  1. Feel more than welcome to. It won't count towards anything, but by all means - always looking for more recommendations
  2. Pyramid is alright, but it really seems to vary from batch to batch when I try them. If you're looking for a decent hefeweizen, might I toss out the recommendation of Henry Weinhards? I'd only tried the Private Reserve (which is also quite good) until a camping trip about a month ago, when I tried out the hefe - I liked it. Apparently I'm in the minority with that, so YMMV, but yeah. I'm a fan.
  3. Nah. A number of 'em have been quite good, including the one in the OP of this thread (which was admittedly late, but we've already crossed that bridge). I'm just disappointed that so few of them managed to send theirs out. And that most recent one, well, I question whether it fulfills the requirement of "thorough."
  4. Yay for another review! Only one of these I've had the opportunity to try is Blue Moon, which I concur entirely with what Matt Miller said. Goes great with orange
  5. Best of luck to you in your endeavor, folks. We won't forget all the help which you provided to us as Farkers
  6. Oh lordy, they re-elected me. Congrats to the winners, and kudos to the IRON folks who actually did their beer reviews
  7. Long time coming. Good to have you guys as partners
  8. No, the OP is accurate. This changed....eh, not quite a year ago, if memory serves. It's by a small amount, but soldiers will reduce your working citizens.
  9. That's what we assume, anyway. Someone posted it in the GL thread and none of us have any idea what it means. I wasn't in Fark that far back, but I'm pretty sure for the folks who endured the Holy War, they weren't fighting to kill GOONS, they were fighting for the right to exist. Given how they were refused terms for so long, and the only other option was disbandment, surrendering wasn't exactly "giving up" - giving up would have been disbandment.
  10. Soldier efficiency/working citizens is part of what defines a nation's environment. What we're referring to is something which is not part of what defines a nation's environment.
  11. Yes, two nations with identical troop to citizen ratios could be affected differently by their troop counts. What we're referring to isn't the impact that soldiers have on environment, but something separate
  12. Yeah. Shared network is unfortunately not a situation which should work - outside of your network, you have a shared IP address, so you'd appear to be the same person to any tools which the game uses to check. As an alternative, provided your father is fine with only logging in from work, he should be able to make a nation and check it from there.
  13. Admin didn't publish the equation, so I think that most of us hesitate to do so publicly. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out with a little bit of tinkering Most of the necessary information is in this thread already. Depends on how accurate you'd like it to be. Land and infra are both available, but there's no way to tell what resources each person has, nor how that infra is divided amongst the people who have the pop increasing improvements/wonders. It wouldn't be surprised if someone could develop something is at least somewhat close, given a few variables to tweak depending on the general makeup of the alliance (for example, flexing things based off of ANS), but even then you'd still likely be pretty far off.
  14. Technically, there's one other area which Literacy Rate does factor into. However, since there's such a heavy correlation between literacy rate and technology, most people attribute its impact to technology. At the end of the day, though, it doesn't make much difference, since you'll have to purchase the tech to pass the literacy rate marker regardless.
  15. Yep. Also, one more tip for those who want to figure it out: environment isn't the last remaining factor.
  16. Come on over and have yourself a brew
  17. Happy Birthday, folks. It's been a lot of fun working with ya

    Hello Fark

You know Farkers. Like herding cats. It's a work in progress.

    Hello Fark

We see what you're doing, too.
  20. Yeah, Photoshop costs money. Some free alternatives which are more powerful than Paint are Paint.NET and gimp. Gimp's the closest thing to photoshop you'll find that doesn't cost a fair bit of money. I'm actually partial to Paint.NET myself, but I don't do any of the heavy duty stuff which a lot of the images folks do.
  21. When you don't have the NPP, whether or not you gain the income bonus is based off of your 'My Government Positions' - basically, for question 2, you get the income bonus (and the negative happiness) if you have your choice as 2, but you don't get the income bonus if you're set to 1, 3, or 4, even if you have uranium. With the NPP, as I understand it, it makes it so that you get the income bonus if you're set to my government position 2 or 3. The happiness, however, is not present any longer, so if you set your government position to 3, regardless of whether you have nuclear weapons or not, you'll gain that 1 happiness. I don't have a NPP to verify any of this, however.
