IC Affirming Caucasus Unity Treaty King Drake has declared the Caucasus Unity Treaty with Grøenlandia will be transferred to the Kingdom of Caucasia. PreambleThe Kingdom of Caucasia and the Federal Republic of Grøenlandia, hereon out known as Drakoria and Grøenlandia respectively, hereby enter into a pact of defense. Article I. Non Aggression The undersigned nations hereby agree to non-aggression. Neither nation will engage in military or undercover operations against the other. Article II. Free Trade Caucasia and Grøenlandia hereby agree to free trade between their nations. All goods traded between the two nations are exempt from tariffs. Article III. Mutual Defense The undersigned nations agree to enter into mutual defense. An attack upon one signatory will be considered an attack upon both, and will be treated as such. Article IV. Treaty Chains Should one signatory be attacked for honoring a non-related treaty, defense becomes optional. Both signatories recognize that defense in this case is no longer required, but it is still encouraged. Article V. Optional Aggression In the event that one signatory engages in an offensive war against a third party, the other signatory is given the option to attack with them. While not required, it is encouraged. Article VI. Cancellation This treaty can be terminated by either signatory at any time, provided that the other nation is made aware of the cancellation 48 hours in advance. This treaty is considered to still be in effect until the 48 hours is up.Should Grøenlandia cease to exist, all of its land holdings in the central Asia area will revert to Caucasian control. Article VII. Trans-Caucasus Canal The signatories of this treaty and the CSSR will have joint control of the canal. Should one of the three aforementioned nations cease to exist, control reverts to the remaining nations. All revenue and debt, policing, and administration of the canal must be split equally among the controlling nations, preferably through the creation of a Trans-Caucasus Canal Authority. Reporters glimpsed him as he was rushed by a score of Liberty Guardsmen to his limo, which was protected by minigun-armed SUVs and Humvees. A short speech was made by the King. "It's good to be back in fresh air! Hospitals aren't my thing. "Many of you have wondered who committed those acts of terrorism. Many of you lost friends or loved ones in Grøenlandia. As of yet, we have no solid evidence. However, we have found the bombs used at the Trans-Caucasus Canal, Grøenlandia's memorial, and the hospital to be of Russian make. This does not mean we accuse Slavorussia of this, but we consider it a possibility. It's also possible the old Communist Party of Drakoria that had gone into hiding committed the crimes. We have no accusations as of yet, but we will make an announcement when we confirm the culprit." Pictures are unavailable because security guards prevent cameras from entering the grounds and the news agency didn't want to buy postcards. Upon arriving, nearly every Caucasian citizen walked straight over to the statue of Laura Kingswell and spat on the pedestal, or, in some cases, climbing on it to deface it with...various bodily materials. Citizens who turn in D$100 receive one Caucasian Mark. The Caucasian Reserve will be monitored on the amount of the new currency printed in Caucasia. Royal Decree 1 Civilian Arms Act Preamble Recognizing that the People of Caucasia are the lifeblood of the nation, and that their protection is the government's priority, the King of Caucasia hereby decrees the following. Article I. Handguns All able-bodied Citizens of Caucasia are hereby required to purchase and own at least one handgun and 100 rounds of ammunition per handgun. Article II. Rifles and Buckshot All able-bodied Citizens of Caucasia are hereby required to purchase and own at least one assault rifle, sniper rifle, shotgun, or other similar firearms, with 200, 100, and 50 rounds of ammunition, respectively. Other firearm/ammunition requirements can be seen about at a local Arms Information center. Article III. Other Weaponry The ownership of hunting weapons is optional, but may substitute a rifle or shotgun in Article II. Explosives, rocket-propelled grenades, and other such weapons are not required. Article IV. Exceptions This Act does not apply to felons, the elderly (70+), the young (<18), non-citizens, drug addicts, alcoholics, or repeat-offenders. Article V. Crime Should a crime be committed with any weapon purchased under this act, the offender will be labeled a felon and sentenced to ten years to life in prison. Should murder be committed with a weapon, the offender is to be subject to the death penalty. Article VI. Termination This act can not be terminated. He will participate in drills, training, and conditioning usually done by the Guards. During this time, Adviser Dan Donegan will be appointed Regent of Caucasia, and will have most of the powers normally vested in the king. Shortly after, Anzhelina was named the Queen of Caucasia, and shall govern in the King's stead in times of absence. Queen Anzhelina also revealed that she had become pregnant with King James's child. OOC: The birth and growth of the son will be sped up a bit for a RP idea later. If I waited by time scale, it would take at least 18-20 months.
