So, instead of going into the war against people who they have no treaty conflicts with, defending allies who were burning; they opted to enter the war weeks late, against a treaty conflict opponent, who also happens to be fighting an alliance twice their size. I'd call that bandwagoning at best. It's probably just cowardice though.

NoCB war, I had fought against 3 =LOST= targets, two of whom were inactive, but the other went down fighting, and was very fun. In Karma, I had very pleasant fights with a couple of chaps from ODN, they were good. Bi-Polar, I was fighting two Immortal guys, one wasn't talking (but he sure was fighting), and the other was quite willing to introduce me to his nukes.

They clarified this position time and time again, and each time, the conclusion is still the same - they are opting cowardice over treaty obligations. A MDoAP will rank above an optional aggression clause, no matter chaining or not, in anyone's books. They choose not only to forsaken their allies in order to not join the loosing side of the war, but they stabbed them in the back by band wagoning onto the winning side through an optional [i]agreesion[/i] clause. Their policy was cowardice, their actions are treacherous, and it will be no matter how many times you try to sugar coat it or "clarify" it.

Bandwagoning is jumping on the bandwagon, the bandwagon here being the vastly outnumbered alliance of NATO. WAPA had a compulsory defensive clause with NEW, but they betrayed their word and instead opted to join the war against NATO, an already overwhelmed alliance, through an optional aggression clause. That is bandwagon in everyone's dictionary, and WAPA have proven themselves to be completely untrustworthy and entirely honour-less.

You guys should follow the Immortals off your sinking ship! All jokes aside, the Immortals have copped a very harsh deal here. They went to war on treaty obligations against a far larger alliance, with numerous fresh allies geared for war. They received little to no back up from their allies in CSN and TGE (The former has been busy, I'm not sure about the latter), and they have been hopelessly outnumbered. They are a new alliance, with almost no war-experience. All of their peace mode nations are infra heavy nations, lacking in both tech and WRCs. Their war mode nations have each been overwhelmed by the counter attacks, and are sinking slowly, while very quickly running out of war chest. The Immortal had the option of keeping their reserves in Peace mode and let their 1st wave die, or send their soft banking nations to the slaughter. While the Immortal certainly could have said $%&@ it and kept on fighting, I would like to commend them for putting their alliance first. Their nations fought against bigger and more numerous opponents and did not give up.
