Greywall
The standoff had lasted for months now, Europe on the brink of war yet again. Spain had enough, there was no gain in a war with France and great Britain and limited contact with Italy did not make anything easier. So Mendoza did what he had to do to for his people. (Private) To: France, great Britain and Italy It's time we've talked and ended this foolish standoff and blockade. I ask the French government for permission for a conference at Tunisia to end this diplomatically.
Mogar
A French Diplomat would be sent, they had grown tired of waiting for the Italian response to requesting diplomacy, it was good to see at least Spain realized this. Fizzydog
Italy will come and be represented by the great il Duce Benito Mussolini. He will be accompanied by several high level diplomats.
Greywall
Mendoza would arrive at Tunisia with a small guard, he had acquired a small building on the South side of town through some connections he had within the territory. When the French and Italian representatives arrived they would be greeted rather coldly. After several hours of waiting Mendoza walked the leaders over to a small table, "I guess the British will not be joining us" he sat down in one of the chairs signalling the others to sit down, "Lets talk about avoiding this needless war"
Fizzydog
Mussolini slammed his frail fist on the table. "This pointless standoff must end! Italy cannot afford another lapse of government near its unstable colonial headquarters! We must secure a safe zone around Tripoli."
Mogar
"France has not had a lapse in governance, and our reorganization took less than a week, additionally I believe the Swiss should be invited to this conference, as this is a European problem that affects all of those surrounding our mutual borders." Captain Enema
Van Der Kop A Pheel walks into the conference on cue and takes a seat. "The direct democracy of the Federal Swiss Government does not take kindly to instability in Europe, neither do we feel it good and proper that our French brothers have their interests in Africa threatened. How might we assist in bringing this problem to a successful conclusion?"
Mogar
"Tripoli is secure, so it is up to the Italians to remove their forces from our borders, otherwise this instability will continue, and tensions are like water upon a stove, if left unchecked, they will eventually come to boil..." Zoot Zoot
Britain is of the opinion that Italy needs to remove itself from Africa. Italy has twenty four hours from the end of this meeting to begin the process of returning its forces home otherwise Britain will remove them by force. Captain Enema
An order is sent by the Swiss government for all Swiss nationals to evacuate Italy.
Fizzydog
British attempts to escalate the situation towards war, as your warmongering Empire has done before, will be rejected by Italy. It is not only ridiculous, but impossible to ask Italy to remove itself from Tripoli. We will, in the interests of peace, remove our claim on Tunisia and allow French occupation of the area, under the agreement of a 30km demilitarized zone between our colonies. Diplomacy can work, gentlemen. Lets try it.
Zoot Zoot
Like we said, there is no negotiation. Get out of North Africa, and Britain will allow you to retain Eritrea. As it stands your colonies are cut off from Italy, and if you do not agree to our terms by the end of this meeting, Italy will lose thousands of sailors and hundreds of ships across the Mediterranean by the end of the day. By the end of the week, the coalition lined up against Italy will have obliterated your fleet at sea and your ports. By the end of the month, Italy will be fighting on the homefront as the coalition, lead by France and Britain invades your nation and takes the war to the streets of Rome. Your colonies will fall by Britains extensive military force in Africa and you will be powerless to stop it happening. Those are your options. Fizzydog
Are we to simply accept these astonishingly hypocritical and aggressive from the English barbarians? We have seen Britain expand unabashed in the Africas and Americas, and here they attempt to further monopolize the world in their favor. We call for an appeal to reason; the international order cannot be upset by such brash and unreasonable actions.

Captain Enema
"Any attempt to spread any fighting to mainland Europe over a matter involving a bunch of backwards dirty Africans will be poorly viewed by the Federal Direct Democracy of the Swiss Government. Switzerland hopes that what happens in Africa, stays in Africa." Classified The 1st Swiss Strike Army is given orders to begin preparing for immediate operations. Trucks, tanks, armored cars, and troops immediately begin to move through out Southern Switzerland. The Northern Swiss Army is given orders to go to full strength and secure the borders between Germany and the Austria-Hungary on a defensive posture to ensure no flanking attempts are made by the Germans or the Italians through different lines of advance. A dedicated core of 3000 Fighters is held in central Switzerland to interdict air attacks and the National Redoubt system is put on full alert. These orders are passed quietly via courier and by codeword over the telephone.
Greywall
"Italy retains its territories in Africa, we did not ask to meet here to determine how this war will break out but how to prevent it. Do not make hollow threats here, Spain will hold up the Iberian-Rome Accords and defend Italy if attacked"
Mogar
"We're not going to change our claim to Tunisia, what other states elect to do is not really our decision, so long as the end goal removes Italy as a threat to French stability. I do not believe Italy is in much of a position to negotiate and should accept whatever they are offered, the alternative from our perspective seems far worse." Captain Enema
Classified The lack of response from Italy pushed the Swiss Government to order the 1st Swiss Strike Army to prepare for imminent combat operations. As the majority of the units were locally sited they are ordered to quietly begin recalling reservists. The reserve brigades, supported by a Federal Corp sized unit will act as reinforcements or defensively depending upon how the situation unfolds.
