1. Now all we need to do is wait until the IRON-MK treaty is announced. I know a certain orange alliance who will cling to its treaty with MK with inhuman strength to prevent getting rolled.
 2.
Out of curiousity, do you have totals for infra and tech lost/destroyed as well? I know you can look at any sort of statistic in lots of ways, but I think those numbers would be interesting too. Also, why UPN, if you don't mind me asking?
As i recall he attacked Atheus because of a grudge. UPN didn't take kindly to someone going nuclear rogue on one of their members and engaged him. It's been going on ever since.
 3.
This should make for some good laughs.
Indeed. I null voted because this is clearly a joke poll, but if i had to select who has the most political influence I'd have to say NPO. Not because they use their influence, but because so many people and alliances go out of their way to deny NPO influence.
 4.
Ohhhhh you mean kinda like the world holding a grudge against the NPO for years and then finally bringing the Karma war about...got ya
No, this goes deeper than that. Grudges against NPO were for the most part politically motivated. Envy if you will to obtain the position of power held by NPO. If the grudges had been of the same calibre than Karma would still be raging today. This is solely to hurt otherwise decent folks (although one may not always like them or agree with their decisions). It has gone far beyond payback and therefore it has become petty.
 5.
I know that currently there is an embargo on fun in the game and I'll possibly be ZI'd for mentioning it, but I gotta know...why is it pathetic? Is it because he doesnt have a "proper" cb? Because ya know...aiding a rogue(NSO v RoK and co war), a pre-emp strike(TOP-CnG war) and moralism( \m/- NpO war) are sooooo much better reasons than a personal grudge. Is it because its your ally? Would it be ok if it was some random alliance you weren't connected too? My time going rogue was easily the most fun I've ever had in the game and Destro has my full support
Because of the lengthy petty grudges. Something I've always despised.
 6.
Agreed. 1/2 a mil in damaged by one nation? Pretty freaking ridiculous.
Two nations currently. I believe that at the height of this rogue group it was 6 members. Let's be honest though, with the multi billion warchest and the tactics used i doubt any alliance would do better. I still think these actions are rather pathetic.
 7.
1. Planet Bob did become a better place by alittle bit not by leaps and bounds except for the alliances oppressed by the NPO for which it became a much better place.
Decline of planet bob has accelerated and apathy on planet bob is at an all time high. Define "better" because it doesn't look that way to me.
2. I don't know what you expect but I agree with Azaghul that it would just go back to being a NPO-ex Heg dominated game rather than some new power grouping.
Already explained in the post you quoted.
I also think you are giving CnG and SF too much power. They just lost MK and FARK and alot of firepower. PB is the block running things now especially with MK tied to Umbrella and GOONs hip pretty much making CnG just part of PB via =LOST=-MK&GOONs and ODN-Umbrella&MK.
The thing you're missing is that the real strength/danger (depending on your point of view) of C&G/SF is in the treaty web woven around those two. MK and Fark departures shook things up a bit, but both are still tied to those blocks though individual treaties.
 8. It's going to be interesting to see how many people confuse being vocal on the boards with political influence.
 9.
I think you are in for a pretty big disappointment on that score. If this world order falls I think a far, far more likely outcome is simply a return of the previous one (NPO et al) than a wholly new one emerging.
NPO may become more prominent, but all the former hegemony alliances + IRON/TOP et all have taken severe damage from the onslaught and the following reparation payments. They may emerge but even if a destructive war happened between the superpowers C&G/SF the former hegemony would need at least a few more months. However considering the amicably relations between C&G/SF today such a conflict could very well ensure a relatively short war, not enough to devastate both yet enough to corrode the current imbalance in power. Pandorra's box would also be damaged because several members are closely linked to C&G/SF. After such events where neither side has a definite edge and where former friends (C&G/SF) may not trust each other enough anymore to combine forces against a unified foe the political landscape could transform itself. Result: a true power vacuum and opportunities. That's a future for planet bob I'd look forward to. Edit: Grammar is not a friend after a few beers.
 10.
You'd be quite surprised.
I'm sure there as some misguided souls. Call me an optimist because i actually believe the population of planet bob has enough braincells left to disagree with Azaghul his statement.
 11.
Except for Umbrella, please underestimate us
With all the stuff which has been aired its more likely you'll be overestimated instead of underestimated. Just remember that results achieved in the past are no guarantee for the future.
 12.
The politics are quite fluent right now.
You must be in denial. Let's just say i do not share your opinion on the matter and i strongly doubt many across planet bob do share your opinion.
 13. It is never wise to underestimate an opponent. During my time in the GGA i participated in quite a number of wars and in most of my wars i decimated my opponents. Does it mean that i underestimate my opponents or overestimate my own fighting skills? No on both accounts. Despite that i was triumphant in the majority of my battles i encountered some skilled opponents from alliances whom are generally not regarded as military powerhouses such as UPN, MHA and GATO. I respect them and hence i will not underestimate any alliance because they can/will have skilled fighters amongst them. Polaris is a large alliance with undoubtedly skilled and less skilled players. Even if a war is lost those skilled players will transfer some of their knowledge to the lesser skilled players and as a result the military efficiency will increase. Bottom line: Do not underestimate Polaris or any other alliance.
 14.
Thank you for saying Athens was a leading alliance in Karma. I do not believe anyone was truly going after a fresh start . We were attempting to curb the NPO aggression that many on our side felt. This is exactly what we accomplished. So I do not see any irony in this fantasy of yours and on that point I agree. Now if you think this would some how stop Athens aggression you are sadly mistaken. Our pure desire of dominance and evil is unmatched. We will crush all with the hooves of the all might Llama. You will bow before our wooliness. The air from your lungs will be denied as we twist the treaty web around your neck. So wrap your dreams of irony around you , like a snuggie , and I hope it keeps you warm in the cold days we bring.
Athens became sort of the spokesperson for a large part of Karma so that definitely puts you in place as a "leading alliance". To deny that would be foolish. I'm not going to deny that for some Karma was solely for payback, but at the same time it was frequently voiced during/after karma that planet bob would be better off without the NPO hegemony. As i said before i hold no ill will towards Athens (or MK) so to portrait my comments as a grudge/gloat is uncalled for. Athens on its own is not a particular aggressive alliance (although there are some incidents which do not reflect well on you such as the "alliance wide tech raid" ) but the extensive treaty web which for a large part revolves around Athens is for a large part responsible for the recent apathy and decline of planet bob. If the treaty web would become fractured or even shattered this would be a grand opportunity for us all. Besides the things i already mentioned, the irony is also strong in the fact that such a conflict will not happen soon simply because it means possible risks and people have a tendency to crawl in a safe position. As long as their own alliance is safe they couldn't care less about planet bob. The irony is contained in the fact that when opportunity for improvement presents itself people will not take it. They prefer they devil they know to the devil they do not know.
Do you really think new blocks wouldn't form or grow in to fill the void?
It is quite possible (to be expected actually) that new blocks would form, but in the aftermath of the collapse of the current superblocks the politics would become a lot more fluent thereby improving the fun on Bob.
 15.
What would be the irony?
Let's see. If MK and Athens would dug it out. Two leading alliances of Karma going at each other with a possible breakdown of the treaty web which made the defeat of NPO possible. It could be the real fresh start many hoped Karma would be. A planet bob where every alliance could grow and develop in its own way without the shadow of a super block/treaty web hovering over them However it will not happen, not now at least. If you cannot see the irony in this, I'm not sure if anyone can explain it to you.
 16.
I need more beer for all this
There is no such thing as enough beer and popcorn for something like this.
 17.
Roll Athens! I've always thought they were a horrible alliance.
Wouldn't that be something. A certain irony. I don't have anything against Athens, but a war against Athens would at least put some holes in that massive treaty web.
 18.
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but if nukes were used in GW2/3. Might've changed things quite a bit.
An argument used many times, but history also showed us that NPO could recover pretty fast.
 19. Things which could have been interesting: Green Civil war never happened. GOONS moves away from NPO and engages VE together with \m/ and Genmay. GGA actually comes to the rescue of VE with some of the other green alliances. NPO stays out. GGA gets an early wake up call not to depend on others too much. With such events it is very possible that Karma would never have materialized.
 20. Any alliance with over 200 nuclear capable nations is not to be taken lightly. As with any alliance I'm sure there are competent and less competent military nations amongst the ranks of Polaris. One thing i do know is that Polaris has a good level of organization and enough brains amongst them to learn from previous battles. Hence the smart move is not to underestimate Polaris.
 21.
It is a classy move, but no auxiliary alliance should be given reps that drag on for 8 months in the first place. Even for a primary target (like NPO in Karma, the obvious example) it is arguably too long.
I tend to agree. Karma was about payback, but terms such as the ones mentioned especially for an alliance the size of TSO was harsh beyond compare. I applaud that the remaining debt is canceled, but to see such leftovers from a war this long ago makes me sad.
 22. It was known from the start that this would be a long haul. To be honest i don't think there's anyone who cares anymore about your little escapade, i know i don't.
 23. On the Sheep? I thought only those from Scotland/New Zealand did that.
 24. With the recent streak of disbandment notices i half expected this to be FAN's turn to throw in the towel. Anyway, congratulations to those ranked.
 25.
Woah, my colony expires in 4 days. after that i might have to wait until my next war to rebuild it.
If you were in range i would have been happy to nuke you for a week Should be sufficient to cut the costs
