The Free State of Somalia will be defended by the Italian Army until we will find the resources and the funds to create a local army ((OOC: When some decent roleplayer shows up and gets the land)). OOC: The correct definition is "Self-governing unincorporated territory of the Italian Republic", like Puerto Rico with the United States. So they are not two nation, one nation - Repubblica Italiana, and two government bodies, one for the Peninsula, and one for Somalia, renamed "Stato Libero della Somalia", I just roleplaying the colony, calling it with another name and giving it more autonomy. Somalia is still under partial jurisdiction of Somalia because the Italian constitution is valid on it. IMHO, is still a better roleplay than just land grabbing some territory and never roleplay any changes and scenarios, at least i have deeply roleplayed the development of Somalia.

But they were part of the Italian state and they have been part of it for 150 years and we, as the rightful successors of the first Italian Republic, we should control those islands and not Rebel Army. We are not really interested in the debate weather Rebel Army should give them or not, we know they are imperialist and colonialist as much as we are (were), the point is: Why should we give the Mechodamians a territory they have nothing to do with because "European colonization of the african continent must be stopped", if Rebel Army controls islands who have nothing to do with their culture and their traditions? How comes is colonialism only when Europeans do it?

Sicily and Sardinia ARE historically Italian islands, both geographically and culturally, and were part of the first Italian Republic (the one founded in 1946). So they ARE Italian islands, as the whole population speaks Italian and follows Italian traditions. If you knew something about Italian history, you would know Italy and Sardinia were protagonist in the reunification of Italy in the middle 19th century. Rebel army is just an Arab government in Italian land, nothing more, there have been 0 documented changes or reforms in Italy and Sardinia, a sign that they think is just a pile of dirt in the middle of the sea. You are just trying to find a way out saying they are not fully Italian (which shows your ASTONISHING ignorance on the history of Italy) to justify Rebel Army colonialism (remember "It's not colonialism when we do it!") but even the rocks on the alps know Sicily and Sardinia are 100% ethnically and culturally Italian islands.

90% of infrastructures and social reforms in Somalia have been completed by our colonial administration. Without our efforts, there would be a desertic wasteland with a favela-like city called Mogadiscio in the center.

We will not stop infrastructure building in Somalia, because despite what the hypocritical nations of Rebel Army and Mechodamia think, we want the best for the Somali people, and granting the country full sovereignty is still a better choice if compared to an unconditional surrender to these foreigners who know nothing about the life in Somalia and the needs of the Somali people. You have history books in your country? There is only one reason a country declares war on another country: Because it wants to expand its borders - end of story. Imperialism Imperialism Imperialism, that's why countries declare war. Italy is probably the most stable country of the European Continent. In 6 months of sovereignty and independence our country didn't face any sudden change we didn't previously approved and planned, like democratization and de-fascistization. Meanwhile we were sorrounded by nord/communist/fascist/socialist/whateverist revolutions/wars/state coups/rebellions/invasions/krauts and sausages for breakfast.

Because Sicily and Sardinia are 1000% ethnically and culturally Italian.
