freakwars
When do we do this? Also, I have a question about the usage of elementals, would the air elementals be able to be used to shape the air into a sort of magnifying glass for use as binoculars and suchlike? Cybil de Blanc
I'm finalizing military information. Once it's posted, I'll have it critiqued, and then, this can get rolling. We also need a map maker to get this rolling as well. :-/ As for the air elementals...I can see them gathering up bits of glass and snow to reflect light in the air and such, but I can't see them doing it, realistically, for purposes other than showing off, and maybe giving a bit of disorientation to intruders in their territory. They can, however, bring things to you, provided said thing is light enough. You'd need a lot of air elementals to lift a whale carcass off a beach, for example. Fizzydog
Wait, so can I go along and tell you where my people went, thus claiming it as there research territory?
Cybil de Blanc
You mean claiming land as your own in the name of science?
Fizzydog
Yes, and creating science labs and small living villages in it.
Cybil de Blanc
Why not. Many discovered areas of North America were the result of looking for trade routes to China, after all.
Tahsir
so, when is this going to get off the ground?
Fizzydog
Just bumping, trying to keep this amazing idea alive. Bump. Will this ever start?
Sargun II
Bumping is bad unless you're in the Player Created Alliance forum, Fizzy.
Cybil de Blanc
I'm really trying to get it started, but the military information is stubbornly going along. I may scrap my idea for a unique method of warfare in the setting, and just use the CNRP method with a few adaptions for the setting. Everyone all right with this? That, and there's been lots of alternate RP ideas popping up lately, so I don't want it turn out to be a "fad" thing. I'm sure there are those who want this to go on for a long run, and not just die out within the first one or two weeks. Plus, I still need a mapmaker and a good map. Fizzydog
If I download Paint.NET, I maybe able to do it. But I need to see if my computer can take it.
Sargun II
As always, I am capable of doing maps and since I have the newest version of the shop of photographs I am undoubtedly technically the most advanced here. also I do the maps for like every freaking RP so why not
Lynneth
I could also do mappan, though I like procrastinating.
Cybil de Blanc
Sargun, you are awesome. As are you, Lynneth. Now, just to sort out this dang military thing.... Edited March 14, 2010 by Cybil de Blanc
Sargun II
As you suggested before, just modify the existing CNRP system to fit the times. Something too structured won't work, something too free won't work, and just completely copying won't work. Take what works first and work off that
Fizzydog
Do we need to start off in our CNRP areas, or could we start off anywhere? My scientist aren't looking for lousy rocks, they want rare plants and animals. And are those epicly awesome whale balloons allowed?
Cybil de Blanc
Whale balloons fall under the jurisdiction of cyborgs, and I have already covered that. You start off in your CNRP areas, and claim land through RP.

Cybil de Blanc
And we're go! Feel free to start any and all RPs in the Steampunk CNRP world (once we get the map up, of course) - the guide has finally been finished. Also, what should the universe (for purposes of distinguising it from CNRP) be called? CNRPC? Sargun II
SCNRP, as she has stated.

Cybil de Blanc
Yeah, I edited it into the last bit of the guide. I should have made a note for everyone to read over the final version. Sorry about that. ^^; Oh, and please forgive the typos in the guide. I'm going back to fix that soon enough.
