Furthermore, we would like to ask as to why the Arctic must be involved here, as Anticosti Island is not within range of the area most geographers refer to as the Arctic. Otherwise, it appears to be a good treaty and we are willing to sign a revised version of it. On a related note, if the treaty is passed, we would like to know if the Disparuean Forces will be allowed to maintain its various bases in Anticosti. This will enable us to protect the island and surrounding waters better, therefore fulfilling our duties under the treaty and Disparuean law.
