  1. Take cover! You are on TNT! The exploooosive network! And this is Juanito, your radio host! Apparently El General earned his fame as a maverick stalinist who would work with the most illiberal factions to tackle the country's problems. But to experience an El General rally in recent days is to be reminded of the island's deeply polarized electorate. The argument that El General is a closet socialist has taken hold among some of the supporters of the Intellectuals (those who pretent to know everyerything just because they can read and write) who erupt into loud applause when their leader offers his antidote to El Presidente's plan to pave the way for social reforms. "We have a clear choice," said Pedro Gonzales, leader of the Intellectuals. "Do we want to give our country to El Presidente's socialism?" the answer is: Sure we do! El Presidente is always right! Even when he is wrong.. Even in Oviedo, a picturesque island occupied by a herd of anarcho-insurrectionalist crocodiles that residents described as politically moderate, the deeply divided nature of the country was on display. "He is the most liberal and generous leader of the Caribbean!; it shouldn't surprise you that his goal is to redistribute money! STOP CHEWING MY FOOT YOU MOTH*BEEP* F*BEEP*ER" said a resident in the process of being eaten by a crocodile.
  2. To send an Ambassador to Tropico, please fill the following form. Due to the low literacy rates of Tropico, we will not be able to send an ambassador in return (unless you teach him to read and write) Nation Name: Ruler Name: Government: Ambassador: Is he allergic to mosquito bites? Does he like crocodiles?: What about Llamas? Additional Notes:
  3. We accept your kind invitation. Meanwhile, our experts will try to find someone who can read, write and knows more than 200 words, to be sent in Procintia as ambassador of the Republica de Tropico. From the office of El Consejero, Minister of Foreign Affairs
  4. With the permission of Mudd, i claim this island
  5. Welcome on TNT radio! The news El General wants you to hear! This is Juanito, your favourite (and only) radio host! Good news in matters of Foreign Policy! Uncle Mudd is helping Tropico to improve transportation infrastructure essential for the community’s well-being and growth, the construction of the Harbor and the Foreign Ministry! Yeah that's right Tropicans, an harbor! You remember what happened the last time a freighter came to pay us a visit? “El General is working with Tahoe to help Tropico achieve real progress on shared goals that will improve quality of life and trade,” said El Consejero. “It is vital that Tropico maintains and improves transportation options.” Tropico invested $3.000.000 Tahoe Dollars to build a new harbour and a road to the community. The new facility replaces... sand, and has been built in deeper water to better ensure safe navigation. “Tropico is experiencing population growth,” said El Consejero “An important aspect of El General’s commitment to improving... today we reached 2000 citizens! But i miss the time we all knew to each other... We recognize that infrastructure development is key to supporting the Tropican economy!.”
  6. Welcome on TNT Radio! This is your radio host, Juanito, with explooosive news! El General appearance on the balcony of his presidential palace was an official endorsement and expression of solidarity to the Capitalist faction. El General's councilman has further confirmed the official endorsement of the El General on Economic Growth policies. El General has been apparently influenced by the majority of the citizens who expressed concerns over the backward economy of the island. Indeed, El General has been reported to be in the process of signing various Trade Agreements and Foreign Aid Agreements with governments from all over the world, to expedite the assimilation of Tropico into the vision of a “Tropico, Paradise Island”. El General has indeed published a book on its Tropico Island manifesto entitled “Banana Republic? No thanks, we like Ananas”. El Consejero, El General's advisor, is a co-author of this book. Political faction elites including those among the Militarists and Intellectuals, have apparently cooperated to endorse the new policies. El General openly endorses the construction of factories and banks, alluding to his government having an alleged mandate to transform Tropico substantively into an off-shore paradise by implementing the recommendations of the book “Banana Republic? No thank, we like Ananas”. There is therefore clearly a working association between El General and the political factions of the island, except Communists, Environmentalists and Religious, to implement and execute the capitalist agenda of the book entitled “Banana Republic? No thanks, we like Ananas”, whether Bananas like it or not. The aim of this endorsement would be to guarantee a rich, safe, democr.. i mean just and prosperous Tropico. I have plenty of news to report about happiness and the status of our economy! But the military kidnapped Josè... Josè, Juanito's Llama So here's some music, the Anthem of Tropico!
  7. Tropico (Officially: Republica de Tropico, Republic of Tropico) is a micro nation situated east of the Bahamas islands in the Caribbean sea. It is an atoll formed in pre-historic times from years of coral reef growth which has left modern-day visitors a playground for beach-goers, drug cartels, alcoholics and just about anyone seeking fun. On Tropico' coasts, where the warm Caribbean Sea caresses the shore, there are many beachfront resorts. The waters of Tropico are famous for their clarity and the location of the most exclusive resorts and beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. Windsurfing, sailing and drive bying are regular activities. In fact, Tropico ranks among the top-five places in the world with ideal conditions for windsurfing and gang warfare. Other often played sports include, golf, tennis and corruption which are its major sports. Tropico is a great island getaway, offering not only beautiful pink, sandy beaches, but also a rich cultural heritage and a wide array of sightseeing attractions, such as the black market. This sophisticated island has a distinguishably Cuban flavor - "La siesta" and the sport of drinking rum are quite popular. Its upscale shopping and gourmet dining will please vacationers with distinctive Latino taste. Throughout the Caribbean, Tropico boasts some of the lowest prices on certain goods. There are goods bargains on other goods such as coffee and cocaine. The capital of La Tropicana is often considered the most vibrant and exciting city of Tropico, while the municipality of Oviedo is still occupied by a herd of crocodiles. Its Latin American charm blends well with the contemporary commercial buildings. It is also a port city and the harbor accommodates cruise liners and smugglers boats. The politics of Tropico function within a framework of a Presidential Republic and a people's junta with strong local traditions; constitutional safeguards for nationals of Tropico include: freedom of drinking, salsa and social friday. Executive power is vested in El General, and is exercised by El General, on the advice of El General, who, together, form El General. Legislative power is vested in El General. The political system is dominated by El General, and the representatives of the six political factions: Capitalists, Religious, Militarists, Communists, Environmentalists and Intellectuals. The judiciary of Tropico is dependent of El General. Jurisprudence is based on El General common law. Many of the country's legislative practices derive from the unwritten conventions of, and precedents set by, the El General; however, Tropico has evolved variations according to El General's mood. The local currency is the Tropican Peso but also smuggled cigars are accepted throughout the island. The official language of Tropico is Spanish, and english for drug dealers. Electricity is normally in the Presidential Palace but some hotels have their own generators and offer transformers. As far as driving, "Fortune favours the bold" rule apply, so please don't cross the street alone, your partner or your friend might come to an hand when you need a shield for yourself. You will need a valid driver's license plus a driver's permit issued at the airport (cost is 5$ dollars + 15$ to bribe the Licensing Department officer) to rent a car. To get to Tropico you would fly into El General International Airport. The airport is located approximately northwest of La Tropicana centre which is the capital of Tropico. Each traveller is required to pay departure tax of 20$ + 10$ to bribe the guard at the airport upon leaving the island. The average temperature in Tropico is 82 degrees in the summer and 79 degrees in the winter. The balmy, tropical climate is cooled by constant sea breezes, but it is sunnier and drier than the other Caribbean islands. The dry season is from December to June; during the so-called wet season (July to November) some brief rain showers are likely, followed by the typical hot and dry Tropican sun.
  8. I took the decision to leave CNRP without bawing too much about what happened. I have stated before, privately, that was my intention to leave CNRP sooner or later... i first discovered this game when it opened, then i left the website for years, and then i rejoined and discovered CNRP, when the maps of Asia, Africa and America were entirely blank, when players did not hate themself but rather enjoyed the fun of roleplaying a nation. I remember my first roleplay, the board was so small nobody ever answered. There are many people who influenced my roleplay during my time here: Botha, Generalissimo, Kaiser Martens, Tahoe, Josipito. But along with good times, i went also trought bad times, but it was different, we had no OOC chat.. there was no community with rules, we had no rules, we just respected each other without enforcing any rule, we didn't need the moderation or the GMs to find an outcome for our roleplay, and people actually roleplayed their countries , not the parody of pseudo-countries. Since the establishment of GM's and the creation of the #cnrp channel, i had the feeling the community was becoming the private club of a few people and this is still my opinion. If you are still reading and wondering why i'm not insult other people's mother and sisters well.. i'm not that kind of person who puts hatred in "issues" related to a roleplay board, it was interesting tought to see all the efforts put by the other forum members to force me to give up. After almost 650 days of CNRP, 5 nations and countless fabulous scenarios, i proudly leave this board leaving a huge harray of detailed roleplays and realistic nations history. I don't blame anyone for making me leave, i have decided to leave, because i don't want to waste time in a place where i am not welcome. I'm not acting like a victim, i just don't like this place anymore, this is not the same CNRP i have joined almost two years ago. I will try to say thanks to everyone who roleplayed with me and always respected me as a roleplayer: Kaiser Martens: The most influencing player of CNRP Arathog: Un Italiano vero Tahoe: Another very important influencing player Executive Minister: One of he few who still knows how to roleplay a nation Botha: The one i tried to emulate over and over, with uncertain results Cody Seb: We had few chances to roleplay, but everytime it was a pleasure Colerich Krieg: Too bad your empire didn't last too long in Spain, but i enjoyed the roleplay - it was so similar to the spanish civil war. Josipito... the one who really influenced my detailed roleplay style. I'm not sure if he is still around here and i'm not sure if he remembers me under the name of "King Joseph III, probably only a handful of players remember this name, Josipito of the PDSAR. There are also many people, who confuse CNRP with Real Life, i have enjoyed roleplaying with. These people include Sargun, Lynneth, Sarah Tintagyl, Subtleknifeweilder - but i'm sure you forgot about those times, i think now you are realizing i am the same person you used to laugh with. For those who think my roleplay has been boring and empty, you don't even know what i am talking about. Roleplaying a country is not something everyone can do, it requires OOC knowledge of how a goverment works and what institutions and bodies are necessary to properly run a nation, this is not something everyone knows. I think i have always roleplayed my nations realistically, and i have no reasons to be ashamed by my time in this board. I saw many people coming and many people going away for various reasons. I'm not sure this is my last post here, i think i might come back one day. Goodbye.
  9. No he didn't, my IG stats prove him wrong. Also, i forgot to tell you my nation exists http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=333888
  10. The sicilian league didn't declare war on me, he didn't attack me and he has no troops in my territory
  11. ROME - Representatives of the major political groups of Italy -- some of them skilled politicians, some of them exile leaders coming home and others political neophytes united by their suffering under the former fascist regime -- will declare the first postwar interim government in Italy this week, Italian officials said tonight. After eight hours of negotiations with President Junio Borghese, a ''governing council'' of between 20 and 25 members will be granted extensive executive powers. The new body of Democrats, Conservative and Liberals will share responsibility for running the country until a stable government is elected and a new constitution ratified, the officials said. There is no clear timetable for a transition to an elected government. Italian political figures who have been involved in negotiations said that the process was speeded by the deteriorating security situation in Italy and mounting Italian casualties from attacks. That had created a sense of urgency within the Borghese administration to create a credible Italian governing body that could help counter the negative image of fascism that is being exploited by the Sicilians. From an undisclosed location, President Borghese said: ''There is no question that we have got a security issue in Italy. We are just going to have to deal with it person by person. We are going to have to remain tough.'' Junio Borghese said the governing council would appoint and supervise a council of ministers that would run the government, send diplomats abroad to represent Italy, establish a new currency, set fiscal and budget policy and, perhaps, take a prominent role in national security even as the country remains in a state of lawlessness. ''If they appoint a minister and he doesn't perform, they can fire him,'' Borghese said. ''That's pretty executive.'' ''All along we felt that it was important to have an institution that could exercise real responsibility in the executive part of the government,'' Borghese said. The goal was to ''get Italians to share responsibility with us, to face up to some of the hard decisions,'' he said, adding, ''so we are more than happy to share responsibility.''
  12. No, i'm not gonna leave (yet, i will probably leave at the end, i want to see how far this thing will go - and yes, i have nothing better to do) I was accepted on the map and my nation still exists http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=333888
  13. Guess what It exists http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=333888
  14. You can delete a nation only if it doesen't exist IG, or after 20 days of inactivity on the forum. My nation is on the map - you can't delete it for OOC reasons. http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=333888 http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=333888 http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=333888 http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=333888 I am still here
  15. This map is against the roleplay: http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=333888 My nation still exists, you can't delete me from the map
  16. By dawn, we will see who is subjected by who.
  17. If you can send a TV crew to broadcast videos of Italian soldiers to the world we would concentrate more on fighting than dealing with national leaders on drugs
  18. If the Lybian command thinks we are done, they are wrong. They may have forced the Government to an undisclosed location, but the army is still here and bears Italian flag
  19. The 30.000 men, 3000 tanks strong non-state force sends its "Hello!" to those who beleive Italy is in Sicilian hands.
  20. If the Italian Republic doesen't exist anymore, who is leading the 30.000 soldiers against the Lybian army in Catanzaro? And why nothing stopped our troops from entering Calabria? The statistics are on our side.
  21. CATANZARO - A 30.000 strong Italian force, backed by thousands tanks and artillery, massed on the outskirts of Catanzaro for a showdown with Lybian forces, raising fears of an Italian assault on the acient city. Meanwhile, a Defense Ministry official said the Black Shirts are demanding the return of the Republican Military Government and refuse to stand down and return to their homes, they said they will turn against the Italian Government if necessary. Junio Borghese, in an undisclosed location, is coordinating the troops from his command center. Since the beginning of the conflict, Italian officials tried to negotiate a solution to control the masses of extrene-right supporters. A failure to meet their requests could turn what has been a limited revolt by into an outright Fascist rebellion. A military advance could however inspire loyality to the Italian Government. After the success of Gallipoli, the morale of the troops is reported very high. "I fear only defeat. I am ready to sacrifice my blood for this country. But I call on the Italian people not to let my killing put an end to their rejection of the Lybian occupation" said an Italian soldiers. Italian commanders vowed to occupy Lybia, though officials suggested they would not move so far. The target is not Lybia. The target is Catanzaro and the task is the liberation of Calabria "We will hunt them down and destroy them" said another Italian soldier marching to the frontline. The Italian military has been fighting on several fronts across Italy this day against Lybian armies in Puglia and Calabria. Initial reports of Sicilian troops landing in Calabria were lately found out to be simple propaganda. The Italian Ministry of Defense confirm there is no sicilian presence in the southern regions, and promised the Lybian invaders will be pushed back into the sea by the end of the week. PRIVATE TO NoN FROM: MINISTERO DELLA DIFESA, REPUBBLICA ITALIANA TO: MINISTRY OF DEFENSE, NATION OF NOD The Italian people as a whole expresses wholeheartedly thanks for the support of the Nation of Nod. We can't write long messages due to the instability of the communication line, but we will never forget your noble contribution to the defense of our nation. As soon as this damn war will be over, we will invite you to Rome to partecipate in the Victory parade. Sincerely President Junio Borghese, Commander in Chief of the Italian Armed Forces
  22. The Italian Republic finds this statement a ridicolous piece of propaganda. Italian forces still 30.000 men strong liberated Gallipoli few hours ago. Lybian forces will soon be forced out of Calabria. The deployment of 150.000 sicilian soldiers is just a failed propagand attempt. The Sicilian League has no navy and only a few tens of airplanes. It would be impossible for them to move 150.000 soldiers in Italy in just a few hours, this kind of operations require months of preparations and the Sicilian league existed for only a few days. The Italian Republic is still here, and its armed forces will soon drive back the invaders.
  23. I'm not going to leave, nothing will change in my roleplay. Accept my roleplay or ignore it, it's simple, i have stated before i don't care if you ignore me, i don't need to roleplay nuclear wars every 2 days to enjoy some roleplay, i roleplay a nation, and this is a Nation Simulation Game, not a "10 people who want to impose their rules on people who think there are better things to do than kick our roleplayers off the map"
  24. "Respect, you gotta give it to get it" I have always respected the community. At some point tought, i decided to try another RP style that i find more interesting and dynamic. I have always recognized non RP wars - happening to other countries, i'm not the one who doesen't respect the rest of the community, is part of the community not respecting my roleplay choices. I don't have to accept your rp style, i already to that, they are the ones who have to accept my existance ad a nation 90% related to IG stats. Let's clear out if accepting your roleplay style means recognizing 1.000.000 soldiers invasions within a few hours in my nation, total blockades on a country with 2500 KMs of coast and unrealistic and incoherent sudden changes of government despite my plans for the country's roleplay... that's a no, i will not recognize that.
