  1. Good luck. Some of you are among the people I respect most in CN. Some of you are not. Either way, this looks like a fairly good group and I look forward to seeing what you accomplish.
  2. OOC: I'm out for a while, at least.
  3. It should be noted that in a friendly exhibition today, TGR managed to beat MK.
  4. Alex looked at his friend and co-pilot. The Chaser wasn't carrying any illegal substances right now, so he doubted they'd be arrested for smuggling. More likely they'd be accused of being rebels, and the Fleet had a tendancy to shoot first, ask questions later. On the other hand, they'd be be destroyed if they didn't comply, and they were still a few minutes away from open space. "Dak, I'm going to stop like they said, but keep those engines charged just in case."
  5. Joke's on you! We don't HAVE an embassy with you yet!
  6. "Alex, those Imperials are trying to talk to us." Hemsky looked up from his controls. "Alright, Dak. Patch 'em through. Anything to keep from getting blasted to smithereens for the next few minutes."
  7. The Moonchaser blasted through space, never staying in a straight line for too long. Alex had been fourth in his graduating class at Starfleet Academy, and it wasn't for nothing. If he could just manage to evade destruction long enough to get into open space, he could hit it into hyperdrive and be home free. However, he doubted that the two Imperial warships would be willing to let him go wtihout a fight. A ship this fast with no ID codes was obviously going to look like a rebel transport.
  8. Alex flashed his ID to the guards as he entered the Orion Dock, and gave the same smile he always did when the love of his life came into view. The Moonchaser. At one time a factory-grade light transport, by the time Hemsky purchased the shuttle from an aging smuggler the ship had been outfitted with discreet yet moderately powerful weaponry, as well as one of the strongest shield generators that money could buy, and a lot of the extra space had been converted into secret storage for contraband. As he boarded the shuttle, the 'Chaser's First Officer, Dak Weiss, was already getting ready for takeoff. Looks like it paid off to have Dak receive a copy of all the messages I get on my Com-Chip, Alex thought. "Ready to go, Cap'n?" "You bet, Dak. Let's blow this popsicle stand."
  9. I intend to offer a pipe suicide pact in every match I play.
  10. A chip in Hemsky's ear buzzed, and a familiar voice began to speak through it. crrck...Alex, this is Ando. You need to get off of Ceo right now, man. I just heard the Captain give the order to deploy fire teams. There's rebels on there, and you'll get killed right along with them unless you disappear, and fast!. Alex immediately stood up. He hadn't spoken to Lieutenant Ando in weeks; in fact, not since he'd been stationed on the Memoria. Still, he trusted him with his life, and if he said that Ceo was in danger, Alex was going to take him on his word. The chip in his ear could only communicate one way, but he'd thank his old friend later. For now, he simply walked slowly out of the bar. If he moved too quickly it might bring attention down on him, and it would be a lot easier to get off of the station fast if nobody else was trying to. The Moonchaser was in the Orion Landing Dock, on the main level, which meant that Hemsky wouldn't have to use any of the elevators on his way out. That was good, because the Imperial Fleet could easily order the shut down of all inter-level transportation on the station to speed up their mission.
  11. Other people can play, I suppose, but their scores are irrelevant.
  12. Announcing the Beginning of the First Galactic Open Well, the time has come. As golfers from around the galaxy converge upon Coruscant and fans from all planets come to cheer on their champions and boo their rivals, it is my pleasure to announce that the first round of the Open is now beginning! Round One Team Fortyseven vs Team Bouncing Hippos Team Kaiser Martens Appreciation Group vs Team MK Beta Team Sin and Suds vs Team Hammertime Team Drunken DJs vs Team MK Team Big Mac - Bye Let the games begin! You can play your match at any time, provided that you take a screenshot of the final score and post it in the Results Thread. Once again, in case you forgot, for a game to be official it must take place on the lush greens of Pete's Putt-o-Rama, which can be found here. Good luck to all the contestants!
  13. Hyrum Carlotta, a Magentian loyalist diplomat currently in hiding in Realm, came before the assembled leaders of the new PAC. His Excellency Lord Ammon, Son of Ammon, and the rightful government of the Realm of Magenta, are more than willing to enter into this new coalition for African unity. However, we request that the African community as a whole recognize His Excellency as the rightful ruler of Magenta, and not the usurper who styles himself as Lord Dagon.
  14. OOC: I'll be RPing results of the conflict, but not nuclear winter. IC: After several hours of consideration, His Excellency Lord Ammon, son of Ammon, sent out a message to Sir Dagon, asking for a peaceful end to this issue. Almost immediately, the following reply was received. Lord Ammon, Son of Ammon I, Lord Dagon, Son of Immonen, have considered your request and have come to a decision. My soldiers and I will allow you to return to Magenta and live in peace and prosperity, and to maintain the traditional home of your family. However, I will neither surrender to you the throne nor grant you sovereignty over Magenta or the newly acquired territories. Regards, His Excellency Lord Dagon, Son of Immonen High Lord, Protector and Patriarch The Realm of Magenta
  15. Space Station Ceo Alex chuckled as he took a drink. It was almost pitiful, watching the Rebels call out for allies in every two-bit bar and hunting lodge. Funny how they still thought it was a secret. Anyone who'd spent as much time in the shadier joints in the Empire knew exactly what "Bluebird" meant these days, and Alex imagined that Imperial spies would be as likely to respond as true Rebels. Anyhow, Alex didn't really care. He'd never be a Rebel, but he didn't have any particular love for the Empire, and there was no use making enemies by turning in the rebels for the couple of dataries he'd get from the Imperial Fleet. No, he thought, it was best to just sit and watch for now.
  16. As the European conflict finally began to die down, Lord Ammon and his government began to discover the true costs of the nuclear war. Seated around a conference table in his temporary headquarters in Confucianism, His Excellency and his advisors mulled over the problems currently facing the Realm, and his options going forward. Present at the meeting were three Counts of the Realm, with Sir Dagon being notably absent; Captain Antonio Vermette, His Excellency's Chief Security Advisor; Myron Penner, the highest ranking member of the Ministry for Education, Science and Research to make it out of Magenta during the fallout; Barons Julian Lescourtes and Isaac Tavares, both Generals of the Royal Army of the Realm; and an array of lesser government officials, diplomats and nobles. "Your Excellency, reports from the homeland have said that while the immediate effects of the nuclear war killed roughly a third of the Magentian population, unidentified winds have almost completely negated any long term fallout," Penner said, flipping through his papers. "However, the capital itself is in complete disarray, and apparently, well, it would seem that Sir Dagon has assumed leadership of the Royal Army and proclaimed himself High Lord of Magenta." The entire table gasped as the news sank in. Sir Dagon, Count of the most powerful region of Magenta, had couped Lord Ammon and announced himself ruler, apparently with the support of the Royal Army. "Don't worry, Your Excellency. The soldiers will stand by you once you return." Baron Tavares was confident, but his partner, Baron Lescourtes, looked considerably less so. "Actually, my Lord, I'm afraid that may not be the case. As the largest county, Aries sends the most men to the Royal Army of any, and those soldiers may well feel more loyalty to their Count than to you. While we will almost certainly be able to take back control of the country, it will not be without bloodshed." Lord Ammon sighed as he thought about what he had just been told. Was it worth retaking the throne if it meant the loss of even more life? Surely Magentians had lost enough already.
  17. It is my understanding that the mods hold the final say over all matters of CNRP, and not the GMs. However, I also understand that CNRPS and CNRPR are not subject to this. If I am wrong, please correct me. So, if the CN Forum mods are in charge of CNRP, and not the other RPs, then shouldn't CNRP then be "sanctioned" and given its own forum? Or am I missing something here.
  18. So with this new ruling by HK, what are the actual results? Do we all have to RP nuclear winter?
  19. I'm going to go out on a limb and say any spy ring he may have planned to create would have failed, perhaps horribly.
  20. We thank all of you for your gracious support, and hope to see all of you on Coruscant soon.
