruler is apparently very troubled and unstable, and hopefully the people and Government of United Tropics can bring her back to the straight and narrow. As for me, this is a personal betrayal. I have defended her repeatedly while she was in UINE, even as others told us to get rid of her as she was unstable and very bad news. I wanted to see the good in her, but after all this nonsense, you can understand why I feel betrayed and why I am taking this personally.
Although as much as I take this personally, I remember what I learned from the old neighborhood, "HRH, Keep it business, not personal." OK, well that was the personal. Now, here is the business end:
Mingmei of United Tropics, for the crime of High Treason, we find you GUILTY as charged. For the crime of Member Poaching, we find you GUILTY as charged. I, personally am all in favor of the one-time ZI sentence of ANY nation committing that sort of crime against any alliance. However....I cannot support the totality of the sentence.
Point by Point....
1) You will not be allowed ANY aid. Any nation, and we mean ANY nation, that aids you in any way shape or form will be subject to attack from UINE and her protectors, ARES.-does not need posted, its kinda general practice when someone is in a recognized war...so saying it,...not necessarry.
2) Any Alliance, and we mean ANY Alliance, that accepts you as a member, will be given 48 hours to remove you from membership, or be subject to military actions from UINE and her protectors, ARES.--I too would love to see a decent sized take her as a member just to see where this goes. Quite frankly, like it or not....not even being OPEN to diplomacy in this event= collossal fail.
3) This ZI sentence will carry over if you delete and re-roll. You will be ZI'ed once.--- (OOC) This is a game, and within the game, each newly created nation is a new entity unto Bob. So, as leaders of nations within this world, you would kill innocent civilians of a new nation to satisfy your bloodlust? Yep..FAIL.--also this is quite ambiguous...a re-roll begins with 1.00 infra. How much do you let her grow after the re-roll before you begin the ZI? Suppose she uses tech deals to grow, do you intend to pay the tech that you would be depriving her rightful buyers of? FORETHOUGH FTW!
4) If you, while under Peace or War Mode under the current sentence terms, repeat the actions that have granted you this sentence, or attempt to put the UINE or her Allies and Protectors under any stress or danger, the ZI sentence will be upgraded to Perma-ZI. If you delete before this sentence is carried out, it WILL be carried out on the re-roll.--Yeah this doesnt approach PZI or anything. Have you not paid attention to the reasons this current global war exists? Good luck with THIS, as it is EPIC fail.
5) If you, while under Peace or War Mode under the Perma-ZI sentence terms, repeat the actions that have granted you this sentence, or attempt to put the UINE or her Allies and Protectors under any stress or danger, The sentence will be ETERNAL-ZI.
