Neither of the announcements are surprising to anyone, really. The unfortunate thing is that this thread about the GGA being gone isn't true. I wait for the day when GGA is either gone, or fixed. I'm not sure which will happen first.

Our forums are back up now, so I suggest that if you have an account on our forums that you change your password ASAP. In response to Bob Janova: One of the people he attempted to hack was on a US DoD computer, so I'm sure some type of action is already being taken against whomever it was that did this.

While I know my opinion is ranked quite low in some folks books, and I know that me stating it likely won't change any minds, I will anyway: GOD should suspend the reps for the remainder of the war. This isn't about whether NPO deserves more punishment than they got in your eyes or not. This is about common courtesy. I don't care if Pacifica did it two years ago. I don't care that you think they didn't pay off all their debts by being destroyed in the Karma war. What I do care about are the facts, and those happen to be two things. One, Pacifica has done nothing to get itself involved in this war - militarily or politically. Two, if GOD doesn't suspend the payments for the remainder of the war, they are forcing Pacifica to commit what has been considered an act of war on Planet Bob for a long time. That said, it's your prerogative to do whatever benefits you most, GOD. In my opinion, suspending the reps for the remainder of the war is exactly that.

As far as I know, my account and information were not stolen... but we're working as hard as we can to identify exactly who the hacker was. I thank everyone for their well-wishes in our endeavors to find who did this to us, and I thank those who're helping us do so.

Wow. I can't believe I'm even making this thread. I mean, really. I've been playing CyberNations for more than three years. So many things have happened in that time. I'd regale you all with my story, but I don't believe many of you feel up to reading an entire wall of text about how I was unaligned for a long time, about my fun and trouble in the Order, about my great time in MK, and about how I've been doing with Darkstar. To be honest, if I were you I wouldn't want to read it all... and if I were me, which I obviously am, I wouldn't want to write the whole thing out. So I'm not going to. Instead, I'm just going to thanks those who've made and run this game, and those who've made this game worth playing. Thank you Admin. Thank you Mods. I know that each day you deal with complaints, and you hear the grievances of the community. Once in a while, we have a thread started by a Mod pointing out that you all do a lot of hard work, and then people thank you. I don't remember seeing anyone thank the men and women who make our fine addiction possible. So, thank you. For the development, and continual running of the game. Thank you for putting up with the community. Thank you for persevering when things got tough and annoying. Thank you. And I would also like to thank everyone that posts. Everyone that is on IRC. Without you, without the community, I may have left a very long time ago. Some have been hostile, some have been welcoming. Most have been ambivalent. The contrasts between all the different parts of the community, all the people, the way they interact, the politics before, during, or after wars - it's all intriguing and it's all amazing. I thank you for being the community that you are. I don't mind that you've morphed over time - if you were to stay static, I'd find you boring. But you're not, because you're real people. These will be filled with information about how Darkstar is faring both internally, and externally. It is my wish that Darkstar not be one of those enigmatic small alliances that people know hardly anything about - I'd much rather people knew much about us than nothing at all. Recently, Darkstar has been struggling internally due to mild inactivity. Certain members of High Government have not been available for various reasons; some good, some bad, some not given. Not all changes were due to those reasons, however. I looked at the set up, saw each persons strengths, and placed them where they best benefited the alliance. As such, this has led to changes in Government (only the Senior Government will be announced here,) which will be presented later on. Along the lines of how we are faring, I'd like to explain our situation in this war, as it very much deals with our external affairs. Mushroom Kingdom, as our protector, has the right to call on us at any moment, and we will be there as soon as they beckon. I agree, good sir. This alliance is pretty darn tootin' if you ask me. Not that I'm biased or anything But really, if you're looking for an alliance, choose Darkstar. We're pretty awesome.
