You gave me !@#$ for disbanding an alliance. At least when *I* decide it is time to disband, I keep it that way.
NG on the other hand disbanded, then attacked people using the NG AA, including IRON who was NG's ally in Oculus, while at the same time poaching your other former allies members, etc. If you REALLY wanted to attack IRON, the way to do it with balls would have been to leave Oculus as an alliance and plot. Hell, you could have even plotted first and left Oculus after. It would be nasty, but still within the "bad boy" reputation of NG.
When your former allies finally decided enough is enough and attack, you complain. That is not fighting a war. A war is a fight between alliances. You're just a bunch of rogues involved in battles.

I've been very out of the loop and really not caring about CN politics for several years (a few of which I hadn't an active nation), and I now see that there's a lot of activity around FTW, i.e. the Freehold of The Wolves. I am curious about them and I don't know how I could or should interact with them (if at all) in game (in this sense this inquiry has one IC aspect as well).
My confused and incomplete (and maybe incorrect) knowledge of the FTW is that they are the result of alliance mergers, that their history (this far) involved several wars with so-called "micros" (small alliances), that they're part of the RFI bloc (with Legion, GATO, Claws?... Who else has been part of it?), that they're currently at war with COBRA and Non Grata (and...?) What is their relationship with Oculus? Their FA ties?
I'll be grateful to anyone that can enjoy provide explanations or tell stories about them and their history.
(If some want just to post jokes and factoids, well, by any means please do! Jokes are funny, jokes are good...)
Thankfully @jerdge has been around long enough to know to take the word of alliance members currently at war with the alliance you are asking about with a grain of salt.
FTW is a merger of a few alliances and later they absored a few others, including Super Nova X (SNX) who was an ally. SNX was not that popular because it was previously lead by Junka.
I am personally not sure why GK and Canik have a bad history but they do. These days there are not a lot of new nations around so in my opinion if an alliance can grow via mergers and having other alliances join theirs, good for that alliance. Come to think of it, this was popular at least as far back as 2008 when I had my first small alliance. We were constantly getting offers to move in with some other group.
The members of RFI are CLAWS, FTW, GATO, The Legion and Argent.
FTW , in adfition to RFI, has treaty ties to IRON, ODN and LOSS. I am probably missing a few more. Feel free to jump on the FTW discord.

Lord Windmark is being “chummy” because NpO is an ally. Try not to jump to conclusions. One is supposed to treat allies with respect, especially in public.

Some of DBDC’s enemies tried to push the idea that DBDC would eventually roll everyone in an attempt to organize against DBDC. Cuba made it clear by his actions that is not the case. DBDC has a treaty with IRON. They are friends. Why break that just because on is leaving?

The New Pacific Order is the top alliance in every facet of the game except being cool, that is reserved for their colder brothers in the New Polar Order. They do hot very well though.
People have always resented Order and always will. Without Order there is chaos and many would like to to take advantage in chaos.
As for my actual goals, I like the concept of rationalization. I think in 2019 I might try to consolidate.
I rest my case @PeteManCide NPO is safe at the top.

The top alliances are mildly active - i say mildly because it is a far cry from the activity level of when I was new in 2008.
Politics are stagnant.
NPO is safe the top position.

I would like to see one round with a cap at 12 per alliance. We can always change it back to the way it has been previously the following round.
