Well, you can also view it the other way as well. When I'm looking for trade partners, I let them know that they will be trading with a Grey Nation. I'm guessing most players just don't want to do that. I usually get responses like "Could you change your team?" or "Sorry. I only trade with same team nations." or something like that. The search of a trade partner just continues then. Overall it's not that big of a deal for me. We're on Grey. It's the wastelands. What do you expect?

I'm glad to read that things are moving along nicely for you, AirMe. Being in a small alliance is quite something. I'm not sure how it is in other alliances, but every member accepted into the alliance I am in is important to me so to each one accepted, I like sending them a personal message welcoming them, letting them know that we are here to help. I just think it's nice to know that someone in your own alliance knows that you are here. Anyways, good luck with Ronin!

Bob Janova, Just wanted to say this was quite an interesting blog entry to read. I'm not all that knowledgeable about CN politics, but I had few questions I wanted to ask if you don't mind. 1.) Out of the power groups you have mentioned, only SF and C&G consist of MADPs between alliances. Because of that MADP clause, does this separate these two "power groups" from others? or does that not really matter at all? 2.) You consider the ex-Hegemony members as one power group. Do you believe that these alliances will still stay together when this "Karma War" is over? or do you think after this war, these alliances will separate and head into different directions? and why? This blog entry was quite interesting to read. A lot of it is a blend of IC/OOC actions within the game and it seems that a lot of players can not separate the difference, especially if certain in game actions evoke a negative response from them. That said, it is my personal belief that no alliance should decide who does or does not get to play CyberNations. Only the CyberNations staff should decide that. Allowing any player, new or old, to play this game is always a good thing. Of course, there are always actions that would warrant a player from never returning such as truely OOC actions that are illegal (e.g. DDoS attacks). That should be assumed, though.

Interesting stuff here. The Tyberion Covenant was an alliance I was so tempted to join. But, I must say The Grey Council almost acts like one "squad" as you described. Since we're not that huge (hovering right at that 20+ members mark), we all basically help each other out. We don't have assigned roles like Player A, B, and C are soldiers and Player D is a bank, but it does play out like that. Like in a rogue attack we are currently dealing with, three members (one of them being me) came in to help and anyone not in providing support. I know it's not as organized, but it gets the job done and it's quite nice. Quick question. Were any of these ideas successfully implemented during your time in the TTC? I'm assuming the TTC was working towards them, but "things happened" that led to its disbandment and the ideas just could not get off the ground completely.
